Bass player is a fucking tank
Oh, he's the driver alright
I'm all about that weekend at bernie's look
@@BloomGlare weekend at Benke's
Yes, he is. You know exactly what he’s about ten seconds in. He ain’t fkn around. He’s boss.
He's the heartbeat
I watch this once a week, religiously. It’s like a spiritual experience. Marvellous.
Agreed!
Me too! Same! Cathartic release!
I can’t wait to go see them live gonna lose my shit
Me too! Absolutely stunning!
Same! Every saturday after a few beers. Like clockwork!
I lost my shoe and my phone in this pit. Found my shoe on the floor and some legend handed my phone into security!
White iPhone?
Legend indeed. Most folks are good to be fair ♥️
We found a phone and handed it in, I think you came down to the very front looking it? Glad you found it!
@@damo447 legend!! Thank you!
"Yeah we have a bunch of lost phones plus someone dropped their synthesizer right by the stage."

I know that, but me wife doesn't think so.
Ho man.... 😂
Eatin good, doin research chemicals, livin good!
🤣🤣🤣
Man, that looked like the 90’s there. It was glorious to see.
That's how I felt seeing them last Feb. The whole floor was pogoing
‘80s too! 😊
It made me remember that old beer commercial where the guys were ordering beers from a crowdsurfing waitress while crowdsurfing.
Totally agree. Festivals where you lost your mates and no way to find them - everything was an adventure.
my first thought, like a throwback to those days when no phone meant no distraction

Everything about Sebastian screams "I don't give a fuck" and yet he always delivers a brilliant performance. He's a proper throwback of a frontman, in the best possible way.
He is the epitome of cool
Im pretty sure all he gives a fuck about is his music.. the rest? not so much
yeah like... fuck trying to climb back on this stage- im taking the stairs. Legend
If Roy Orbison was a punk.
I've heard he's really loose
Every morning I wake up, have a coffee and watch this on full volume. My non-negotiables.
I love when the frontman is crowd surfing and the sax player is just lying on the ground freaking out with the sax
Every time I get on CZcams I have to watch this video. It's addictive as the Research Chemicals are themselves.
more so. Screw Research chemicals...I get high on just WATCHING the crowd come to life and have a life of its own a whole new world. This is what it is supposed to be. This is what people are trying to find when they reach for a drug. They want THIS
QOTSA and them had the best sets and now they’re set to tour the US together, you love to see it.
Yeah I swore they had a show coming up and now all of sudden there together. Best show around Mos Def
Just saw them both in St Louis and Viagra Boys were incredible! I wished their set could go longer by at least a couple songs, QOTSA nailed it and played Avon and First it Giveth for the first time in years and it was electric the whole night.
@@dookiejohnson4268 sounds amazing, I’m seeing them in Arizona in December but sadly viagra boys aren’t attached to that leg of the tour which is a big bummer, would kill to see those guys live especially with QOTSA. The opener for that show is a band called spiritualized, I’ll have to look them up because I’m not really familiar with them
Lol lyrics so accurate, “you’ll know it’s working when everything feels wrong “
😂😂 love it
Well known felling
Sebastian is the coolest man to ever walk this planet, we're not worthy
Everything about this performance makes me smile
This is like Jez & Super Hans' dream performance
This is the only band whose performance I didn't see a single phone. Everyone is just dancing and enjoying the moment!
Long live the phoneless! ❤🎉
I know people need to document, but not all of us 😅
@@danielsmeyer agree. The interesting thing is that you can shoot as much video as you want, but the concert you'll remember the most is the one where you didn't shoot anything.
4:48 two clowns in the front row.
Or Dave Grohl!
This might be the greatest band that ever existed
The Bass Player is from another world.... Listen to him !!!!!
Foreal thats crazy
most aggressive bass tone I've heard since the stranglers in their heyday
I used to work with Seb the singer in Stockholm... Legend!
That’s awesome! 👏
i told my kids theyre not allowed to listed to this kind of music untill they 18yo to make sure they will listen to it when im not around
Pros to the bass man playing that riff for 10 minutes straight without cramping
that bass tone is just huge too
Benke Nitad

