Dolph's "COUNT!"... "or don't..." was absolutely hilarious
That obviousness can actually blend into his wise-@$$ character personality
@@crazyman7671 I like that some flaws on wrestlers can accidentally make their characters more believable.
That count wasn't a spot call that was just Dolph Ziggler playing his character
plus him telling people to pose for the camera or stay down longer all for show boating still in character xD
Was that not in character? Because it works in-character too, like he was complaining that the ref was too slow to count
Seeing and hearing them call spots in the ring actually makes me happy idk why
They look after each other and it is making me happy too
@@viktoriaprivarics6335 even if it’s supposed to be real it still shows how professional they all are I wonder how the fans feel when they realize they rehearse their moves and spots with each other prior to the show and read scripts
@@dasiareed2708 as a fan whose seen them rehearse i feel better knowing that they keep the injuries at a minimum
@@dasiareed2708 lol it isnt supposed to be real, the audience knows it's scripted.
@@joenoonan4857 I know that duh
I like that most of Paige's calls were to ensure safety.
That's what I noticed.
@@zaynes5094 One thing that have always admired about Paige is how good and safe of a wrestler she is. SHE GETS IT
@@robertpalatsky5017 Oh, definitely. I actually always liked Asuka as well, I liked her looks and I liked her in-ring showmanship. Her ability to not have to say anything really, but to be able to still do what she does and the limited amounts of accidents that have happened in matches she was in is actually a high number.
Agreed. And you can't not talk in the ring due to safety!
A true in ring vet
I love how at 8:45 cena yells push me off and the referee thinks he’s talking to him and tries to push him away😂😂😂
imagine if the ref thought he told him to do the german suplex after!
😂😅
People think this shit is easy, it’s really not, the work, dedication, chemistry you need for this is unreal. Low-key love the communication they look out for each other to deliver the best shows.
Who in their right mind thinks this is easy? They're basically all stuntmen who have to perform potentially dangerous maneuvers in one take with no safety equipment.
Agreed, there have been wrestlers who legitimately died and the result was an entire change to how they would wrestle moving forward.
Shawn getting mad at all the ladders being 10ft was just funny 😂
6:00 “COUNT! Or don’t.” 😂😂😂😂
Hard camera from michaels to Khali was dope
I've always liked seeing/hearing the guys communicating in the ring for some reason especially asking if the other is OK. It shows a camaraderie amongst the guys. Maybe that's why I like it.
It's so heart warming to see that most of these folks are so dedicated and caring athlets, making sure they give their best and still protect their partners in ring.
People say Cena can’t wrestle but he was directing traffic every time
Yelling every single spot isn't a good thing. Completely takes you out of the match.
@@EnclosedPoolAreaMost of the time he did that because other wrestlers forgot what they have to do!
@@dreamingsymphony no its becuase he is an ego maniac. Hes hurt TONS of people from bad bumps in his career.
@@sariahreigns3666 excuse me, what?!
@@dreamingsymphony cena throughout his career has hurt alot of people in ring. He botches moves on the regular.
John Cena forgot that we can hear him because he's so used to we can't see him.
Having the honor to call out spots really means that both the company and co-workers respect and trust you. A lot of people, for example, say that Big Show can't wrestle, but seeing him first being called on the spots, and then, after many years, him conducting the band just makes me happy. Love that guy, super underrated talent.
Cena & dolph stayed busy bc they communicated and were safe to wrestle with
Triple H’s “SIDESLAM” always takes me out lmao
Ryback: *Taking care of CM Punk*
CM Punk: Ryback was an unsafe worker.
Sure he was Punk. Sure he was
punk's attitude always kinda struck to me. i was thinking if all this shit that got on cm punk maybe wasn't any other ones fault and I guess now it's clear that punk was the asshole all along
Unsafe is not the same as unapologetic. Ryback hurt people way more often than he should've. Just because he didn't intend to hurt Punk, doesn't mean he didn't actually hurt him through being careless.
@@blackbird351 This kinda sounds like the scene that booted Mr. Kennedy out of the company.
