Nice hit bro so much helpful
I got my E373 after watching your videos. I absolutely love it. This video has now given a totally new aspect for me to play with. Many thanks J.
Same here as well.... Got e373 just before lockdown. Lot of time to practice...
I have doubt for a long time now I have searched for answers all over the internet, that is... does the touch sensitivity of the e373 or ctx800 keys work if I connect to a DAW like Ableton/fl, because my Casio ct300's sensitivity became static when I'm connecting the midi to laptop daw :(
Bro, can this keyboard connect with piano apps?
@abhinavrajvanshi7847 sure. It has the standard midi support over usb.
Thank you SO much. Months of learning and discovery condensed into a few minutes! Much appreciated :)
Thank you Jeremy for this awesome illustration👌
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the videos. At first I thought I wanted a Midi Keyboard controller. but after watching your videos I realized I wanted a keyboard with midi options. I ended up getting this keyboard and no regrets! Thanks again.
Best CZcams instructional video I have ever watched, thank you so much!
Thanks Jeremy. I look forward to trying this on my new PSR-E373.
Thank you so much, you have been of great help !! I was undecided whether to buy the Yamaha Psr but you have clarified my doubts
A big thank you Jeremy See. I always wanted to record MIDI, a big thanks to you. Subscribed!!!
Whoa! This THE only video I've found for a keyboard like this to record into a DAW. I have yamaha, korg, and Roland, and Ensoniq and need to record each into my computer and finally start recording on it instead of my Tascam and Fostex. And I've never heard of this free DAW even by doing Google searches. And Jeremy is always a great tutor about keyboards in every way. Thanks Jeremy!
Glad I could help!
Thanks to you I could have the security when choosing a keyboard, now I have an e373 and I get more excited every day because I learn many things since I'm a beginner, thank you very much Jeremy
I'm happy to help 😃
Thank you Jeremy, your videos - and your voice! - are fantastic!
Thank you for your kind compliments.
Thanks a lot man!!! I was looking nearly for an hour.....finally installed the driver and it worked!
Glad I could help
Very helpful tutorial, thank you. We encourage you to do more like this. It would be fun to see you play a multitimbral General MIDI file in Cakewalk with each MIDI channel in the file playing an instrument on the PSR-E373.
This is awesome mate! Appreciated. Cheers
jeremy see , you are the best descriptive bloke i,ve seen regarding what i need to know . i,m 83 years old i,m australian , i,m getting back to composing while i can. been fumbling around for some time but discovering you i,m purchasing an up to date keyboard and retaining your knowledge on all i need to know . thank you from australia...tony lee
I'm happy to be of service, Tony. ❤️
With this i can play some tracks now.. Thanks Man !
Thank you very much Jeremy, this helped me a lot !!!
Thanks for the amazing tutorial Jeremy. Really enjoy this series. And I love the fact that the Yamaha E series keyboards come with built in audio interfaces. Just makes the job easier and faster.
Indeed! I wonder when will Casio & Korg include an audio interface in their portable keyboards.
man what a big help thanks! great vid!
Excelente video y recomendación, gracias Jeremy
Bro, this was very useful/Thanks for making this video.
Amazing. Thanks and Love from India
Thank you.. This is what i waiting for
. Thank you very much ❤️
I'm happy to help 😃
Just got this keyboard! I like it alot...
I´m nearly to acquire an PSR E373, thanks for your videos
Thanks for that bro great help much love from nz
Great video tutorial and thanks for all ur input of keyboards just got the EW310 in the mail today. Looking forward to the adventure of learning something new thanks again Jeremy, God bless
Have fun!
I LOVE this little cheap $200 keyboard. I used it on a gig and it was awesome! My favorite sounds are the strings & Electric piano patches which hooked me in the music store. This is also a great beginner reasonable priced keyboard for kids who are interested in playing.
Thanks. This vid is really helpful!
Well I think I have just found my new keyboard. After watching this and other videos I'm pretty convinced this is the one for me.
Thank you so much for this helpful video
many thanks for this video 😊
Great implementation video for this keyboard, like you have done for others. It helps the beginners and technically challenged get started.
Your kind words keeps me going. 😍
@@JeremySee Being able to use DAWs and all the thech is great, but the real satisfaction about music is the bread and butter playing chops, back to basics. There is no limit.
It's great to have nice keyboards and gear, but many get starstruck with the gear. Often the full satisfsction of getting to the destination will be lacking, without the enjoyment of the journey.
These $200 - $300+ keyboatds like my Go:Keys can do great.
This recent video of Yohan Kim playing a Go:Keys displays he can play his pro level chops even on cheap semi weighted keyboards.

@@JeremySee That Japanese jazz pianist Masataka Kono shows you can play well even on a $100 Yamaha PSS-A50. He has a bunch of videos to prove it.
Really useful tips..thanks
thank you so much!
So far I only know how to record WAV sound of my E373 using Audacity and soundcard.
Thank you, Jeremy! There are many cool VSTs I want to try, with an actual keyboard as MIDI controller!
