    Can't you access the front nut (the one you used a pipe wrench on) by removing just the wheel arch lining - without removing the headlight. I'm sure that's what the Haynes manual recommends too.

    Could this be removed without removing the bonnet?

      Hi Ian, this depends on which side you are working. The lever for the bonnet is located on the left side, and this needs to come loose (when replacing the front left fender). If you wish to change the right fender, u can just put the bonnet up and stick the lever inbetween so it stays up. For both sides it is not mandatory the remove the bonnet completly, but use something like a broom to ensure it stays up when removing the left fender.

      @@venauto hi, thanks for replying back. Its the passenger side that i need to remove and replace which is the side the bonnet arm is that holds the bonnet up
