It was a completely brilliant work of art...
But a hard goal
It was pretty incredible actually, the path of the ball was perfection.
It should never have happened. The defender should have gone for the ball or done a desperate tackle outside the box. The other defender should have known someone was coming and cleared the pass. Either the goalie telling her to clear it or her having looked beforehand. Brutal oversights from all three players.
Canada's defense look completely outmatched on that play.
Finally. A penalty that was saved properly

that goal was so good, so many little things done perfectly. the pinpoint pass and the perfectly timed run to make sure she stayed onside all done to perfection which led to the goal
the Referee did her utmost to give Canada another chance to get back into the game but to no avail. 8:30 stoppage time and she still lets Canada get another corner and several seconds of play afterward. Not to mention the VAR offside call instead of a clear penalty call. Our swedish ladies deserved that win :).

She was out of form in the game against the Netherlands, and she was out of form in this match as well. I didn't see one succesful action from Beckie, and yet she takes the penalty. Great save by Lindahl though.

Why the hell is it so rarely to watch a game without a penalty
With VAR previous fouls that we're left unnoticed by the referee is now looked at intensely from 15 angles. Some things are better and more fair with this system but when every little instance is reviewed penalties can be called for the most ridiculous things too.

@@101poumi I noticed that the decisions are inconsistent. A lot of teams that are not on the A list have been disadvantaged by the refereeing decisions. I would put it down to incompetence if it wasn't so systematic.

@@Alnivol666 You missed something (The Last Two Days). A apparently you need to go back and watch the France vs Cameron game, and the US vs Spain game. There where a lot more then 3 missed calls in those games, and some of the missed calls where so egregious that the referees credentials should be pulled. If you don't believe me look at the 94th minute of the France vs Cameron game when the french player commits a penalty that would have gotten her 2 minutes in the penalty box if it where a hockey game yet no red card, or yellow card. If just the penalties in those two games that where not called are added to the total called so far we would be approaching 100 penalties for this tournament. The Chinese referee lost control of the France vs Cameron match about 15 minutes into the game they may as well have played the game without a referee.
People calling for Sinclair to take the penalty should remember Sam Kerr, Carly Lloyd both missed PKs and last Olympics Lindahl won PKs against USWNT and Brazil in Brazil to make it to the Finals. You just have to accept great save and move on.
Women's football Show is nicer, better, and classier than the men's game.It's very good and beautiful to watch...
