KEXP doing exactly what has been my dream concept for 20 years. I'm an audio engineer. This is perfection to me.
Yes, the sound quality for these shows is possibly the best on CZcams
I love the sound of this too but I also wish (and I’m saying this as a listener not sound engineer) that they turned the sax up a bit more. Usually you hear it more in their other live recordings. But still overall, great sound especially bass
Perfection
Judging by the sleek smile of the guitar player on the very first frames, they were also thinking that was perfection indeed
And here's the staple audio engineer comment on a KEXP video. We get it.
I just saw them opening for Queens of the Stone Age in Indianapolis the other day, and they were so incredible. I had no idea who they were and they brought the fucking house down. Their energy was insane and made me a lifelong fan. Long live Viagra Boys! ❤❤
Saw them there too. They put on a hell of a show. Idk who that French goth band was tho lol
Same show! Enjoyed it more than QOTSA haha.
Same show and same thing. 1st time hearing them and now I’m hooked. Queens rocked as well.
I became a fast fucken fan the first time I dipped my toe in their music via a CZcams suggestion… and was able to be at that venue😅
Cant wait for no values!
finally, shrimptech enterprises is hitting the REAL big time on the big ol KEXP stage
Wherever Benis is, I hope he’s watching this
he would be very proud
Saw the band in 2019 when he was still alive. Dude slayed it.
God i miss Benis
I think the name is Penis.
Worm food, RIP
Shrimptech janitor here, these guys treat me like a brother. Best company (family) I've ever had the pleasure to work with.
7:08 a man in full control of his synths
I've just turned 60. I say that like its a Badge of Survival, cos it fucking is. I grew up in England, gigging every week from the late 70s until I left the country in 1990... punk, ska, new wave, metal, alternative, swerving hard into acid house in '87, then rave. I left because I could see what was happening to my life with drugs and alcohol and the rest as the lifestyle became normalised. It wasn't gonna end well.
Music is still the only constant in my life, but the horror show of the last 10-15 years has cast a huge pall of despair. The auto-tuned lipped-synced dirge the kids listen to now on their damn phones makes me deeply sad.
This band - THIS BAND - are a fucking revelation for me.
This band. Shit, I don't even know what to say. My one & only experience of them live was deeply moving and a seminal live experience after many years of wondering if it was really all over. They've survived tragic line up changes and more and yet here we are.
The Viagra Boys. The Viagra Boys.
Thank you.
There's plenty of fantastic modern music if you just look for it
Possibly the greatest alternative band in the world right now.
Viagra boys and Idles ❤
Ohsees
No such thing as alternative.
That damn bass!!! Can't get enough of it! Well done!
He deserves the Nobel prize for ripping bass.
If you haven’t already I’d recommend you to check out one of the bass players’ previous bands Pig Eyes, monster sound there too
already know this is gonna be a banger
At first I thought they got a new lead singer, his voice doesn't even sound the same, but I was pleasantly surprised I open my CZcams tab, clicked it immediately.
@@roncv26 i cant really here it until they played worms, they usually record these pretty early in the day though so i assume his voice was either just not fully ready yet cause of it being early or his voice just a little strained from the tour
@@diegoa6847tbh I think he sounds amazing during this performance, I don't know what it is he is doing different, if anything at all, but it is loose
Being in middle age, I’m probably not their target audience, but damn if I don’t feel 20 years younger when I listen to them. My favorite new band in a long, long time.
course you are - we all are :)
Mine too. Like one band from Serbia 2014... and then BUM Viagra Boys ❤ My friend ask me: Do you want to see make version of you? ... well, I am then very sexy. And "crazy". 😜😈

I used to work with Sebastian in Stockholm, total legend!
Yung Lean used to come into our store actually haha
@@LondonStockholm lol that‘s pretty cool
Shrimp farming?
You lucky bastard!
I f*cking love this band.
They keep releasing quality albums and they're amazing live.
Destined for legendary status.
Here's to the global Shrimptech takeover!
I am in 🦐🦐🦐
Count me in! 🦐🦐🦐
It Aint Enough is Iggy Pop and The Stooges. Absolutely the Album Fun House in one Song.
They are the best band ever, PERIOD.
Count me in brother, fucking superb, this is like the best orgasm ever 👌👌
This band has brought so much to the table since the beginning. Great music. Great lyrics. Just so so so good.
Fucking everything I've wanted since hearing Pink Grease like 20 years ago.
