I rather see the creepy decorations than the inflatable ones any day... Halloween is supposed to be creepy.
Hey
I couldn't agree more, I always make my house look like a graveyard with a lot of skeletons and reapers, I always get a few scares out of some family members when I invite them over. 😁
Hi
Halloween is a children's holiday.
Oh hi Master0fHyrule

I can see why James would make an episode about today’s “convenient” Halloween decorations, considering he has a history of putting together practical, elaborately-designed haunted houses.
He does? Where can I see that?
@@JohnGoetzGaming ditto on that!

I'm sure there's a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man inflatable decoration somewhere, that's one of the few that actually makes sense to be like that. If there isn't one, then there really needs to be someday!
There is, he is 20ft tall and looks awesome looming over small trees and a fence. lol
My boss has one... and its 20 feet tall.
Well that's great!
That's the only inflatable I'd get.
There is. Walmart had one last year.
Only thing scarier than those inflatables are the prices!
When I'm older and have my own home, I'm never going to buy infatables.
You could say they *inflated*
Hey-Oooo
max is that you
Right. That inflatable Oogie Boogie goes for about $250.
So the BS Man and AVGN are both the SAME person... Does Board James know?
He's a bit busy being dead.

Ya got me at “outdoor pest” 😂
The fact that it was beneath a minion made this perfect advertising. I love when things get honest.
BigEWR couldn’t agree more 😂
My next door neighbor put up a Santa inflatable for Christmas. Santa looks dead in the morning and it’s still there.
The "merry christmas" at the end made sense. If I had a dollar for everytime I saw Christmas decorations in September..
I'd only have 2 dollars, but its 2 more than I should have!
They start mid late August here.
Almost as soon as they get the Halloween decorations out.
At the store where I work the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations were out in August and Christmas was out in September.
Thank goodness my neighborhood waits till after Thanksgiving.
If I had a dollar for every time I've seen Christmas decorations before December, considering I've seen out of season decorations at least 15 times per year until this year which I've only seen 5 times thus far, I would have $245.
@@Hinatachan360 Earliest I seen was late July. Not even joking.
Inflatable decorations are for casuals. The animatronic ones are kickass
True übermensh use real human skeletons.
Especially with a human Corpse staffed into them. Fun for the whole Familiy
They’re much more expensive though. :/
If I could only afford the animatronics. I never have money right after either when they drop the prices.
@@reillymcwriting Helloween is once in the year, you can spend a little bit more for nice looking animatronics. Or buy used ones, like those from Fredy Pizza.
I live in the UK, you'd be lucky to see any Halloween decorations.
Dont tell them. We're already putting up with manky oreos and krispy kreme donuts.
Lucky to see a pumpkin here
Really? I thought it was at least somewhat celebrated there
Why is that? Was it always that way?
A bit round my way but it's not everywhere which I am very glad about
That conclusion really spoke to me. It just seems like more of an issue with modern society. It's never about the experience anymore, just "GO GO GO, we ain't got time for bonding activities."
Makes sense when old and young become more distant/politicized; especially sad when the old are more vulnerable to accept ego TO distance from young. Then whine when they rebel.
Not only the age gap, but the wage gap (between CEO and everyone else, etc.), the ultimate tightening of the times.
The difference between a society that will endure and a society that will expire is its cultural longevity.
At least they are better than half-assed projection lights.
Very true...

Fucko Pops are so tacky and lame. No idea why they’re so popular.

@@britishyankee961 They're not lame to me, I think they're cool!

@@gene-dg9uf I bet some stuff that you have are cheap
Actually worked at Spirit Halloween and they have some truly impressive decorations, both indoor and outdoor. Though I also miss some of the simpler decorations, like plastic pumpkins you'd fill with newspaper and hang on trees, or taking a costume, filling it up and putting it in a chair outside your door. Still, an anamatronic Werewolf Rug is pretty badass.
You can find stuffed mannequins online around Halloween that you can dress up and pose.
I found you can put together a standing body pretty fast with some PVC pipe and chicken wire to fill out the chest, with two pieces of rebar pounded into the yard to slip the pipe over to hold it up. I slapped together a Frankenstein Monster in one afternoon, and am picking up more pieces for a Phantom of the Opera (wearing my tuxedo, that one's staying inside).
some of those at spirit stores are nuts. I think there was one with an alien in a pod and the ones with stepping pads that make movements are creepy too
Stuffing costumes?
I thought that's what costume clearance
was all about!
I really just wish they made an animatronic Freddy Fazbear that’s life sized, since he IS an animatronic.
It’s like u got a direct link to my inner thoughts on Halloween

Being a home depot merchandiser, im sorry for the inflatables lol 😆
You should be apologizing for putting up Christmas decorations before Halloween is even over >:( Home Depot is like a vile, pernicious widow that marries a new man before her husband's body has grown cold in its grave.
And being a Lowe’s unloader I apologize for allowing these things into our realm
To be fair the other non inflatable decorations I've seen in there are extremely cool!
@@LynetteTheMadScientiston that note the time has come of setting up Christmas just this week lol

I work at a Halloween store, and I can confirm the inflatable stuff stays in the back
Is there a reason? Maybe they did it because the inflatables are horrible.

