Awesome production. Can't wait to show it to my elderly father who grew up on Paul Street Bondi Junction..
He is a Roosters all of life member, but sadly we now live in NZ, so, don't get to the league's club anymore.
    Easts to win.
    Up up the Roosters.

I've been a supporter since '75 & thought I knew a bit of Easts history but this documentary taught me more than I thought I'd learn & much more than I knew.

    Good day to you all.
I am from Manchester,England and my team is Swinton Lions.
Our club because unfortunately they don’t play in the town of Swinton and haven’t for 27 years are looking at an on field rebrand and calling themselves Manchester Lions, but like yourselves when you rebranded on the field keeping the official name Eastern Suburbs, and Swinton Lions Rugby League Club are going to do the same so officially and legally we will still be Swinton Lions RLFC,and for extra measure the words”EST 1866 SWINTON”will be at the bottom of the badge.
My question is when Eastern Suburbs decided to rebrand on the field as Sydney City Roosters and I know you now are Sydney Roosters how was that received by the fans?were the fans broadly in favour of the move or against it?And how have things been overall since the rebrand?
I hope someone sees this and replies as I will be very interested to find out more information on this.
    Yours in sport
    Rob

Robbiewa6451 fans do t really mind it, it would be very rare to find someone calling the team Sydney, most fans will either call them the roosters or easts to this day. They are still registered with the NRL to this day as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club. Some fans of rival clubs attempt to claim that the day we changed our name to Sydney City and then Sydney meant that we were a different team, but this is simply not the case. They are the only team in the NRL that has played in every first grade season since 1908.

    Greatest part not shown.
That turncoat Fittler losing the 2003 & 2004 grand finals as justice for leaving Penrith & stealing the Bulldogs premiership 2 years earlier.
