I sat listening to this, sobbing my socks off - such a great band, such feeling, such depth of sound.

Excellent rendition of the piece. Very, very moving. Just the correct tempo too. Thank you Tredegar and Alwyn.

Crisp clear notes with tone and sweet harmany. Never fails to move thoughts of friends and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

I listen to at least one version of nimrod on most days. Your rendering is marvellous.......congratulations...... I wish I could hear you all in person. Thank you.

Brava!! One of my favorite music pieces is Enigma Variations, Edward Elgar, Nimrod.

This is so hard to play by a brass band , but it was played beautifully by Tredegar . Very moving performance , thank you to the players and musical director . As regards the percussion parts ( just my opinion ) but they should have been played , not omitted . Thanks , Mark .

I agree. I rarely hear the glockenspiel part included. I am happy to say that, although I am a sole percussionist in a modest brass band and have only recently ventured onto tuned, I shall be including glock for our upcoming remembrance concert. It is quite exposed and exacting and, for me, a little challenging, but I do think that magnificent piece is lacking if glock is missed out.

The strains on the diaphragm and breath control needed to play this piece is difficult to explain to a non brass player!

What's the timpani for? Completely RUINS the piece. For SHAME!

The timp part is Elgar's original from the orchestral score. If it was good enough for him.......
