Beautifully worded love. ❤ You have explained so eloquently how I feel. Im a pretty good artist, but the thought of doing anything monetary with my work was exhausting. I would literally talk myself out of it before I even started. My mental health stole my teens and then my physical health started to steal my 20s, which robbed me of even tryibg to enjoy life. Now at 34, ive decided to judt go for it and Ive got Val to thank for thst s good bit. TYSM for posting you wonderful humans❤.

Me too I’m 14! I’m doing it in Algeria though because I couldn’t find any nice nail salons or press on nail places so I decided to do it myself
omg I feel ya, any job is stressful but painting people's nails in person can be so overwhelming and I'm also an emotional person. I want to one day make a press on nails business bc I heard it's less overwhelming. And thank you for the video, it motivates to pursue my dream.

I’ve recently gotten into gel-x nails cause I looooove having my nails done and i’ve started watching your videos to get inspo for my own sets. Felt that!!! Waiting to get one of my twins tested and also have a 5 month old. I want a better life for them so figured to do press on nails but I’m scared to start… I hand paint characters also I been doing acrylic 3 months ❤❤ WE GOT THIS MAMA BEAR !
You go mama! I’m in the same boat. My 6 yo is autistic and I couldn’t find childcare for her over the summer because we didn’t have any programs that were willing to take her. I had to take a lower paying job to work from home but then I feel like I’m letting technology babysit her while working 8 hours just for it not to be able to cover my bills. Doing press ons would give me a little more freedom with time and hopefully financially as well. You can do it!
Thank you for being so transparent you’re videos have helped me a lot working on my own nails and I do have issues of comparing myself ( being a complete beginner) to the pros and I do get discouraged but i know i enjoy doing nails so I just keep doing it! You’re nails are amazing 💕💅🏽💫
I just started watching your videos after my epiphany of my long-standing love for doing nails, wanting to make some kind of earning but don't want to work on live hands. Your vids are great. you've got yourself set up and even help us find the materials. Very useful information. Thank you. This is the best thing, and I'm happy to see there's a good amount of success that can be achieved. Even if I don't take off, it's a passion anyway that my little cousins would love in their gift bags on holidays.

The sole reason I clicked was because I'm looking into doing this for the same exact reasons!! I'm amazing at being able to do tiny art, I can literally draw my cats face onto my thumb nail, I have a talent to be able to paint anything I can see and very tiny BUTTTTT .... I struggle terribly with social anxiety and therefore when trying to do this on family and friends I become overwhelmed and it takes me hours to just do a simple design. I think you and I are not nail techs, we are artist!! The fact that you didn't give up on your talent even though you couldn't do it the way that it's typically done, is so incredibly inspiring to me, you quite literally found a way to still reach for ur dreams and didn't let anything stop you. I'm so glad that you were kinder to yourself than others were. And the fact that you are so young is again just so inspiring to young girls. With that said ur talent is just stunning!!! The fact that your nails can both be flashy and elegant at the same time it's just something you don't see very often. You are able to tie class into every design. One of your designs could be both for a night at the club or an afternoon at a PTO meeting, it's honestly rare to see. Thank you for sharing your tips with others but mostly thank you for sharing yourself with us 😊

I started doing my own nails two years ago and I was awful. I use polygel. I don’t work with acrylic at all. I have a lot to learn. I would love to do this for a living. I have issues being consistent. And pricing. I know im "newer" to this. I've had my nail page and been doing press ons since 2020 but didn't stay consistent. But I also have the high quality nail tips, the gels the brushes so I need help factoring cost so I'm not cheating out on myself.

I did want to ask would you be able to do a nail tip video? I have the worst time finding nails with wide nail beds, thumbs specifically. I wanted my focus to be on wider fingers since I have the hardest time finding it my self, I got some enailcouture and the thumbs are just a bit short on my nailbed, after curing shrink is too real, what would you recommend?

I appreciate all your videos. You’ve become a daily part of my routine as I am starting my press on business. I have found that doing press ons is what I’m most comfortable with as I love nail art but have anxiety when I do it on people in person so thank you SO MUCH for all these in depth videos. I was wondering how you size for you clients ? That’s the one thing I’m nervous about before opening shop. Also do you suggest to start off with a made to order transaction or have a couple of designs ready to sell first ?

Im @ 9 minutes, almost in tears. So happy i see this vid, about your anxiety and the 5 houres you need for a set on client 😪 i am scared to do nails just for the same reason. I have my certificate since 15 years. Did so much perfection workshops, but all for nothing bc i am to scared because it takes sometimes so long on clients, like last week 4 houres. I was so ashamed. Its my dream to be a nail tech, but i am to scared of the time, and the end result

So in the beginning for you, the nails that u was designing, u was just keeping right? For instance u say to post every day, and I do, but like I'm just starting my business so I'm making press ons, usually just like 1 hand so I can post them to social media and my website and I do some ready to ship sets too, but like the nails that I do 5 of, I just keep them. Is that what u did in the beginning too when u was waiting for ur business to grow?

Using Matt topcoat makes it easier to do nail art use it first on the whole nail to draw and then just regular gel top coat and then cure

So I just want a few make a few sets for myself on the side. I’m retired already and I don’t want to business and all of that. So I just want to make a few emergency sets and put them aside for when I don’t have time to do my nails or something important or last minute comes up. I can just pop on some nails.
So my first question is, what type of tips are you using here? Are they acrylic tips or are they gel tips and does it matter?
In question number two, why do my tips shrink when I’m finished with my product and they no longer fit? Should I start out with wider tips?