He actually was he even hurt John Cena and Daniel Bryan
An aew/elite fanboy I can see
Lindybeige did a video where he proposed that the reason gladiators wore such face covering helmets was so that they could "hide their cheating." That is to say, he suspected that what they were actually doing was shot calling each other, in order to sell the matches better. When I see things like this, it really hammers on how Professional Wrestling is the modern day Gladiatorial Sport.
I think the take away is that gladiators may have been pro wrestlers
Its amazing how they can remember all moves from train to perform into the show.
7:16 minutes every time I hear hhh say 'sideslam' it gets me every time 😂😂😂
Big Show squashing Mark Henry and Kings reaction made it priceless
I love this because it showcases what goes into keep each other safe.
Imagine if Owen (RIP) warned Steve about the piledriver.
He did beforehand
He didn't cause he legit wanted to hurt Steve because even bret says how he had to tell Owen he should check on Steve which he didn't
Good God Cena calling spots were a deaf person in the cheap seats could hear em what a legend lmfao
Owen did the wrong piledriver. In the position Steve was in, Owen should have done a tombstone.
Austin was aware of the upcoming pile-driver and was trying to reposition himself when he slipped too low but it was too late. You could see the genuine concern from Owen afterwards
Nobody:
HHH: SIDESLAM!!!
GET UP, PAUL. GET UP
@@crazyman7671 the first part was believable with the Get up Paul GET UP cuz he was selling he was pissed. But the second part was bad. it was bad though mainly because the commentator wasnt talking.
@@sariahreigns3666 i'd like to think he shouted that out bc he was still pissed
Good guy Dolph being his opponents' hypeman during his matches.
Everyone heard "slow the fuck down" from Brock to Braun except maybe Braun cuz he got dazed. 😂🤣
Seeing this part of the process makes me love it more. Improvisation and communication, awesome!
This just made me like HHH even more lol. He is great at calling spots on the fly wow. As a kid I NEVER appreciated HHH for some reason but after I stopped watching around 07-08 and then coming back into everything mid 2010s, Ive realized how silly I was not to appreciate the guy. I think he's also one of the best/most underrated seller ever.
6:00 perfection
I kinda prefer the Triple H style. With the benefit of hindsight, there's only so much you can plan out a night or two in advance. Improv should be the name of the game, lest you suffer the stagnation of the Vince regime again.
I dunno man, I think there's a balance to strike somewhere in the middle. Before the era of planning, two guys saying "we'll call it in the ring" just meant "we'll do as little as possible."
Triple H style is much better. The match would have punches, kicks and moves that have actual meaning and continuation. Most matches of the PG era are heavily scripted and completely suck.
Michaels yelling move at vader was hilarious.
HHH: Throw me again on the fence.
I died. hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
I think that these callings are great to see, regardless these are both professional athletes and actors at the same time and these spot callings are great honestly.
Cena: Shinsuke, now!
Shinsuke: 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
Your best work...."Don't get cocky!"
Asuka was always a favorite of mine to watch at random and I like her because she doesn't say too much, and she just says enough about what she's going to do or what she wants them to do, but she doesn't say a lot.
Becky has called her out backstage to be more vocal on high spots (or the 'big finish' spots towards the end of matches), but again, I think it's just her own and maybe that's a part of Japan's pro wrestling style where they don't talk a lot in the match, but they indirectly communicate with body language and their hand signals seem to be high up there in communication because I have seen that happen in Japan's pro wrestling where they don't talk a lot, but they do communicate with hand signs and little motions with their arms that are hard to find unless you're looking for it.
It's not a secret communication when Cena does it cos the people in the upper deck can hear him calling spots
Rather be heard than hurt...That's what I thought Cena was going to say
How Ryback still hurt people even though he called the spots.
same way cena has?
