This is just awesome. Literally what you have done is simulating the natural process of chipping on the real paint fast forwarded.

Nice job! Which chipping medium did you use?

Thank you! You might not have heard of the brand but it's Zurc and it's made locally where I am. AK Interactive have their own too, the one I used works like AK's heavy chipping medium (I think).

@@tankhobbychannel6283 I appreciate the reply. I plan to try hairspray and the Vallejo chipping medium. No one seems to have the AK in stock in the U.S.

Those should work fine too, each product has their own characteristic on how they chip and also depends on the tool you use and how long you let it sit/dry before chipping. For the one I used, I just practiced several times just to see how thick I needed it to be and for how long I should wait for it to achieve the chipping I wanted. Good luck and have fun!

what brand of paints were you using sir? so you no longer need to topcoat before applying the chipping medium?

I used chipping medium without varnish with standard Vallejo acrylic with no issues
Of course there is always a higher chance to damage the base coat without varnish, but I didn't find it as a problem
