I use apres natural tips and love them for press ons. I used to do gel-x but completely stopped after making myself press ons. They are definitely worth it, you’re gonna love them!

You are truly amazing 💜 also, knock on wood, but I haven’t had any issues with the Makartt rhinestone glue, and I am the queen of smacking my hands against things 😅 but I’m definitely generous with it whenever I use it. I use makartt and the method I swear by is place your rhinestone glue then top coat without setting any stones/charms in it or putting in the lamp. Now add your bling and then set in the lamp I found this way to work wonders! (I hope I made sense lol)

Omggggg girl I just recently switched to Apres too for the same reason. Ok, so when yours comes in I’m going to see what you think about them as well. I’ll be making some sets with them this week but I can tell you the first thing I noticed was the strength, thickness and superior quality.
Just to mention if I’m not mistaken the XL on up only comes in sculpted and for press ons I think the natural is better. What I’ve done is bought a popular 3XL brand on Amazon cut them down to for an XL, 2XL, etc size and attach tips if need be for any other shape besides square.

I can say one of my top struggle with nails is rhinestones adhering. My charms/rhinestones also sometimes pop off with both makartt gel glued u mentioned.

I was gonna only use apres as well but they don’t have longer lengths. What I realized is a lot of brands don’t so I need to figure out something for that

omg i’ve also been wanting to switch to apres from my amazon tips hehe i saw they have those bundles so you can get them at a discounted price! you can get like 3-4 boxes for like $99 i think so i think it’s a steal for quality tips! and then we can also order refills for tips we only need and not hv to buy more boxes 😂

Makartt works well for me. But I prefer Zulay’s bling adhesive. You can use her adhesive activator to dry the glue quicker. Or she has a cluster gel as well similar to makartts gel glue.
ON THE GLUE QUESTION;
I LIKE USING LGN PRO RHINESTONE GLUE. I FREL LIKE ZULAY'S BLING ADHESIVE IS EFFECTIVE, BUT LEAVES THE WHITE CRUST AND ALSO SEEMS TO DIM THE SHINE OF MY PRECIOSA/SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL RHINESTONES. I LIKE USING ZULAY'S FOR BIGGER CHARMS AND THAT THE SPARKLIER ONE'S ISN'T GONNA BE EFFECTED BY THE GLUE, ALSO HER CLUSTER WORKS WELL, BUT LEAVES A STICKY LAYER AFTERWARDS.
LGN PRO RHINESTONES GLUE WORKS GREAT, AND DOESN'T LEAVE BEHIND A TACKY LAYER. CUZ I USUALLY TOP COAT MY NAILS B4 BLING AND ACCESSORIES. THE ONLY FLAW, IS THAT U MUST USE A GENEROUS AMOUNT AND DONT LEAVE THE LID OPEN UNDER LED LIGHTS. IT SEMI CURES AND I WAISTED A WHOLE BOTTLE ONCE. LOL.
I LIKE MAKARTT BUT MY GEMS ALWAYS FALL OFF NOST OF THE TIME, BUT BY MAKARTT I JUST LOOOOVE THE SOLID NAIL GLUE GEL FOR CLUSTER BLING AND LARGE CHARMS. (MOSTLY I USE IT FOR CLUSTERS).

Hi! I’d love to know what you use on your display for the nail tips to stick to it ?
I was just wondering if you have considered making the full cover tips yourself. Kirsty Meakin makes a a product called fantasy nail forms that can be re used infinity to make nail stuffs. Before such things existed I have ran out of things and made my own using a both tips and full covers with acrylic, gel and hybrid gel. Just a weird random thought I had that could either stop your frustration with inconsistent sizes or if you found it easy solve a problem. I haven’t been a nail tech since 1996 and only do my own nails now but I didn’t find it difficult. You are a very talented person btw

I tried the makartt rhinestone glue and it didn't work for me but I really like the beetles rhinestone glue and it's good for 3d art too!

I have a question, I’m interested in getting into gel polishes and press ons for myself only but I’m worried about potentially getting an acrylate allergy… I’m set on some polish brands I want to use (mostly Korean ones that don’t sell their own lamps), but am lost with lamps. Would you be willing to share what lamp you use to cure your press ons?

Makartt rhinestone gel works for me, but I also top coat over my rhinestones because it doesn't bother me.
maybe i'm wrong?? but i thought you had tried out some nailzbydev full cover tips and really liked the size variety of those. do you have an update on that or did you change your mind? again i might be wrong in thinking that but i could have sworn you mentioned those previously.

BUT I do think im going to stick with nailzbydev for all of my extra long square tips 🎉🥳 because apres extra long are sculpted and nailzbydev arent 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 which is way better for press ons 💕
I think those resin butterflies with those kinda protruding wings really get different type of pressure and stress on them due to their shape so at least those might pop off more easy. I know they are really popular right now, but personally I have not ordered them cause I don't trust the shape lol

You’re absolutely right! I have a love hate relationship with those! They get caught on EVERYTHING and they end up getting yanked off in 3-5 days. But they’re so cute it’s almost worth it? lol
This might be a dumb question but how do you clean the gel polish off your thin brush?
I love apres but I have to say I have a hard time with adherence with how sculpted they are. Especially for those with flat beds.
I have a question 🙋🏽♀️ how do you make sure that the cuticle part of the nail isn’t too thick? When I make my own press ons I find that if I layer too much the cuticle area is super thick, and when I apply to my nails it looks so unnatural and like a press on. Any way to prevent this?

Hii Yes ! Sorry I didnt mention that but once you draw your design you cure it fully then wipe it off after to reveal the design 🥰
