Not gonna lie - I'm a bit sad they didn't bring the headband back for his Dracula X Chronicles look. Hopefully it makes an appearance in the Netflix show.
With Netflix skipping straight to Richter Belmont I’m beginning to feel like they’ll just skim over the more niche characters in the series, which is SUPER unfortunate. It’ll be interesting to see how they adapt the events before & after Richters story, especially with characters like Simon and Julius. Great video as usual!
I figure they will too, which was another reason why I wanted to make this quick vid for Netflixvania fans to familiarize themselves with and hopefully become interested in the other Belmonts and Belmont-adjacent characters.
I'm just glad they didn't go straight to Aria/Dawn seeing how anime that Castlevania already is. It makes sense to go to Rhicter next because they can still use Alucard and some of the holdovers from the other series. But yeah I would like to see more from the other Castlevania games too.
From what I recall, the showrunner wants to touch on everything with Alucard, so the next one will be Aria. I say that because I can't see them doing Symphony of the Night without it being recognizeable.
I think the series skipped to Rondo of Blood and combined with Symphony of the Night/Nocturne in the Moonlight plot. Why? It's obvious. They need the Alucard to be the connection. If they continue with other Belmonts, there wouldn't be any recurring character, and new fans will be very, very clueless. So they need a connection to introduce Belmont more. Once they got more understanding on who are the Belmonts, then it'll be easier to create the series. At least this is my take. Edit: Although I think they might only make SotN/NitM this early on bcs Adi Shankar is a SotN fans. There's also possibility they will not make the other Belmonts. But if they do plan it, I think this is the perfect reason.
While a lot of what you say is true, Adi Shankar isn't involved with Castlevania Nocturne. Plus, while going the Rondo/SotN route does keep Alucard in the picture and he's got popularity, the two games create a bigger amount of content to pull from for multiple seasons as well including more characters (Richter, Maria, Annette, Shaft, etc.)
I'm a big Castlevania. I collect the figures, watch the animated series, read the lore, and of course play the games. I grew up with the series as a child watching my older brother play games 1-4. Now none of this is really surprising. I just do what any other passionate fan does. What's odd is that I grew up in a town called Belmont. And I just wonder what the odds of that is? Great video btw! Love your channel! So happy that I found it! New Sub keep up the great work!!!
honestly it makes me upset, Simon is by far the most iconic OG Belmont, and is very special to the hearts of many. Maybe it's because there isn't much of a story but i would be completely okay with him having completely original character if it meant we got to see him. I fully believe the reason they chose to skip to Richter is because after he defeats Dracula they can Segway into more of alucards story.
Pretty much this. Simon's story between CV1 & CV2 would last maybe a season or so. Doing Rondo of Blood with Richter will mean being able to slide into Symphony of the Night and getting Alucard back onscreen quicker for fans.
Even with that, there's some story material to expand on, especially in Simon's Quest, maybe not enough to make a show, but at least an animated prequel movie(s)
im kinda confused with how netflix will handle soma and julius since for that to happen draculas hatred was needed. great video always forget christopher lol. always get a chuckle with shaft since i cannot think anything but the theme of the 1971 tv series.
I'm not sure how they'll handle Dracula in Richter's time either since the end of the original series arc. I'm worried they'll try some weird story stuff to make it work but we'll see I guess!
I don't think most that know the lore have any idea. The fact they have Lisa alive in hell, whatever that means, might elude to something nonsensical with Shaft as I can't see Shaft inciting him to come back. They skipped over so much I'm not sure they can explain how he can be summoned given they made half his "power" technology. They would have to redo killing Lisa in some way to have him be vengeful and want to return and events somewhat resemble.
Richter Belmont is my favorite every since I played them in Castlevania symphony of the night he can call down rain he can make big crosses he is my favorite Belmont
Apparently the entire village from Order of Ecclesia were Belmont descendants as well?? It’s been yeeears since I’ve played it but I recall the plot saying something about them pretty much all being related. Is that true or am I remembering it wrong?
SPOILERS But yes, you are correct that Wygol Village in OoE is populated by Belmont descendants; all the familial offshoots from Belmont heroes past, only one of whom was even trained to hunt vampires (Daniela).
@@SindraVaniaProjects The descendants are distant relatives aren't they? The power of their blood couldn't resist Dominus completely. But pure blooded Belmonts like Juste could collect all remains of Dracula's body and resist the evil influence.
@@SindraVaniaProjects I've been curious about why the decided on that. It would be extremely difficult to round-up distant relatives, as that would mean people from different regions, gone to different countries. There would be too many and even if they knew their lineage by that point. Given only one knew how to combat vampires, I'd say that was the case or they were very distant. Why would they gather if not to reclaim their past and threats still existed, otherwise they'd just be a target rounded up in one place. I don't recall the explanation in-game.
They are doing the canonical timeline and I doubt those working on the show have knowledge of the games to that extent. Sonia just needs a game to sort her story out to be practical, and that could open up the door to the Belmont inbetween the famous ones.
Honestly, either way I hope this is helpful. Maybe it starts as passive interest due to the Netflix show and becomes active interest in the games after? That's my ultimate goal with this, honestly.
@@SindraVaniaProjects I think it will for those with interest in themes, aesthetic or franchise itself as you don't really see the like anymore (excluding Bloodstained). Not a large crowd as I think the show is for a certain audience and those will be turned away given the contrast with the actual games. I did hope maybe the show, the mobile game would encourage Konami to actually do something with Castlevania, but it's only inspired monetary concern, which shows from lack of connection with show and putting out collections (which I'll at least add they did do a good job putting onto PC).
Richter was my first belmont he was my favorite until i met Julius, such a shame Julius didn't get his own game about the war of the demon castle but it can still happen right? Right? 😢😢
At this point, I'm not holding my breath for am official Julius game, but thankfully fellow fans from @demoncastlewar on Twitter are making their own interpretation of the game so you should check that out! (Castlevania: Seal of the Ecclipse)
Julius was a tough Belmont, especially when he starts wrecking the castle with his grand cross move. You can see parts of the far-off castle breaking when he uses that attack when you fight him.
He killed Dracula 2 times (3 if you count the arcade game) and he did it all with the weakest arsenal and a wearing a mini skirt, does that make him the weakest Belmont? And he's pretty good in Smash. XD
Simon continues to be the Belmont most oldschool gamers remember because he had the most game appearances (CV1, CV2, SCV4, Haunted Castle, X68000/Chronicles, Vampire Killer....and was playable in Judgement & Grimoire of Souls)
@@SindraVaniaProjects I got into a heated argument over Trevor Belmont and Victor Belmont I forget which channel I think it was your channel and it might be the same person that just commented I could be wrong but I know I got into a heated argument
Probably the most badass-looking Belmont, sporting the Ryu headband. Simon will always be my fave.