Unless your soundcard is very good (or you added an audio interface) this will be a vast improvement. But if, as I think, the E373 has audio over USB (as well as MIDI) I guess you can still use Audacity if you like, but now with a cleaner signal. Does anybody see a problem in that? I use Audacity sometimes, but I've never tried it without an audio interface because they didn't offer audio over USB when my dp was made.
@@Zoco101 Hey man, wondering if I could use this keyboard as a midi for sounds that come from the daw sound libraries.. or if I could only use the stock sounds on the 373? Sorry I'm new to producing and have a lot of questions. Whenever you get the chance I really would appreciate it. Also wondering if I should buy a midi keyboard controller seperste from this even if it does the same thing wondering what extras would come from buying a midi keyboard controller. Appreciate it.
Thank for your info
Thank you Jeremy! I've been waiting for this video. Very helpful & shows more versatility of the keyboards.
Your encouraging words makes my effort worth it! 😊
Thank you
You are awesome
Very cool 😎
Very useful many thanks
Thanks!
Brilliant! I record as a midi track first to quantise and edit notes etc, then re-record that to the audio track
Could you please explain a little bit how you do it? I'm sorry I'm too new to all this... Thanks !!!
Hello! I really appreciate all the videos about comparing the different PSR E models and it helped me choose the PSR E373. I would just like to know what are the velocity ranges (0-127) of the piano? All I know is that it has 4 velocity levels.
Super Tanks jeremy
so helpful
Love your videos. Do you program music sequences?
thank you brooo
Now, if you would only do a couple of videos using Cakewalk with a Yamaha MX synth.... Great job, to-the-point and very helpful for using Cakewalk! :)
FWAH. Amazing!
Wah lau eh... Did you just lowered my average view duration? 🥺

Hi Jeremy!
I'm so glad you could show me how I can directly record my Yama PSR-E373. However, when I stop recording on Calkwalk and play it back, it seems to have not recorded the last few seconds, and it varies how much is lost at the end. So when I record a song, sometimes the last few notes will not be present in the recording. Do you know if there's a fix for this?
Thanks
i have been looking for how to connect my yamaha to the pc thank you i will tried this now
Jeremy, could you please do a video on multi-track recording using Cakewalk by Bandlab on the Yamaha DGX670 highlighting the different MIDI Local control settings that this fantastic keyboard offers? Thanks to you for providing us with such informative videos.
Tnx
hey jeremy can u pls tell me what to do if my brand new ctx 700's keys start making noises. i have already exchanged it once from casio but the problem still persists in the new keyboard
Great channel ,,, can you tell me why when I record into garage band directly from the keyboard via usb the volume I. GarageBand is a lot quieter then when recording using midi
Thanks
Exellent video! Does it have a lot of latency?
Are other keyboards like casio can also be used as Audio Interface? Which ones? If so-pls make another video about them 😀
Hi Jeremy! Great Video! Thanks a lot for that! Just a little question: what is the default format for recorded songs? Is it wav? Thanks in advance!
Thanks Jeremy for the video! Would you make another one, to show how to record multitrack MIDI using multiple E373 internal voices? Is it possible to switch voices directly from the E373 panel and record that information in the MIDI track while playing and then replay the multitrack using multiple E373 voices?
Thanks ! Jeremy i have a doubt , what is differnce between using A to B cable for midi and uaing an USB interface like Focusrite , because i am using one but i do not get midi signal from keyboard if use only L/R port from keyboard, which is connected to audio interface xlr quarter jack. However i listen piano keys through headphones. Also in FL studio there is no Midi device shown until unless i connect Ato B cable to computer . Am i doing something wrong here ?
Mr.Jeremy you teach us great and more detailed information. Thanks for the effort for this E373. I have something to ask, How to switch instruments using Cakewalk by pressing the button from the E373. For example First instrument i set the effects to Grand Piano and second instrument i set it to String .. How i play and switch my Grand piano sound to String by pressing only the button from E373?
Jeremy I just subscribed to you channel. I was wondering if I could use my daws stock sounds and use this keyboard to do that or if I could only use the stock sounds? I watching your video and just want to make sure... Also what would be the advantage of buying a midi keyboard that has no sounds and are made specifically for using the daws sounds? Thanks very much
Hi Jeremy, I downloaded the Cakewalk and followed your instruction having my Yamaha psr E373 on Local (off), when I select the piano sound from Cakewalk, I do not hear a sound coming from the keyboard. Can you give me some tips on how I can the keyboar be heard when using Locall off? Thanks
Hi, could you please do a video on just using your keyboard as an audio interface ? I use kontakt and I wonder how to output the audio through the keyboard speaker out without an audio interface. Also, how would this have worked if you had set the output driver option to Line ( 2-digital keyboard) ?
Excellent tutorial! Can you advise if this keyboard can be connected to a second midi keyboard controller, such as the M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini? If yes, would that midi controller be connected via the aux in cable port on the Yamaha? I know many keyboards can be connected to a second midi keyboard controller but I dont see a midi in port on the Yamaha. Any feedback is appreciated.
very nice tutorial sir, but other than piano sounds from the cakewalk DAW does it have a drums and percussion sounds too? thanks
I liked your video and I got the drivers set up, but when I got to cake walk things were different. Instead of giving a cakewalk program they gave us BandLab Assistant that does the DAW work on a simplified online program. It's different from the cakewalk you are using in the video. Do you have any link to the original cakewalk software or any suggestions?
