Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on CZcams yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Pretty! I wish the yarn companies would bring back all the gorgeous variegated yarns from the 1970s and 1980s!
Yes!!! There were some awesome yarns!
I wish you could pop through my yarn room. It seems all I have is variegated. I always forget to buy the natural solids. 😂
I’ve seen them at Joanne’s. Now they’re called “self-striping”, I guess.
Me too!!!
There are lots of yarns that have variegated colors.

@@ChrissieP106 It took me about 6 months, but I also didn't work it on it so often the last 3 months. I like having a constant project though!

@@HookedbyRobin I had made some scarves for some friends several years ago. One of them informed me that where he lived rats had got a hold of the scarf and had to be thrown out. I am making the scarf as a surprise to send since he had mentioned the previous one so much. This was a Godsend to come across.
Thanks for any sacrifices you make to do these videos. I loved seeing a gentleman tell how your channel had helped him with his anxiety. You are important. Be proud of what you put on here.
Ah no! But what a lovely surprise, he will love that. 😃

You’re welcome Angel, I hope you enjoy making it.😃
This is a great pattern I can do when I want to multitask a bit, since you don't have to worry about counting numbers of stitches, where to go is mapped out for you from the previous row really nicely.
I do love a "no-brainer" type of stitch - perfect for a little switch off time 🥰🧶
I love mindless crochet when watching my favorite TV shows or you tube video's
Love this one! I started crochet recently and this is so nice for practice if you would like a change from doing a complete row of half double crochet. This video is really clear. Thank you!

I love that yarn 🧶 what a beautiful variegation of sharing colors!
It is beautiful isn't it? 😍 Works so well for the scarf too! 😃
commenting for the algorithm so that more people can see this video-- super easy and pleasant stitch to do, well-explained by HBR, 11/10 video. My auntie always makes handmade crafts-- quilts, cushion covers, coasters, etc etc etc-- for everybody in our family, and I think it would be nice if she got a gift of her own for once. I'm just finishing up the tassels now and then it will be hers I think. thank you Robin!
That is so lovely Celeste, I hope she loves it.😃 Thank you for your kind feedback too.🥰
You use the prettiest yarns, Robin! And this looks so soft too. Thank you.
Awwwh thank you Lynne! It is really soft.😃🧶
Love this pattern!!! I have a lot of trouble with the beginning few rows and this was easier for me to get the hang of. I’ve now made 2 very long scarves using this stitch and about to start a third! It comes out beautifully!!!
Well done Amanda, sounds like you are on a roll now! 😃🧣
Recently bought a variegated yarn, can’t wait to give this scarf a try❤

Love the way you explain everything so slow and thoroughly !!!! Thanks !!!!
Thank you so much Connie! 🥰
I've not seen this stitch combination before. Its very pretty & I love HDC. I think I might try it in a blanket of Autumn colors. Thanks Robin for teaching this. I always love your tutorials, you're such a great teacher. I've learned so much from you & continue to learn beautiful projects. I'm a visual learner after a traumatic brain injury 6 years ago, so I appreciate your videos more than you know. Your explanations are wonderful & your visuals are so clear. Thank you!💜🤗
Hi Laura, a blanket in autumn colours would beautiful. Thank you so much for your kind words too, that is so appreciated.🤗🥰

It is super quick Lilia! 😃 I hope you enjoy making it.🧣x
I was so happy to find this easy to follow video for making a scarf. My son called me two days before Christmas to let me know he was bringing a guest to Christmas. She is an avid crocheter and does remarkable pieces. I wanted to be able to give her a gift, so I made this scarf. It took me a day and a half of pretty steady work. The scalloped edges is what makes it really pretty.
What a lovely present Catherine, I’m sure she will love it.😃 I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.🎄
Omgosh, I absolutely love the stitch you've used for this scarf. And the tassels are so easy, I had no idea! I'm finishing one and already started working on another today with a different color scheme. Thank you sooo much!
You're so welcome Neysha! 😃
Gorgeous stitch pattern! The resulting scarf looks so classy -- it could go dressy or casual. I love the muted colors yarn (reminds me of RH's "Unforgettable"). Equally as beautiful in the "Ocean" colorway -- with or without the cream colored stripe! Thank you for a VERY clear, understandable, and well-paced video! 🏆🙌 ❤️
Very true! I think it would go with any outfit like you said.😃. Thank you so much for your kind words on my video too, so happy you like it! 🧶
I love this pattern. Hdc is my favorite stitch to work. Simple patterns are the best. Thank you
