Rey “bleeding” from the mouth from Khali’s vice grip scared the crap out of me when I was little
ong i thought he killed him💀
@@kingslayer9676 i remember hating Khali so much because I thought he killed Rey
Rey always gets the worst beatings
Khali was squeezing the enchilada out of Rey's head😭😭
Same
I always assumed the ladders were made from cheap material, woulda never guessed it was just wood painted chrome
Wood is a cheap material. What other material has the structural integrity to support a 300 LB man and also be able to snap cleanly with human force?
they arent “painted chrome” theres at least a metal coating. maybe aluminum with wooden interior with wires. wood alone will not hold that weight very well usually.
@@threestans9096different ladders. Ones they climb up completely are real. The ones they fall through are wood painted silver. You can see it when they break.
I'm pretty sure they aren't always wood. The ones in WWE (at least recently) don't break, they bend - they're probably thin aluminum like the trash cans. It also seems like when a ladder is set up for someone to go through it, it's never a ladder that someone had climbed previously. Maybe they have them in different materials for different spots, including real normal ladders for when the wrestlers are actually going to use them as ladders?
AEW's cameras have really been letting it slip when it comes filming blading since they changed their director
Cornette keeps pointing it out on his podcast. Thats how i stay in touch with AEW silliness
honestly i dont mind as much cause they seem to care more for the story like the golden lovers story from njpw or whatever thats or roddy piper vs bret as a handing off the reigns type of deal thats what im there for ......as long as they give good matches and give us fucking wars ill let some things go
Lol mick foley never even knew what padding was when he flew off that cell
The ground is padding enough.
He had 20 feet of padding called "air"
If everyone was as good as mick foley, it wouldn't be as special.
Wrestling Flashback:- Eyes Open means Kick Out
Cena at Battleground 2014:- Waits for kane to save pinfall(with eyes open!)
Taker’s eyes were wide when he lost the streak too
He was concussed tbf, he barely remembers that match at all
The Miz “wrist” promo will forever be hilarious 😂
The miz sucks, worst WWE champ ever. He's a mediocre wrestler with some ok mic skills
Eyes open isn't necessarily a kick out signal. It's the wrestler watching the ref's cadence. It's hard to trust it or assume without looking.
Pretty sure that's the reason why it might be considered a signal:
- if the wrestler has to kick out, they'll probably want to keep track of the ref's cadence, to make sure they kick out at the right time, which they would do by looking at them.
- If the wrestler doesn't need to kick out (because it's the match-ending spot), they no longer need to keep track of the ref, so they can just close their eyes or look away.
@BlackPawn14 What I'm saying is that it's talked about as if opening your eyes and staring at the ref is specifically intended to tell him NOT to count to three, which isn't the case. It may be a signal because looking at the guy looking at you count three may indicate he needs to kick out, but it's not some secret handshake of a signal between ref and talent that the video is making out.
Um, no... eyes open is 100% a signal to the ref that they're going for a near fall kickout so the ref knows to pull his 3 count last second.
@@ajcf6gze38jvf It's not, but okay.
@@ajcf6gze38jvf people have been pinned with their eyes open…
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHOW BEETLEJUICE BEING HIT WITH A GUITAR?!? 😂😂😂😂 I AM DEAD!
Can I just see that on repeat

Quiet, slapnuts!
@@zerocool21 THATS MISTER SLAPNUT TO YOU
Nice use of the clip of Slap Nuts beating down Bettlejuice with the gimmicked guitar. That will never, ever, EVER get old. 🤣
Beetlejuice's fake twitching was classic😂
THATS MISTER SLAPNUTS TO YOU
MOX blading has become a meme at this point lol
It makes me NOT to want watch AEW
Moxley is just a talentless loser that can’t do anything interesting so he throws everything into his matches and makes it all mean less for the talented wrestlers on the card because it’s already been done.
He even do that in a houseshow, LOL
@@Phuck_Yew Ok bye.
The thing with wrestlers watching the ref or having their eyes closed makes sense in storyline the same way them not kicking out when the ref is not around to count. They're still conscious and there's no point in kicking out early. Why wouldn't they relax and catch their breath for a little bit?
If their eyes are closed and they are pinned, well, that makes sense because the character is "knocked out".
