Putting a Predator 212cc engine in a Polaris Trail Boss

- I Put a Predator 212cc engine in the ATV, and it still has its original gearbox for forward and reverse! I use a TAV2 30 series torque converter from Ebay to replace the stock torque converter. I will do a top speed run test once its ready. I am guessing it will do 25 or 30 MPH.

you can though it has a spline shaft for the input from the cvt if it is anything like mine was.
I like your video. I just picked up a polaris 325 and wanting to do this mod to mines.
I think the thing most people forget or overlook is the horse power vs the cubic inch/displacement. Sure that's just a "little" 6.5 hp motor but it's 212cc. The trailboss usually came with a 250cc motor... so, speed and torque should be very similar.
Read your sentences before you spew out nonsense shit, a 325cc engine is always more powerful than a power washer engine you bought for less than 100$.
@@GMC.Sonoma.4.3 the engine was a 250cc 2 stroke stock not a 325cc. Polaris made 2 different engine sizes for my year and model. Stock my Polaris was a 250cc.
Stock predator 6.5 hp
Stock TB 250 19 - 22 hp
@@WhoDaBoss-dc4or... agreed. HP is higher but I was pointing out that speed and torque should be similar because displacement is similar. It isn't hard to get a predator motor to pull 20 hp... and it's way cheaper than modifying a TB motor.
You might try backing the throttle adjustment screw out for more RPM and relocate the muffler
I Plan on making a new exhaust system that comes out the back like factory did.
I don't want to over rev the engine once I get a tac on it i will get a aftermarket carb and make a snorkel in future vids.

No sadly it does not have a hi lo range. its way to old. lol

Not to be an ass, but so that you will know. When you use a a lathe to remove material from the outside diameter of a shaft in the manner you did, the correct terminology is turning the shaft down, not lathing. Example: " I am going to use a lathe to turn this shaft down to 3/4 inches in order to be able to fit a sprocket to the shaft. After I have turned it to the proper diameter I will cut a keyway in and then reinstall.
I know it's not really a big deal, but by using the correct terminology that professional machinists use when discussing such work you will sound more professional, and when other machinists are involved in the conversation sounding professional goes a long way.

Haha ive seen stock ones go 30🤷♂️ and they just about have unlimited upgrades for them 212s... that fourwheeler could probably hit a good 45- 50.. now yeah most people dont wanna put that much into a 212 but ittl get up and go with the right mods and gearing
yeah thats STOCK, i have a predator 212 with mikuni carb, no governor, exhaust and valve spring modded, I can go 40 with electric start, lights and even turn signals.
Mini bikes with a stock 212 and same torque converter run 40-50....... But anywho.