I’d be a terrible wrestler, I’m one of those guys that are too quiet or too loud. My opponent wouldn’t be able to hear me then I’d raise my voice causing the fans to hear me
Gotta say on Shawn's behalf with the cameramen, he's got a point. if they're in the way while the wrestlers are outside the ring, they're putting both themselves and the wrestlers in danger
to be fair at that time shawn was being treated like absolute garbage back stage. him deisel triple H razor ramon and 123kid were all seen outside breaking kfab. undertaker and the harts REALLY hated him for that. so shawn was forced to get dressed out side the locker room for a long time.
@@sariahreigns3666 That’s not anything I’ve ever heard. I have heard he was part of the Klik that was essentially directing matches backstage with their star power in order to favor themselves, inviting HHH in once he joined WWE. That’s why Hart thinks Shawn was in on the screw job, even though there’s 0 evidence as such.
You are the same person who claimed Cena injured tons of folks, then couldn’t name one. You seem to spout stuff you know nothing about, or you are a troll, or both.
@@BlakeAustin2011 have you read that DX biography from like 20 years ago? its explained how shawn was treated for breaking kfab by being friends with HHH and 123 kid.
@@BlakeAustin2011 and on your other comment sooo cena didnt drop the rock directly on his shoulder almost costing him the role in that hercules movie?
Honestly, I don't mind. It feels like watching the match as a behind-the-scene. I find it quite fun.
As I get older I appreciate stuff like this more. Younger, it was cool to think wwe is real. Nowadays I appreciate the work that goes into the matches.
It's a safe way to wrestle so that way people know what they're doing if they didn't call the matches and people would know what to do and the crowd be booing the match
I've been front row ar a live event, and yes you can hear them calling plays
I absolutely enjoy your videos
Taker not being on this list is impressive with all the years he's been in the wwe for
Cause he stays in character, he did that all the time for 30 years
Taker knows all his spots
CZcamsrs be really destroying the wrestling business
Nah that's AEW
@@eurynomeiposdraven3321 i don't get either, how CZcamsrs are destroying the business, and how AEW is destroying the business. In fact, i don't even know why you marks THINK the business is 'destroyed'.
Its not like we dont know its scripted...

They way they all look after each other would make it a blessing to work for the WWE
This was awesome to watch
"Shinsuke now!"
The last one"jump on my back "was really 😂❤
Thats a great video
From this video its super obvious when some of these callouts happen but watching live I NEVER heard anything like this. Which is crazy.
I don’t watch wrestling. But I have so much respect for these men & women. The amount of practice / skill required to call a match in the ring, (even if the audience can hear a spot from time to time) is unbelievable.
Why is this vid so fun to watch haha
I love to see how vocal ryback was and asked cm punk if he was okay after the table spot yet cm always tries to find a way to put him in bad spotlight
HBK helping Khali facing the hard cam to get him over and Brock telling Drew to pick the WWE Title to certify Drew is two great examples of vets helping other stars and the one of the best things ever
Big Show: Watch the ropes, I'm against the ropes!
Also Big Show: Fully reaching for the rope and still like a foot away
Cena's nasty landing
In all fairness to John, Shinsuke missed his cue in the rumble and left him and Roman standing there awkwardly
You could say: THESE are professionals!!! They know when, they know what! And they know their opponents! It's nice to see the "tricks" of Wrestling, but u have to understand what could happen if they don't communicate with each other...
I guarantee almost nobody watching the presentation being displayed at the time caught wind of these aspects of it on display. What next, the startling revelation of those blokes who scuttle around on a theatre stage and move props around to set the scene for the players?
yup i never found out till like 4 or 5 years ago i just thought they were saying insults and the like
Knowing that it makes them safer is more important than the illusion of wrestling being real imo. Most of these could be easily perceived as background noise anyway.
Good video
Spot calling being heard isn’t a sin anymore! So wrestlers don’t choreograph the match backstage anymore they call it on the fly! It’s live theatre and we all know it so they don’t worry about exposing the “work” as much as they once had to!!!
Honestly Triple H calling spots to Big Show around that time was weird to see and still is since kayfabe was intact and people thought the shit was for real real
I remember Kevin Nash yelling out "SIDESLAM" during a huge multi wrestler brawl at the end of a WCW event. As a kid I always knew wrestling was scripted, but I was much more able to suspend my disbelief until that moment lol.
