Come up from Melbourne to watch the mighty Swannies, at 3/4 time I thought I’d wasted my money… then along came Nick Davis. What a quarter, what a game!

I just love the expression on every face in the crowd. So heartwarming to see the joy, especially in the older ones who had not seen them win a premiership in their lives! Amazing

I don't barrack for Sydney but they produced 2 super special efforts in 2005 - fighting out games to the final siren. The individual efforts of Nick Davis in the semi final, and Leo Barry's mark in the grand final.. still gives me goosebumps!!!!

Taking nothing away from Swannies gutsy effort as per usual and Nick Davis absolute stunning performance, Cats kicked themselves out of this one due to few costly errors especially Stevie J's slack effort to prevent ball getting back into the play. Saying that, Swannies have been Cats biatches in recent years.

The good thing about all of that is the Umpires did the right thing, put the whistle away and let them play footy. And only stopped it when it was obvious they had to. Good work.

It inspired them to a premiership. And poor old Geelong had a miserable 2006 season because of this loss. It took Geelong 2 years to recover but it has taken many other sides like Adelaide, Collingwood and the Bulldogs much longer to recover.

Lol, only 7 countries refer to it as 'soccer', out of 200+ - and in those 7 countries, a lot of people still call it 'football'.
I actually won the argument, come back when Aussie rules is as big as the sport that is 'sokkah'. Nice try though, cry baby!
I'll have to wait a long time until you can come back and compare sports though, but when it does (in your imagination), you can finally start a decent argument. Aussie rules does not come close to the world game, it never will. Get over it.

lol Adelaide United are probably the most irrelevant sporting team in the world, to go along with the most irrelevant league in the world. dont care if you watch the premier league but its hilarious that you think soccer will ever succeed in australia. AFL will always be the biggest sport in Australia so of course it gets the media coverage duhhhhhhhhhhhhh