I'm actually pretty lucky. My whole neighborhood is super into decorations. But there's still this ONE house who puts a million inflatables outside. Meaning going by their house always results in hearing this nightmarish "WHIRRRRRR" sound...
0:48 Oh, hey there, Justin!
"I always wanted to know what Frosty looked like flaccid"
- James Rolfe, 2020
The only inflatable lawn decoration I've ever wanted was an 8 foot tall Stay Puft Marshmallow Man I saw in a Halloween Headquarters a few years ago, but even then that's only because being Stay Puft's soft, squishy marshmallow body actually works with the concept of an inflatable decoration.
Next town over: Guy has a life-sized skelton family on his lawn. After Halloween, they all get Pilgrim hats. After Thanksgiving, they all get Santa hats.
"...the Funko poops of decoration..." totally nailed right there 😂
Stay tuned for more dad-themed YKWBS
Well, he IS a dad.
I dont mind the inflatables around Halloween but I hate them at Christmas time.
I actually like both lol i think it sets the tone for seasons
That makes no sense
Why?
I hate them in Christmas when the snow makes putting stuff outside harder.
You and yer minion deco...
Only one I approve of was my uncle’s inflatable hunter snowman. The barrel of his gun would curve and always point directly under its chin.
Almost like it knows it’s existence is BS and is trying to shoot itself to better the lawn with one less inflatable decoration
Frosty's had enough.

You know what’s not BS?! Two videos in a week! One AVGN and One YKWBS!
Everything looking like BOO! HAUNTED HOUSE!
I always get two large pumpkins every year to carve with my daughter.
We've been doing this for about 4 years now, she's 7.
I also collect all the seeds & make roasted garlic pumpkin seeds! We love 'em! 😋
I just set up my slimer Halloween one. Hes popping out of a pumpkin!
Can't believe I never made the connection about how the Halloween stores inhabit the corpse of a closed store.
0:08 The shape of this pumpkin inflatable, need I say more?
“They are the Funko Pops of decorating.” Freaking amazing analogy!
I went to Walmart and all they had where inflatables I miss the old school decorations 🎃
Don’t go to Walmart.
@@fastinradfordable in most places it walmart or nothing or walmart or poor house not counting online
man that 12 ft skeleton is really making the rounds on the internet. A friend of mine works at a Home Depot and told me about it, and now I'm seeing it pop up everywhere lol
That werewolf robot/statue/costume was awesome.
"It's BOOsh't"
I laughed hard
2:28 hit the nail on the head.
Another pro of the inflatable decorations is that they don't take up much space when put away. I have one inflatable decoration, which I only got because it's cute. But I prefer using the classic decorations for Halloween.
I bought mine, because I live in a RV and I don’t have the room. So having an inflatable makes it nice to save room. Also really easy to set up.
Also, they're prone to being vandalized or stolen. So, there's that.
They deserve to be vandalized
You could say that about any decoration. And honestly, who's gonna steal an inflatable pumpkin anyway?
1:01 that sound effect is an enemy death sound from Zelda's OOT and MM
Stalfos!
2:30 I sense an avgn funko pop coming
Imagine buying an artificial pumpkin each year to have a graveyard of pumpkins by the time you hit 70.
It’s so nice to hear someone finally use the word “literally” in the correct way
My mom LOVES these inflatable Halloween lawn decorations.
But she HATES them during Christmas. She likes them better on Halloween cuz she's a fan of the "Fun" Halloween. I kinda am too, in a sense that it reminds me a lot of my childhood, but if I ever decorate, I want something that looks like I just unleashed a Lovecraftian Deity in my front yard!
The old-man crankiness is strong in this video 😂 😂 😂
He’s still right.
I worked at one of the above Home Improvement stores the past couple of Halloweens and when we closed for the night, the power to that area got unplugged and they all deflated in unison. It was great.
I also work at a Home Depot and I do electrical work and I can confirm that all the outlets at the front of the store usually where the seasonal displays are or connected to a bunch of timers back in receiving that usually turn off when we close and turn on at 6 am
"FFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT"
I appreciate the small but subtle swipe at Christmas starting with Halloween these days.
Congrats on hitting #38 on trending. Glory to the AVGN!!!
3:11. Something tells me that you’re from Philly
We went all out with our decorations this year. Completely turned our flowerbed into a fenced-in graveyard and then some. Not a single inflatable to be found.

This is a sign james definitely hasn't lost touch with himself.
It's funny that you mention that it takes over the abandoned stores. All the stores you showed that spirit fills we still have in my town, our spirit Halloween takes over the old blockbuster
Never been into a Spirit Halloween before. I should go and check out the cool decorations.
I'm a manager of a Spirit in Oregon. And yes. I am ashamed of them.
I want Halloween to be Scary and Nightmare inducing as well not cute and cuddly but actually scares.
if you mean really legit probably never gonna happen not to mention if it did the holiday would probably get banned
Matthew Lewis I don’t mean literally nightmare inducing but scary
THE FUNKO POPS OF DECORATING LOL
"I always wanted to know what frosty looks like flacid" That is a line I never thought id hear in my life. Brilliant as always.
"I wish we could go back to Halloween when it meant something". You could really make this work for a lot of things in life. Everything has gone from work with a sense of pride and be proud of the outcome to consume more for China and feel empty until you consume more.

I've also seen inflatable hearts, leprechauns, rabbits and this summer an inflatable Uncle Sam. So now people can keep something inflatable in their yard from October through July 4th.
Do you think James walked around wearing the BS mask while filming this? He has to stay in character after all.

Exactly. Ever since Halloween became a big box store holiday, it's degraded.
Not to mention the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man being an inflatable makes sense.

carvable plastic pumpkins? Are they throwing away the only actually ecofriendly decoration of halloween?