Yes you’re right but then it makes false finishes less exciting. In hotly contested matches, imma use Roman’s matches for example, there’s usually false finishes or scenarios when an opponent hits the wrestler with their finisher and the crowd thinks it’s over until the wrestler kicks out at the last possible second. The idea is that the finisher knocked them out but they managed to wake themselves back up and Will themselves into a kick out at the last possible moment, thus creating the false finish. Roman’s matches are known to have many false finishes. If Roman gets hit with a finisher and he has his eyes open the whole time, then it destroys the illusion of a false finish because the viewer knows he’ll kick out
Has a wrestler ever swerved people by watching the ref and not kicking out?
@@greghuffman3061 probably, do you think someone would do that tho?
@@tearitup5864 I mean, I've never though to watch their eyes. The biggest tale used to be Michael Cole saying "and it's all over right here!"
The hair dryer one is true af. When I watched SmackDown during it's worst period from 2011 , you can literally tell the crowd is dead af , but for some reason there's the fake hairdryer noise each time , it was so obvious at that point. 😂 The sad thing is this proves WWE actually knows people are bored with their content , but they still continue to do it and put piped in crowd noise. 😂
That's so insanely dangerous to me that they ever let one wrestler blade another. I get why it's done at all, but that should only be done by the one getting bladed.
Remember when Eddie Guerrero bladed to deep and cut an artery?
I mean, the other guy can lift them, slam them, throw them out of the ring, hit them with a chair, throw steel steps at their head, throw them off a cell, suplex them from the top rope, all in all I think blading your opponent is pretty tame.
Based off what Maven says on his CZcams channel, they either blade themselves or somebody who's legacy blades them during the match, they don't let unproven ones blade each otherb
It's worth noting that at some point HHH did opt to use a real sledgehammer, however he would cover the head of the hammer by wrapping his hand around it and delivering more types of "stabbing" blows, often to the stomach
He didn't make that call, wwe did. Its a strange one since you think if they had to make a choice, they'd just get better fake sledgehammers
As a life long wwe fan, this is amazing information. Few things i already knew like the crash pads (i.e: jeff hardy swanton bomb from a very high place, or anyone else splashing down on someone.), blading was a known fact for me probably a few years ago, before that i legitimately thought they really busted themselves open. But the ref thing with the kickouts i never knew, i maybe realized other subtle signs of kicking out, like when the ref goes to count and ever so slightly touches the pinned wrestlers arm or hand to signify to kickout. With the mist spray, that was informative. Never knew that they take a capsule
Is that true blood ?
Usually they're blading, but sometimes they get busted "hard way" - which is, as you assumed, hitting someone so hard they actually bleed. Has happened a few times (accidentally and intentionally) over the years. Used to be more prevalent in the old days.
McMahon is a man from fake business.
As a kid who lived during the "Attitude Era", you never seen the wrestlers "Blading" or any thing like that because it's real to you, but as an adult you focus more on the match and what's going on, like when they talk to each other during the match, calling their "spots". But when John Cena talked about "Piped in Crowd Noise" in Austin Theory's matches, I laughed my ass off!! BTW "Kayfabe" is NOT Dead!!!" lol #WrestlingFlashback
Can you please share the timestamp is that? I didn't noticed that one.
Same here I've caught myself seeing the wrestlers talking to each other saying my moves next
I've used a Halloween blood capsule before in backyard wrestling match ...fun times.
8:50 are you sure that was a dummy of stephanie mcmahon? her mouth was moving the whole time
This guy just makes shit up, there are a lot of things in this video that are just plain wrong.
Surprise to see that Randy was nervous! Randy is born to do this! Randy is destined to be the greatest wrestler!
Wwe wrestlers actually don’t blade anymore, it was banned in 2008 I think
They still use blood capsules and mist tho
They avoid blood in general at this point unless you bled the hard way
2:17 if you believe Hogan's autobiography you'll never catch him blading
"Trust me brother, I don't blade!"
Why wouldn't we believe him? He's the Great American Champion. The man that, publicly lusted after his teenage daughter (go look it up, it's gross), and said the N-word to numerous black wrestlers. And even used his popularity to screw other wrestlers over.
@@SirDisticDo you have any evidence that Hogan used the n word to multiple black wrestlers?
@@SirDistic Hogan not raciest .
goldberg and lesnar just lashing out on the crowd is hilarious
Beetle juice low blowing double JJ was so funny because the first shot actually connected with jarret
2:59 bro that scream 💀
if the ladders are of wood, what makes the steely noise when someone falls on it?
