I am so sick and tired of people acting like men can't be victims of DV. Women are 1000% capable of being violent towards their partners, being abusive towards their partners, and the fact that people ignore that because of that toxic masculinity that people shove onto men when they're brought into this world is disgusting. One of my best friends, who is a man, told me about the kind of abuse he's experienced by several partners of his, most of them came from women. I had a partner who told me about his past abuse when he was a child. His own babysitter/young woman was the one who abused him and by the way one of the most disgusting, disturbing ways that i have ever heard.
When i looked at him i have seen an innocent soul who is suffering! I have seen a broken, betrayed child! I still tear up when i remember it.
I will never forget that and with that will never tolerate ANY kind of abuse towards ANY innocent being!
My husband's ex girlfriend hit him in the face with a frying pan which broke out all his front teeth, she took his cat and cut his balls off with scissors (thank God the vet fixed him up and you'd never know), she brought other men to his apartment and basically told him to get over it. He called the cops on her several times bc at that point they were no longer together and she had moved out (probably about 6-9 months earlier) She was never on the lease, never had mail come there etc. You'd think it would've been common sense that an ex who no longer lives there, breaks in, tortures you and your animals would be removed by the cops but every time they would say in so many words "well she got kicked outta her new bfs/parents house so she has nowhere to go, she's a girl so you'll be fine" and would force him to allow her in. But the incident with the cat was the straw that broke him. He grabbed her by both arms(while she still had the scissors) and literally picked her up and brought her outside and locked her out... well SHE called the cops this time and at first tried getting them to force him to allow her in again but when they saw what she had done they said no they can't force him. NOW THEY COULDN'T FORCE HIM. That's it, no arrest, no ticket, no nothing for basically trying to kill his cat. Then she filed a restraining order bc he had put his hands on her AND SHE GOT IT! Which he was thrilled with since he had been trying to get one against her to no avail. Yet still anytime someone hears this they laugh it off and joke about stereotypical crazy exes. If it was the other way around they would've never forced a female to allow an abusive ex boyfriend inside their home. It's so crazy to think people really think women cannot abuse or assault a man.

As someone who has actually been through domestic violence and had to take my abusive alcoholic father to jail and then court for choking me while trying to grab my things when he was kicking me out, the evidence is just outstanding. And the fact that she continues to tell the public that she was the victim is laughable. I would NEVER EVER talk to my abuser like that. If I were to raise my voice at my father and call him a baby and taunt him, I would be on the fucking ground. And that is why I would only AT MOST try to remind him that I did pay him back or that I was only helping my mom move and that I don't love her more or that I didn't do something that he says I did. And even when I did try to jog his memory, I had to keep my voice as calm as possible or I was going to be called every name in the book and degraded or physically abused. I feel so fucking disgusted to hear her talk as if she is a face of domestic violence survivors.

Sorry about what happened to you. My son and I were talking about the same thing. I can't imagine any woman or man that was being abused would say those things or instigate those fights knowing he is going to beat her up. That's crazy. Also she stated he wore his rings all the time. If he had hit her with those rings on she would have had a lot more damage to her face than she showed. Lots of cuts and more damage. She just needs to move on and leave him alone.

@@doubleinchbarbie My mom and therapists knew and nothing was ever done. He went to AA and still reverted afterwards. But he's sober now and doing great. It just sucks because he decided to sober up right before I left Hawaii to move with my boyfriend.

@@bigbean9480 It has nothing to do with her "English accent" in Spanish. As you correctly stated, that's completely OK. But cobbling sentences together a fluent speaker does not make! I'm sure she'd be the first to admit that she can understand and use Spanish functionally, but is not proficient. There's no shame in it. In fact, I think it's commendable that she can express herself SO WELL in her parents' language; most adults with similar academic and social upbringing cannot hold a candle to her skills. But calling her fluent is being too generous. For example, her grammatical accuracy is poor, and her utterance length is quite short, especially considering that she holds a doctorate degree. She could not defend a client in the stellar way she did with Mr. Depp if the entire court proceedings were conducted in Spanish. That's the difference between being fluent and not.
@@irairod5160 The clearest line between being fluent and not is how well you can actually speak the language itself. Obviously your accent and utterance length are ideal and strengthen your fluency but it’s not really the determining factor when deciding if someone is fluent. You mainly look at how well your grammar, pronunciation, and sentence forming is. Though she may not be ideally fluent in terms of HOW she speaks (accent and utterance) she is fluent in terms of WHAT she’s speaking (her actual Spanish). The only word she clearly messed up on was “Nieta” instead of “sobrina” but that seems to be a common mistake among American Spanish people according to what I heard lol. She could become more comfortable with her Spanish definitely but I wouldn’t go as far as to say she isn’t fluent at all.
