Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on CZcams yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Robin, I am a 65 yr old woman, and in my day, it was just something a girl, or young lady was taught to do. I've been crocheting for years now, but I must tell you. . . I have learned more in the past month, watching your videos, than I have my entire life! I have actually WANTED to crochet again~! lol. . Thank you for that! . . Needless to say, pretty much everyone will be getting hand made items for christmas this year! :)
This is the most wonderful comment and makes my job all worth while, thank you so much Lisa! 😃🥰
@@HookedbyRobin And THANK YOU! Robin! :)
Lisa Woods you have written exactly the words l was going to write, except l
have quite a few more years. Wish l had met Robin a long time ago. I now think crochet is faster than knitting. Still love both.
@@elizabethbuck1556 Exactly! I used to knit as well, in fact, I still do, a bit, but only for scarves, and HUGE needles. lol. . I much prefer to crochet. . Robin teaches so well, and is so patient with "how" she teaches, I much prefer to watch her. lol. .
Right behind you, Lisa Woods at age 62.
I think I like this V-Stitch look better than the original and it’s more fun to work up! Thanks, Robin, as always for keeping us crocheting unique stitches!! Take care! 💕🤗
It's definitely my preferred method! 😀🧶
Love it.ty
Yes! Yes! This is what I needed to see 🫶🏽 Thank you Mrs. Robin for continuing to bless so many of us, whether you know it or not. My aunt taught me to crotchet when I was roughly 10 years old. The pandemic encouraged me to pick up my needles and thread again after mehhh, 10 years? I am now 28 and according to my aunt.. I have completely taken what she has shown me and took it to another level!!! I hate to be cliché but this is the truth. Your videos have brought me tranquility when the past 2.5 years have been nothing shy of a whirlwind for me. As my generation says, “Your aesthetic is EVERYTHING!” lol. From your high caliber of editing to your clarity when explaining even the most basic stitch.. down to nail color. Phenomenal is an understatement. I just attempted the snowflake last night and was able to work up 2 of those cold boys in 30 minutes with Velvet yarn. Anyway, I pray you and your loved ones have a peaceful, safe and blessed holiday and more. I am grateful 🌻 Never stop teaching.. well, unless you want to of course 😄 Selfishly, I hope it’s no time soon! Thank you 🙏🏽
Apologies for the long winded essay but all of the above was on my heart. Thank you and happy stitching 😊
"Your aesthetic is everything" is the highest compliment I could receive! I know I should be taking flattery from the teaching side but it's so nice to hear the tiny details that are so deliberate on my end are actually noticed! 😄 Call me shallow but those tiny details are the bits I obess over LOL 🥰🧶 Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that! I genuinely appreciate it xxx
@@HookedbyRobin You’re more than welcome! You deserve the credit! Us “artists” are sensitive about our crafts even when starting out. Please take it and know that you are truly deserving of such praises!!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with paying attention to details and being confident in your work. That’s what makes or breaks quality, in my opinion. It really is the little things 😊 and I am fortunate to have a great example. You efforts need not go unnoticed and whoever fails to see it.. sucks for them. Missing out big time!!!!!
I agree completely !!
I agree completely...🥰
I love this pattern. I appreciate how you teach it with clarity and accuracy. Just a pleasure to watch. Thank you! 🌞💛
This is such a lovely comment, thank you so much! 🥰
I just wanted to let you know that my 11 year old daughter has done your bee, snowman, granny square, and heart. They all turned out fabulous. She said your the best, and easiest to understand crochet teacher she has found on youtube. 💖👏
This was the loveliest to read Christine, thank you! 🥰🤗
Great Teacher who always surprises me with new , easy And original options for our crochet!! Thanks, Robin!!🌹🧶🌹🧶🙋♀️ 🇦🇷🇦🇷

What a lovely comment to read Kathy - thank you so much! 🥰🧶
I had always thought I was doing it wrong. My grandmother taught me this V stitch over 40 years ago. I actually prefer it, as it doesn't stretch out of place.
🥰🧶
This is such a cool stitch. I haven’t seen it before but I like how it is tighter than the original v stitch. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely! Especially for blankets it is nicer to have it tighter.😃
💖💖💖
I know which stitch I'm going to use for the next baby blanket I make.
I'm always on the lookout for something new and innovative.
Thanks for sharing this.☺
You are most welcome Anna! I'm glad you like it! 😀🧶
I love to watch your videos. You are slow enough to really understand what is going on. I’m new to crocheting and appreciate your willingness to really explain what is going on in the video. Thank you 😊
That is so kind, thank you Amber! 😃🧶
I actually like the look of this way so much better! Love your "byeee" at the end! You're my absolute favorite crochet teacher! You allow your personality to come through!💜💜💜
Awwh, thank you so much Felicia! 🥰😃
Gurl! I know I’m late to the party but thank you for sharing this oh so easy pattern!! It ABSOLUTELY makes sense and when making a baby blanket you don’t want the traditional big gaps that the v stitch will make, so this was a perfect stitch☺️
Hi Adrian, no one is ever too late to the party on my channel.😅🥳 Yes definitely, I’m glad you like it too.
I prefer this alternative to the traditional v-stitch method. Your tutorial was perfect and this will be used, down the road, for my next blanket.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
You’re welcome Jodie, I’m glad it helps. 😃🤗
I love learning new things with you! 💖
This is so kind, thank you Jaime! 🥰

Robin I like the fact that you take time to comment or answer questions which is a big plus for me. Thank you!
I always try to get back to everyone, just at the moment a little delayed to house moving/sorting/unpacking. I so appreciate your comment thank you!🤗
Everyone is busy sometimes. That’s purely natural. Thank you!
This stitch looks amazing. The difference is obvious. Very cool.
Thank you!
Blessings
It is, are you going to give it a try?😃🧶
What a lovely alternative for V stitch. I tried it for a doll blanket for my grandaughter's 'baby' crib. My daughter loved it so much, she's asked me to make a full sized one for her. Thank you so much. Happy holidays and much love from Australia 💗

Miss Robin, I don't know how long you have been at your craft. I am below a beginner and in order to improve my attempt at any needle craft i have watched many many tutorial on the subject without any visible improvement. I am most grateful to you for taking the time to show all of us newbies. Your tutorial is the first I have stumbled upon that I could come close to following your instructions much less actually understand.
