When precisely my friend Joe, member of Theee Retail Simps, one of the freakiest Rock'n'Roll bands I've ever met, sends me as manager of his label, Celluloid Lunch, a track like this, accompanied by the following text: "This might not be in your wheelhouse, but figured I'd send it your way anyway cause it rocks and I want people to hear it/see it!" We sure are doing something right, for two reasons, first because I see that our audience always expects the "worst" from us, and second, because even being so, we have generated enough trust that a guy with a label as awesome as Joe, is able to send us something so beautiful, despite the weird punky shit we put on our channel every day.... Well, know just one thing, Joe, I've been listening to all kinds music during all my life, and I reach Punk after passing through many things, and I won't move anymore from this genre, my brain is too deranged and corrupted to go back, but there was a time when I was a great follower of Chilton, Big Star or Teenage Fanclub, of the perfect song-writring of guys like Evan Dando, Gram Parsons, Neil Young or Stephen Malkmus, of the preciousness of 80s Power-pop... And above all, songs that give a good vibe and a sense to all that shit we share every day, that's why so beautiful pearls as this song, from time to time, are needed in our channel, to show our audience, that outside the world can be wonderful!