Great video! Will it work too
with Logic Pro 10 running on a MacBook Pro with El Capitan?
If you wanted to record the one finger bass and drum thingy, how would you do that ? Would you be able to assign them to a single track in the DAW, or do would you have to record the drums and bass separately ?
All Yamaha PSR-E keyboards with the USB port are supported by a Steinberg AUDIO / MIDI driver and you can use the PSR-E as AUDIO playback interface also.
And for linux, is there software available too?
Love your videos and your voice! Thank you so much for your valuable expertise. I bought the Roland e-x50 and Yamaha 473 and send both back. Yamahas possible defect and Roland, is too big, too complicated for me as a beginner, plus I didn't really care for the the sound. Now I'm back to the PSR e- 373 but I need to know how to hook up a singing mic to that. I saw a guy that used to Dr-05x and was wondering if that would do or is there something better?
Great Video Jeremy,
Can we expect E473 during the upcoming Summer Namm????
I don't work for Yamaha and Yamaha doesn't talk to me.
Just got one! Now the journey begins. I can't play. I can't record. It's a long road ahead!
Hey I hope you r doing well. Do u mind sharing your progress.
Hi
I want to ask you that which keyboard is better Yamaha per e463 or Casio CTX 8000
Hello Jeremy can i use the same tecnics and cables to connect my new psr sx600 (i buy it because of your videos about it) to record with my daw? I have also a Motu 2 sound card what is the best to record my new keyboard your sysyem with simple cable or better to use my sound card Motu?
Hello! good video! I have a question... Does the sustain function work when I connect the USB? as? Thank you!
Hello i am here to support cuz i feel bad lmao
Jeremy I love this piano, which I bought on your recommendations. Everything si great, but the speakers are too low, can you do a vid or even just tell me, how to connect external speakers? , and which ones to get ?( for home use) Thanks in advance
Thanks Jeremy, for this usefull tutorial. Is very similar with the e463 and other Yamaha models that you had reviewed yet in a dedicated video to this keyboards. The Cakewalk software is very well to make music with quality. Combines with other virtual instruments, is a powerfull tool.
Greetings from 🗿Chile🇨🇱
Hola, una pregunta, le haz instalado instrumentos que funcionan con kontakt?
Hello sir.... I need your help.... I got a sustain pedal for my keyboard.... And i am usong bandlab cakewalk only.... But the sustain pedal is not working with the midi voice but its working with simple keyboard voice..... Please help me sir
I have doubt for a long time now I have searching for answer all over the internet, that is... does the touch sensitivity of the e373 or ctx800 keys work if I connect to a DAW like ableton/fl, because my casio ct300's sensitivity became static when connecting the midi to lattop daw :(
hi, does the insert audio track use the laptop or desktop's microphone to record or does it do this directly from the keyboard?
Hi Jeremy, I went to the driver link and I don't see any information for downloading drivers. I have an apple computer. Can I use my PSR ew425 as a controller keyboard in Garage band? And if so, do I need drivers? Thanks so much!
Hello, do you know if i can hear the sounds coming from this keyboard to Garageband if connect with USB?
Does casiotone ct s1 usb port work like this. I am confused about if something is a midi controller or not. I assume having usb to host (micro usb also) makes it a midi controller. Is it not?
Does it recognise the touch sensitivity when connected and played as a midi keyboard?
Hi! This functions are in the yahama psr 463? congratulations!!
Jeremy See, perhaps you can help me out here. I am trying to load MIDI files on my PSRe 473 but I keep getting "UnFormat" message. I looked in the manual and there is no trouble shooting for that message. I looked online and can't find anything about it.
In case I use World Piano App in E373 keyboard, how can I set the keybord sounds to mute? many thanks.
Please is the sound coming from.the keyboard or it is coming out of the speaker...because I am just thinking do I need an external speaker or use my keyboard speaker?
Thank you Jeremy for very helpful demo. One quick question, can we also record other sounds of keyboard like beats and rhythms to DAW? Thank you in advanced your reply!
Yes you can!
How to connect yamaha e373 to big speaker ?
hey i know this video is old but i wanted to ask for your help, i followed everything in the video but when i plug in the keyboard and try to use any instrument sound theres a crackling and the audio just breaks up, i can still hear the plugin is working the audio is just broken up and crackling and its unusable, what can i do to fix this?
i have a yamaha psr ew310
I’m having an issue where my piano doesn’t pop up in the input column in the Playback and Recordings section. It shows as connected to my computer and pulls up Digital Keyboard underneath MIDI devices. Anyone know how to fix this?
Pls tell me which piano should I buy,
Yamaha PSR F51.
OR
casio CT-X870IN.
Pls sir tell me which one is better.
Pls make a comparison video of Casio CT-X870 vs Yamaha PSR F51.
Hi sir Jeremy how can i add song to my psr e373? So that i will save and just play,...thank you
