JUDY AND THE JERKS + SHITTY LIFE - "SPLIT" (2024, full album)

And just today, without warning, and to prove us right when just a few hours ago we were praising the fabulous Mississippi punk scene, we get this barbarity from the wise hands of one of those responsible for that point is always on the boil, Hampton Martin, also mentioned in our previous video, who through his label Earth Girl Tapes is in charge of recording and releasing some of the best hardcore in the area, and who is also a member of one of our most favorite bands of the last decade, the insane Judy and The Jerks, who to the cry of "WIN WHO WINS, WE WILL LOSE" launches this split perfectly combined with the impressive quintet from Parma, Shitty Life, with whom, once again making true the saying "Birds of a feather fly together", they will share this coming June a European tour, as part of the international tour that the Hattiesburg/Atlanta band will start on 7/Jun at the "Oh Bondage, Up Yours Fest" (NY), to then cross the pond to the UK, and later join the Italian squad with which they will continue throughout Europe in a string of absolutely essential gigs. I'd say that I'm speechless, but I'd be lying since I'm typing words. This might be the greatest current punk rock in the world. WAIT! They're playing NYC June 7th?!?! _No freaking way!!_ I'm driving from Texas to see the mighty Adrenaline OD play 3 shows in Conn, NJ and NYC May 31, June 1st & 2nd. They’re one of my all-time favorite bands & got back together in 22 to celebrate their book. I'll be driving around the Northeast the following week partaking of my hobby of wooden roller coasters & will end my trip with Judy And The Jerks and the O Bondage Up Yours Fest before heading back to Texas! Yes, I do crazy shit like this sometimes. That’s punk rock!

@@downallyourstreets I liked Amyl so much last year (2023) that I bought expensive re-sale tickets (since gig was sold out) to see them again in Austin the next night! Definitely one of my favorite bands & concerts now. Funny thing is The Chats were playing the same night in Dallas and Austin! Apparently the 2 bands aren’t too friendly with each other. Same thing happened in other US cities on their tours. I didn’t really know how great The Chats are till after their shows last year. Now I think they SLAP & wanna see them live bad!