I hear you brother 👌👌❤️❤️
Just discovered these lads and this fucking exceptional. Then the interview and he's talking about 2001 being his favourite film. Man alive. Love them.
Stooges Devo Clash...it's fucking brilliant
This captures almost perfectly what the energy of the Boys is live, except for Seb keeping his shirt on, Elias not being cowboy'd up and Oscar not rocking the world's hottest hot pants.9.7/10
Sebastian is wearing headphones and a shirt. He's also not dancing and laying on the floor. What is this.
New meds idk
It's probably 10 AM or so, he's not fully on his thing yet
Maybe he's grown-up some...sucks getting older...but wow this is amazing...listen to this
Lmao😂
I don’t see him with with the speed dealer shades as much lately either
I love how hung over everyone looks.
They probably dont just look it haha. These guys go hard, or so the story goes
@@rederickfroders1978 Someone's got to do it. Charlie Sheen can't live forever.
Troglodyte is too fucking good.
God damn the VB's never disappoint.
I can’t believe I slept on this band for so long. I figured with a name like that it’s gonna be a gimmick but I’m obsessed
Saw them a few days before this in Vancouver and I haven't been able to get the smell off me since
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO DROP. MY BOYS MADE IT TO KEXP AND IM SO PROUD
You fathered every single Viagra Boy? That must have taken a lot of... Well.... Viagra.
So glad that real music isn't dead. ❤️❤️👌👌
Seen these guys at Leeds festival 2017 before they got huge, probably about 100 of us in a tent witnessed a mad as fk 35-40 minutes of pure energy, been hooked ever since. Sebastian probably still has spells in his back from squirming around on the stage with no top on.
I just happen to have the exact same bicycle that you do.
These KEXP shows always sound amazing
VIAGRA BOYS FOR LYFE!!!!!!! BEEN A SHRIMP SINCE THE FIRST DAY!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That synth/keyboard sound in Worms at 13:40 is so beautifully haunting, this whole set in general really shocked me with how good they are. Its been a while since I listened to them and I definitely need to check out their new album now!
And it’s even more haunting because of the lyrics and recent passing of OG Guitarist & Founding Member Benjamin Vallé. R.I.P.
More punk bands need a woodwind section. These guys are awesome, I need to see them live at some point.
Saccharine Trust anyone?
There a recorded live performance on CZcams. Viagra Boys were performing at ORAE festival in 2019. Take a watch. Brilliant
I was this close to saying sax is a brass instrument until I realised you’re right of course
They are Swedish and a song by the most legendary Swedish punk band (Ebba Grön) has sax in it. Guess it’s tradition
@@artonion420 It also was a surprise to me, as a friend, saxophone and clarinet player, explained me, that both are woodwind instruments, because of their mouthpiece, what has a wooden reed.
Geniuses ⚠
Thanks for sharing, liked in seconds!
I like that Henrik Palm plays with them
Rest in peace Benjamin Vallé
Saw the Viagra Boys in February in Chicago and it was easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They bring an insane energy to their shows and I recommend everyone go see them. Insanely entertaining group.
Me too. One of the most fun shows I've seen. Sports brought the house down
IT AIN'T ENOUGH
This version of It Ain't Enough is a banger
This band are the new Hawkwind. That band were protopunk space rock. On skip loads of drugs! This band are amazing and have revitalised my love of music.
I saw the name "Viagra Boys" and had to have a listen. Wow. Just like their name suggests, their music got me hard 😜. Did not disappoint.
Anytime someone says there isn’t good rock music today, I always point them to these guys.
I saw them live last night, I can confirm their song hits like nothing else (why I'm here tonight). Random 47 year old reporting from the trenches.
Brand new fan here, fuckin love it. I'll spread my Viagra love everywhere I go! That freakin' saxaphone with distortion or whatever effect sounds mean asf.
What a great sound for a live session
Crazy how popular they've became, still remember watching their first vid because Henrik from in solitude was there and now he's the guitarist, wild.
In solitude is terrific! they are so underrated.
He was also one of those ghouls in Ghost for a while lol
@@Terbynno
this was flawless, well done everyone involved
Ain’t no thief is Viagra Boys’s never fight a man with a perm
I’ve never heard truer words
...oh god, lets hope their future music is not Viagra Boys's crawler.

I have been waiting for this since before Viagra Boys existed.
