Hey Hailey! PA school! That's awesome 🎉.
Ove was sweet, but I didn't love it either. I might try his Bear Town books. Those might have more meat on their bones.
I did enjoy Outline. She wrote it in such an intentionally arms length way for the main character, as she drifts among other people

The Perfect Child is another great creepy child book. I have read that, along with Baby Teeth and The Push, and honestly have loved all 3, but The Perfect Child was probably the most shocking for me.

That’s a pity that you didn’t get into a Hail Mary. I agreed that the first little bit was a bit technical but then about 1/3 into the book, you find out why it’s so good and how it’s different than the Martian.