@@pege950 Benke is an absolute beast
The fall blindness could be a Viagra boys song it's definitely inspired him
As my Mate MAd Eddie said, any band that can cause that much chaos at 4pm on a Sunday get's my vote! Total commitment from band and audience..a rare thing at 'Glasto' these days..
After 10 or so years of Coachella live feeds, with boring crowds and boring bands; it's great to see some fun and life brought back into live music. LONG LIVE VIAGRA BOYS!
If you like this type of crowd, I think you will enjoy this performance of Sports: czcams.com/video/XdKQpPy1P4Q/video.html
Feel free to also check out Troglodyte from the same concert.
Cheers!
Coachella has nothing on UK festivals like this. Glasto has a bit of everything for everyone from mainstream to the most obscure and underground
If Coachella is your only reference for live music within the past decade......you are a complete loser
10-4 on that little buddy
Coachella is full of a bunch of rich yuppie posers
Must have watched this 100 times.
Me too. Hooked into it. Watching about 10 times a day.
@@simonok87Same hahaha
Same. Gotta see them live soooooooon!
Up to a thousand lol
Mee too. This boys are amazing, saw they in Dezember last year in Berlin
listening to this doing research chemicals with my PO officer
The highlight of Glastonbury coverage for me. Nice to see the keyboard player was delivered safely back, but managed to double his cowboy hats.
I think this guy stole my jacket that I got from my grandma.
Maybe she bought a couple more, maybe he helped her at the grocery store.
Nah nah he ain’t no thief. You just got the same stuff.
Broke my ankle in the pit 👴🏻🤦🏻♂️🤕. Still totally worth it. What a set
I wouldve gave my left ball to have seen them :(.
WOW! But was still probably the best time of your life! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Quality
They should print that quote and use it as an advertising campaign
did you have to leave the site to get it fixed wtf
Absolutely the best base player on the live music circuit today. I love watching this guy crank out the motor torque that runs this whole performance. And my 8 year old is disturbingly unable to stop dancing to Research Chemicals. I don't dare explain the words to him. I'm already in for some future hell from this boy !
Hahaha :)
Bass player is Henrik Höckert, aka Benke. Fuckin legend
Sir, Yes Sir !@@indiefjant
fuck yeah. when the time comes tell him use drugs wisely and spend money on speakers first then drugs second
A special thanks to Dave Grohl, who didn't crash the performance to share the spotlight. Cheers VBs 🍻
😂
Replacing Bono.
I laughed loud
Kind of feel sorry for Dave,. He's just a casual dude who wants to hang out with bands he likes but he accidentally got so big he looks like an attention hog instead
@@DantesGrill I agree, it's not his fault if he gets invited on stage, it would be rude not to.
There's just something about the raw joy in the crowd of this video and the banging tune that keeps me coming back to this video. I'm sure there was some help here and there but still.
Imagine your job was to make people this happy.
Now, that’s a baseline worthy of the late lamented Lemmy Kilmister in his halcyon Hawkwind years. And the rest of the band? CAF! An as talented. Truly magnificent.
It's the bass line by the fall, bourgeois town
Discovered these Boys during Covid Lockdown, Totally Brilliant. Brilliant to see something different at the age of 66.
Great performance.
It's quite frustrating how people go on about there being no good music, no punk, no rock, etc. And then when a band who have been moderately well-known for several years play a show at the most mainstream possible festival, everyone's like 'oh my god, this is amazing, how have I never heard of these guys!'. It makes me wonder where you are looking for your music. We're in a golden age, you just have to spend 10 minutes on google to find incredible music in whatever subgenre you like.
I have never read a truer comment in my life
Bit harsh maybe. Music finds the person sometimes too. In its own medium and not to a time frame. Ive just found these guys myself from hearing Bill burr recommend them.
Gotta say im well impressed.
Videos are slick too.
@@niallrg3708 That's fair, sometimes music does find you. I don't think I've said anything harsh, though.
It's perfectly fine to be out of the loop on current artists, and it's perfectly fine to be critical of current music. But to do both at the same time is just pure hypocrisy and/or ignorance.
It would be like ordering a margarita pizza from Pizza Hut every night, and complaining how pizza sucks nowadays, and that food sucks in general. Then when anyone says there's other food out there, going "I've tried it all - pepperoni, farmhouse, Hawaiian - it all sucks!". No... I mean order from somewhere else. Even if for some strange reason it needs to be pizza, there's a million other pizza places, many of them doing innovative stuff.
I agree, unfortunally there are algorithms, man. Sometimes you just gotta dig for new stuff to get out of the "If you like X, then you'll enjoy Y" thing.
Agreed bro. I always tell people that if they don't think any new quality exists they aren't looking properly
The crowd is mental for this. LOVE IT. Shrimptech all the way!
The most interesting thing i find about this performance is that i didnt like this at all after first hearing it. But i found them oddly interesting. After coming back a few times, I love it and really dig the beat and the sound. Thats the magic of music. Now they are one of my favorite bands ever. Life is strange sometimes...
Holy shit - I think I may have a new favorite band.
Every time I listen, I switch favorite band members
Bassist killed it ❤
Saw them open for Queens of the Stone Age in Vancouver last night. And ......whoah.
Viagra Boys are SERIOUSLY one of the very best bands to come out this decade! 😃👍
Good to see more people having their hand up and not their phones. - Great performance.
Saw that alot at glasto this year. Good to see.
Great point. I wondered why the visuals look so old school in that crowd
First thing I noticed, so unusual to see an audience that isn't just a sea of phones, looks great.
Here here ❤
Utterly fantastic, stuff the pyramid and Elton John, this is what it's all about!!!
My exercise routine is practicing Sebs dance moves
also- can i just add a fuckin massive salute to the sound guy, he caught this perfectly. makes a big difference. well done mate
Guitar solo was a bit muted though
This song is a perfect example of the power of syncopation. The Drums with the Bass, with the Guitar, the Synth stabs, everything, you can't help but dance once you tune into the rhythms. They're addictive!
THE FALL - WHAT ABOUT US?
As I said to the missus when she laughed at me dancing round the front room in my PJs, after some wake and bake this morning, this song just GROOVES (not sure that's the correct term, but this stuff is strong..)
@@johnsoneightyeight5018 I'm a fan of The Fall, but haven't heard that one. Thanks for the rec, similar vibes for sure. Tim Presley from White Fence used to play guitar with Mark, he's worth checking out if you're not familiar.

Absolutely with that great punk ethos that anyone could learn the guitar and start a band. Love it
@@andrewbowen6875 But not just anyone can have this front man's charisma. theyre the real deal
@@MultiSpazzo Yeah, but Sebastian admits himself that he doesn't know anything about music, so it's the Punk ethos that empowers some charismatic weirdos to pursue Art on a global scale. The whole band's the real deal, for sure.
This band will have an dedicated audience till they die if they want it. Its the Dead of the 2000s
@Martin-qy3mm having been brought up a Dead head I got the same impression when seeing an audience who all gets what they doing and an audience not standing there with their friggin cell phones but digging the music