Well said! ❤❤❤
Best live band on the planet at the moment......seen them 4 times in 12 months..........blow everyone else apart
Killer start to finish.
They are damn fuckin good 🎉🎉🎉
Ain’t No Thief having this Beastie Boys vibe. Badass; this Caveworld new album is being hailed by critics and fans alike. R.I.P. Benjamin Vallé; OG Founding member. Excellent audio engineering as usual from KEXP, and great energy & performance overall! Loved as well the Stooges Fun House era vibes in “It ain’t enough”. Greetings from Mexico; please release this session as an EP!
one of my students in college told me to listen these guys, i thort she said venga boys so i passed, just by chance caught this, killer band, ain't no thief has almost a disco beat, epic tune...and they love flipper..gone fishin ..awesome!!! thanks guys keep it up
venga boys? why you made us remember that hehehehe this is the VIAGRA of our ears
Henrik is rocking a sweet Mississippi Wreckers shirt from Portland!
That lead guitarist is a manimal. I love the way he rips on those strings.
Love these guys
VB is amazing, what a nice set
Kexp somehow gets all my favorite bands viagra boys, king gizzard and the wizard lizard, metric, fishbone, spoon, super furry animals, alt j! The list goes on!!! ty segall!
Seen them twice and amazing each time. The sound on this session is fantastic too.
This Band is so unique and great and powerful and pure and so on and so forth - I must admit.
I found these guys about 2 months ago on youtube, and have been so enveloped in their catalogue since.. i mean damn, there actually is hope for rock music
@@barronpierce8699 I'm on it. Thank you
Research Chemicals hooked me.
@@edwardsisson3580 lol me too, literally
People say there's hope for rock music every year. It's almost as if bands have kept producing good shit, of course you can't count on it being mainstream though.
As usual with KEXP concerts the live versions are even better than the recordings. Amazing energy!
There amazing live
one more badass band that I discovered here, thanks KEXP
Ain't No Thief :30
Troglodyte : 4:34
It Ain't Enough : 8:08
Worms : 12:50
I’d never heard of them before but a friend posted a link to this and now I’m in love.
How dissapointed that VB didn't come to South America during Primavera Sound 2022, hope they'll visit us soon in Chile 😔
Oh wow seb being a real gamers just made me love him much more. And some real great games
Buddy with the Strat just making weird squeaks the whole time hahaha love it
Mixed to perfection
Can't stop listening first song because of Oscar's guitar ❤
Worms is the fucking jam. Those horns make it so dark but beautiful, I'm just now discovering these guys. They're killing it
My new favorite band. The whole set is full some vein slappers. Good shit kexp always putting me on to good bands
I always miss seeing Benjamin 😢 but damn, this was great. They're always great.
Again in love with PUNK, together with THE HIVES best you can get....
Finally a live musical steamroller, yes! this is rock!
probably THE best KEXP performance ever 🔥🔥
Awesome band, I'd love to see them in Australia some day.
from the name I didn't expect much, but wow!
These guys are absolutly stunning live. Been two times and I want more
Their sound is incredible 🤘.
Hell yes. Looking forward to this. By far my current fav band!
Not what I expected from a band called "Viagra Boys" but this rocks.
Your drummer is modern perfection
i had the pleasure of meeting these guys after the session recording and they were so awesome
I NEEDED THIS
Wow!! New band for me and I’m blown away!! Thanks for the post.
Check out all the shrimp sessions and thank me later
@@rickybaillie4222 what does "shrimp session" means? Same as live session?
@@kostyawhiteable it's a Scandinavian slang term for something I can't quite remember and the Viagra boys use the word or term in loads of their songs, it's a in joke is how I see it but the sessions are incredible and should be checked out
@@rickybaillie4222 It's from the swedish expression "Glida på en räkmacka" "Slide on a shrimp sandwich". It means having an easy life, things being smooth/easy. Being spoiled with an easy living. It can be used in all those situations.
@@Lurkzz it's a great term thanks for letting me know
I'm so incredibly happy that I got to see these guys live this year. Absolutely amazing show.
These versions are great. Hope they tour Australia again soon.
A must see band IMO
I hope so too. I saw them at Meredith Music festival (or golden plains) and they were epic.
i like how they all look like they are in a different band
It Ain't Enough is just a gem
Yeah man I didn't get the deluxe version of Cave World so that was my first listen! Love the guitar solo.
Te amo Sebastian Murphy
