A special rule named "I am the Master" means that he always wounds enemy Heroes on a 3+, no matter who they are. I think Sauron player could have cast more spells from a distance for azog or white warg to reduce his will or dismantle him by killing the dog, but he arrived very full and there it was impossible. Even constantly wear it down with transfix or chill soul spell. It doesn't matter, the game was great.
Wow, Sauron properly did some work this game! Might have been better to just feed him 1 model a turn and let Azog heroic combat his way through the orcs. But hindsight is 20:20 :)
@@hedgeknightwargaming41 100% :) I was surprised that Azog managed to munch him to be honest - getting the 1 on the ring save, so painful :) I think you worked it out right too - 4 wounds get through, then a save for each one that would kill. If he’d saved them, he’d be left with 1 wound. That’s how I’ve always read it.
Not sure on that one. I know they can't make strikes or call heroic actions. Hiding behind a shield would sound appropriate given that's what anyone would do who was transfixed by Sauron and about to be murdered lol

(p.91) A: No. Totally see why you think it makes sense that the poor transfixed model would use his shield tho!
Sauron wants to let Azog strike up till he runs out of might. He saves his own might to influence the one right automatically three times changing a 1 to a 2+ Which is still risky if Azog does 4-6 wounds each turn he wins combat as through weight of single dice rolls, he will roll a 1 without might at some point!
Think you can argue either way. If a fight goes 50/50 were both doing lots of wounds however the ring should keep Sauron alive where Azog would just die...

How was Azog wounding Sauron on 3s? Did he use heroic strength??

no its right what you did , sauron has to test for each wound that would kill him
Loved the batrep guys, although I don't believe the compelled captain should have been able to shield vs Sauron at the start :P