Exactly, this makes no sense. The ladders are gimmicked so they break easily. But they're not usually wooden.
That is fake background sound
@@marlondaniels7912I remember seeing in another video that the ladders are actually both. I believe they are aluminum with a wooden segment painted to match the rest of the ladder, which acts as the breaking point. You can actually see the painted break point at 4:19 if you pause
I can forgive Crash Pads, No one reacts well to landing on concrete from a elevated position
They accidently used a normal lock on mark henrys one instead of a fake one but he still snapped it anyway cuz hes a monster.
Miz reading that phone number from his wrist is so much in character for early Miz, I wouldn't have been surprised if somebody added that intentionally.
Anything happens
Vince: *CALL IN THE HAIRDRYER!*
5:30
I love how edge leave the frame cause he knew he can't contain his laugh..
Holy moly
Kids these days are gonna find this video and never wanna watch wrestling again 😂 cause they gonna say “mommy I thought wrestling was real?” I used to be one of those kids but I’m older now and I realize a lot of this is legitimately fake but I’m still watching and enjoying pro wrestling 29 years later 👊🏽
True😂😂😂 I'm 27 and still watching this 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've always hated the hairdryer pop & piped in crowd noise.
One time on WCW, it was either Duggan or maybe even Sandman. Someone charges into the ring with a large piece of wood, and they start swinging it around to clear the ring. Someone who was being swung at grabbed the wood and caught it, which quickly showed the "wood board" was closer to a nerf like material.
5:20 Depending on who's telling the story, either it was a gimmick pipe and Arn may have accidentally hit Nash too hard, or it was closer to a real pipe and Arn gave Nash the kind of receipt that got Nash to drop faster than he's ever moved in the ring before.
11:51 to be fair to Bischoff and Sting, Hardy showed up for the PPV either drunk or high or both. Either way he was in no condition to be in a ring, so they had to scramble to salvage the situation.
I remember when Duggan swung his 2x4 at someone, it bent, and stayed bent. Seemed like it was hard foam, and yes, it was WCW.
I remember watching Heenan scream at Pillman. After he left the announce table, Heenan came back, put on his headset and apologized for cursing. You could tell from his voice that he was nervous and wanted to make things right with the bosses. As for the kickouts, a wrestler should know the ref's timing. Also, I had a theory that if the right leg was hooked, it wouldn't be a kickout. If the left leg was hooked, there'd be a kickout.
Can't believe Randy and Kofi wasn't in the angry section😅. Still a great compilation
I cant unhear the "hairdryer" sound now...
Triple H’s sledgehammer used to be fake, but it broke once and hurt someone so now he uses a real one, and always covers it with his hand instead. That way, no mistakes can happen.
Eyes opened...
Which means DAY-DREAMING after KOs.... Hahaha 🤣🤭
7:13 Lol Cena saying WWE use fake crowd noises for Theory when Cena had the same thing
He said during matches
How would Cena use fake crowd noises? It's the company not the employee.
The fact that Rollins swallowed a capsule is just scary🙄🙄😲😲😲
i remember watching Rock vs Austin WM X7 for the first time when both men bleed like hell, didnt notice that they were blading at first, but after i watched again many times now i can tell when they were blading..
@ 4:35 you can see where the ladder was compromised and painted over so it would break easily.
I’ve noticed that more wrestlers have made a conscious effort to keep their eyes closed
I wonder how many blade scars are on their foreheads.😂
someone has died due to over blading aswell
5:14 is what you came for.
I can't unhear all the "crowd" noises as a hairdryer now!
4:57 AlLiMiNyUm 😂😂😂
ty for the amazing videos and ideas
Flashback in the mid March of 2023😊
4:18 When The Big Show goes through the ladder because he is so big
The big show ladder is still funny to me just like the Rey falling
Holy crap, the Piped in crowd noise really is the same every time, now that I hear it back to back. Pretty sure I won't be able to unhear it
you mean bray really didn’t get really burned? no way
10:25 with Kurt Angle is very disturbing. That crack is something I've heard on videos where it wasn't staged, and it never ends well.
It was a dummy they threw off and Kurt went there and laid down
i remember seeing that live as a kid, i legit thought angle was dead. the thudding sound sounded so real.