Actors & Entertainers ...... but still fun to watch !! 😉👌
Absolutely nothing wrong with this. If you’re a true wrestling fan you’ll have no problem embracing this as part of the sport. It promotes safety and makes for a more entertaining experience, in almost every sport people communicate.
For me it makes it even more amazing.
Pose that way! Hard camera lol!!
Dang same with basically every WWE fan in the world, I've been aware/heard all the Dolph/HBK comparisons a thousand times and I obv see it in their style and everything but I noticed that even in this area of the sq circle they are the same haha. HBK told Khali to do his pose and where and then Dolph did the same thing for Corbin lolol. Good guys helping their coworkers get over, gotta love it
Idk why but the “grab the belt” sounded cool
It's very rare for me to hear them, even when I watch with earphones on. Sometimes it happens. I heard Sasha loud and clear once asking Charlotte if she was ready to do a third rope suplex.
It is better you get heard than botching moves and have an ugly match due to lack of communication.
Just shows how good they are it’s all about working together I like it
Lol yea but do it secretly
@@ch33zybreadtrellie4 lmao
Wredtlers secretly calling spots?
Andre: HOGAN, SLAM!
LOL
A lot of respect for them.
why is this so wholesome
Does anybody have a link to the show where Cena talked about how he'd rather be heard?
Some say this kills a bit of the magic, but I love to see the focus on safety tbh
3:39 that wasn't brock but one of the wwe workers heck could have maybe been a fan and that the belt was planned anyways.
Yea didn't sound like him at all
You can literally watch his mouth move saying it perfectly.
@@C_de_jupons Then, Rainbow hater, watch his mouth say it.
@@LinKueiDragon alright maybe your right but it was just that that doesn't sound like brock at all.
What I learnt is that Cena loves receiving blows on the back.
Weirdly I don't pick up on wrestlers calling spots during matches. Only after it's pointed out do I notice it.
That said it's fairly obvious when they're setting things up during stuff like rest holds or passing info through the ref. If their heads are near each other for some reason it's almost a guarantee they're setting up the next sequence.
You'd think Cena was calling out lunch orders as loud as he is
My favorite is from the triple h stone cold match featured here (the stunner closeline clip) At the end of the first fall (it was a 2 out of 3 falls match) Triple h lost to a stunner and the announcer forgets to announce Austin as the winner of the first fall. Triple h (who is supposed to be unconscious from the stunner he just took) yells about “ANNOUNCEMENT” twice then proceeds to say to the ref something along of “tell the announcer to do his fking job” before the announcement is finally made. Absolute gold.
Lowkey telling someone saying “slap me” is exactly what’s said 90% of the time seconds before someone’s slapped
would be interesting if they all just had small speakers in their ears and had someone calling all the shots to them both so they were in perfect sync
Why do wrestling "fans" lose sleep over wrestling so much?
Heard cena calling sleeper in his match against Theory on WM Saturday
Like loud and clear😅
This just shows that Professional Wrestling is one of the most difficult sports to compete in. Even if it's scripted, this would probably be harder than football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Although any sport can be hard to compete in, however, I think pro-wrestling is probably one of the most difficult.
i like hearing it sometimes haha
I fucking love this stuff. Pro wrestling is such an amazing art. And most people have no idea how its done.
I was such a fan I never heard anyone call spots. My life is a lie 😞 lol
My whole childhood was a lie.
But was it a good childhood?
People talk about john cena calling spots too loud what about hhh yelling at big show to get up and then yelling at him again for a sideslam
good they actually call them instead of fuckin up and injure their (opponent)
Big show and Triple H wrestling: "Come on Paul!"
With the short time of any carrier and retire with a broken body but your head helt high sure you wanna call the spots for your and your co workers safety and to live to tell the History
Dolph always annoyed me but I think he always deserve a longer title run
Seems like for the most part the bigger fellas who have deeper voices have a harder time masking there spot calls
never forget that they are actually wrestling in a crowded arena and they can't whisper 🤣
