@@mikeobama69 Germany played terribly. Sweden played very freely, winning balls and pushing the break at every opportunity. In the end, Germany just got impatient, didn't defend, and starting trying to send balls over the top, instead of build up play. The game was wide open and only Sweden played with the necessary effort to score and to win.

@alexander exis Netherlands women football team is the answer to the teams who play defensively. They can space out the field and force gaps wide enough to score. Defensive Counter attacking teams usually play narrow and compact which can cause issues to teams who like to make plays in the midfield. However possession style teams can create space forcing defensive teams to open up wide. If Sweden's defense comes in with discipline they will win but if the dutch get creative without making any mistakes its a bye bye for Sweden.

The first Sweden goal was the closest thing I’ve seen to the men’s game all World Cup. Target woman with a long through ball over the top, good control on the first touch, clinical finish.

Everyone is shocked, including Germany. Sometimes overconfidence creeps in. This type of result often happens when one side doesn't respect their opponent. In the end, very disappointing effort given by Germany. Poor tactics, combined with poor effort, almost always results in a loss.