@@kreizeeboi Same, I remember watching that as a kid too and I cried thinking that Big Show really killed Kurt even though I didn't even like Kurt at the time as a kid
I still think it's funny how my mum thinks wrestling is 100% fake. She doesn't even believe in the Blading either. Like, everyone knows about it.
7:17 the hair dryer is crazy 😂
“That’s because,they don’t know the secrets”,snarky OOC
One could argue that they keep their eyes open and watch the count to kick out at the last second so they can literally use every second to take a breath. 😂
I remember Big Show using the steps and getting hit with a kendo stick and his face hit the steps slicing a gash over his eye.
Yea, he fumbled over the steps. It was a mess lol
Great video
10:18 I remember when I saw this live when I was a kid, I legit thought Kurt Angle just got killed
11:09 Heenan was pissed 😂😂😂
Gotta say Hogan was something of an artist when he was blading. It could be interpreted as him just wiping the sweat from his brow, compare that to the worst examples today (moxley, cough) and its night and day
I thought mark Henry broke the real chain
Yeah he did.
The hair dryer pop that's funny. I've never noticed it but wow it does sound like a hair dryer lol
Love how you say aluminum my guy🤣🤣
When I got the notification I immediately clicked on it😉
11:05 Bobby Hennan just came back from a serious neck surgerie and didn't want anyone to even touch him.
So he got mad when he got grabbed.
I hate when I’m watching after such a big move the one being pinned so clearly staring at the ref. I be like damn cause it ruins it. Wish I never noticed
If they stopped trying to kick out at 2.99 every time they wouldn't need to look at the ref. It's not like people don't know by now what's a finish and what's not.
I’ve know the eyes open / closed method for years. it ruins matches forever 😞 😞 😞
I think it just ruined matches for me 😔
Yup when see it u know it's over
1:24 - 1:27 Cena's gonna do it Cena's gonna do it Cena with the cover🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Great video by the way
There have been some wrestlers who have had their eyes open (probably concussion?) without kicking out.
The hairdryer pop 😂😂😂
So funny to watch These 😁🤣🤣😁
8:33 legends say that that pop is also piped in fake crowd noise 😂🤣🤣🤣
Ladders are only spraypainted wood sometimes. They're usually plastic now in major promotions, but indie promotions usually use real metal ones.
Yeah, that Sting vs Jeff Hardy was crazy. Jeff was so fucked up (drugs and alcohol) that he couldn't even compete. They had this whole match planned, and Jeff fucked it all up, and they decided to just can it. Quick match, less than a minute.
I been noticed it was a sign that a wrestler is going to kick out by having their eyes open to watch the pin and when they’re going to lose due to their eyes being closed from The Rock being a dead giveaway
Good stuff
Nah the hair dryer one surprised me lol
I knew the weapons were gimmicked, but larning of what they're made exactly was very informative
the hair dryer one actually caught me off guard 💀
I've heard the "SmackDown hair dryer" crack before but never actually picked it apart until now.
Landing on a wooden ladder doesn't sound like fun either lol
Oh Buddy, Shawn Michaels would have died in the ring that night kicking me in my head like that.
The Undertaker visibly blades Maven at Royal Rumble 02 and the camera shows him put it in his pocket after he hit him with the chair
Nah them using a hair dryer sound is funny af
Piped in crowd noises are predominantly used till this very day in over 50% percent of the matches and talent entrance
Went to a couple AEW shows at the Cow Palace last month and then watched the matches on TV. Absolutely they piped in crowd noise for TV.
to think i was so sad when khali crushed mysterious head
I love your videos
Marty Janetty was the stand in for taker by the way
Sting wasnt angry at Jeff, he even says that in an interview. He was disappointed like a father at him
5:35 lol man hilarious
My childhood was a lie😢
The eyes open has always killed me. Either close your eyes or change the camera angle
Nice work here, no pun intended.
3:40 Im sorry they used a WHAT
I bet mankind never needed a capsule for mouth blood lol
The chrome painted wooden ladders are very convincing had it not been for this video I would never have known.
Also, the "hair dryer" pop is ingenious. Not knowing about it and then finding out and listening to it closely it 100% sonds like what it is meant to imitate.
I believe they are actually aluminum with a wooden break point, not fully wood. At 4:19 you can see a painted, lighter gray spot in the middle of the ladder where it ends up snapping.
The way orton hit the cell after blading seems so cartoonish
