How Hoka Became One Of The Fastest Growing Shoe Brands | Business Insider Explains
Congrats. You just watched an ad.
😂
She wasn't objective at all
I'm a bit sold though.
In California I see everyone wearing them. People are tired of all these shoes turning into socks w grips on the bottom and overpriced. But these are real shoes.
She’s a clown, Cameron Diaz is where them so we all shall follow blindly
how much did business insider get paid
a lot
works in Lava? 😅
😂
I have neuropathy from cancer treatments. A friend recommended Hokas. The Bondi 8 are the first shoes that I’ve worn in years that don’t make me feel like I’m walking on nails. I love my Hokas! They are pretty much the only shoe I ever wear. I wish they weren’t so expensive but they are worth every penny to me.
Really? they felt so hard to me
This video is paid to advertise the shoe brand. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
After 3 months the video will be like " the rise and fall of Hoka shoe brand". 😂
I've been running with the Hoka Bondi 8 for the last 2 years. As a not so young man, I pretty much gave up on the idea that I could still run until I started wearing them. I got the recommendation from an employee at my local sneaker store and it opened up a whole world for me. Getting the right pair of shoes, socks, compression socks? When I feel like it, i can rip off 10 miles now. This is from someone who's had feet problems from youth and is "not young"!
I had the opposite experience. they felt weirdly hard after walking for just 10 mins and even worse running
Never heard of this brand before
My sister who up until recently due to health issues, was a professional dog groomer, she wore hoka's because they were comfortable for her feet standing in the same spot for so long
Brand of leftard
If you've ever been inside the running community, you would know this.
A lot of health professionals I know like to wear them. Nurses, med students, doctors. Essentially it feels good for long shifts that require standing or walking
I see people wear on clouds and hoka shoes at the gym more often. Never seen them before
this is an ad for sure
come on this was just an ad
This video sounds like a advertisement.
Just heard about this shoe after youtube recommended this ad. Not everyone is wearing this shoe. I swear I haven't met anyone wearing Hokas.
And probably won't see them everywhere because they are expensive unless you visit a hospital or go to an "upscale" shopping center where "trending followers" like to go or something like that. Healthcare workers buy them because they are comfortable, no because it's a trend.
Made in China to keep the cost over $100. Nice Ad
L.L. Bean shoes are of higher quality, cheaper and made right here in the USA.
Hoka has drop, which is for running and not good for standing still, so its a bit of a myth that these are the best, but they dont make cushion sneakers so this is the "only" option we have. also, the toebox is not wide. Hoka actually has too narrow toebox compared to others, so this doctor probably has extra wide, which not all hoka come in. I also want to add, one of the reason hoka is solid, is 1: vibram. 2: gore-tex. Which is NOT hoka.
I love hoka myself, but holy shit this is overhyped.
What are you talking about?! Do you even run? Compared to most Runners, Hoka has a wide toe box compared to Mizuno, Asics, Nike and Adidas.
@@timothyprice3670 hoka is not being used by runners. How many runners are there compared to hokas sale?
The bondi version are great for standing. life saver for me.
The shoes are very comfortable. The quality is amazing and it last a long time.
I love watching ads! (No, I don't.)
How much does it cost to get featured on BI
Impressive growth story from Hoka! Their focus on distinctive features like extreme cushioning, smart collaborations, and a selective business strategy shows the power of staying true to a unique value proposition. 🏃♂
I only have a pair because my podiatrist recommend them for my foot pain. They are so ugly but no more foot pain. Have been wearing the same pair for 2 years now, so I guess I am getting my money's worth. Just wish they weren't made in China
I do like HOKA shoes, as a healthcare professional, I appreciate the cushioning of their soles. But there is, in my opinion, a better quality and just as comfortable sneaker shoe maker and it is made in the USA, L L. Bean. Best of all, they are cheaper and last way longer.
lava??
Insightful
Well done!
I will only wear Hokas. They are better for my knees, feet, and back.
I've been wearing Hokas since the early days (Hoka One One) I'm probably on my 20th pair. They were expensive at first but now they're basically the same price as any other purpose made running shoe.
because now i can bet made in asia, same as everything else.
Paid comment.
@@misterhat5823I wish I was getting paid lol! I've actually purchase used ones off ebay (basically new) just to save money on them at times.
Not gonna lie Hoka logo looks like Trigema Logo from Germany 😢😢😂😂❤❤ but nice video, I like it ❤❤❤
I'm using it at my work for a whole day of standing it's very comfortable
I own 4 pairs of Hoka and I love them. But now I currently own 2 pair of Brooks which are good also. Especially for people with Arthritis
I ddn’t even know this shoe brand exist not untill I saw this video. 😂😂😂
On my 6th ( I think) pair of Hokas since 2021. I don't run but I walk about 2 miles a day and have a job that requires me to stand a good bit. Throw in plantar fasciitis and this shoe is the only one I will ever wear again
They are pretty good. I have the Bondi line prescribed by my podiatrist
Same, my physical therapist prescribed the gaviota (most expensive line that has stability).
I wore these ten years ago to run long distance and everyone made fun of me. Now, everyone has discovered the magic.
My Brudder has these
some people who used to work in old companies including nike came together to make hoka
already have 2 hoka shoes.good for my plantar faciitis foot.
wow, never been so bored in my life
I'm happy with my 7$ shoes
Greetings from indonesia
I own a Red Orange Rincon 3, it’s unbelievably light, to the point if feels a bit weird at first. The only downside is that it looks too sporty to wear for casual occasions
so much for the "how"
4 minutes that boils down to "they are comfy and celebs have been wearing them"
not that great tbh, my pair is already on the way out 8 months in
Good Advertising
I have the bondi 8 I’m a florist on my feet for 10 hours + and they seem to be heavier than a ASICS kayano 14 and out of a 10 I give it a 6.5 comfort is not 100% there for me and the sole makes the shoes slightly heavier. For context I’ve worked on balenciaga 3xl’s and they were more comfortable but hey I’m not gonna work in $1,200 dollar sneakers 😉
Why doesn't it say 'Paid Promotion'???
can i buy hokas in europe ?
Love Hoka and Altra
Hoka vs On?
Their clifton line is part of my permanent rotation. Incredible shoe. 125 dollars is a steal.
My favorite are HOKA & SALOMON.🤞🤞🤞👏👏😘😘😘😘
Never heard of this "fastest growing shoe brand". Then again, I wear hiking boots, not this.
Never heard of Hoka before
Bahut hi aacha hai...yakeen nhi hota ..itna aacha bhi koi kar sakta hai
So....does popularity mean unnecessary increase in price? Oh yeah, supply and demand....
the first i’ve seen or heard of them..
They are expensive in South Africa, i would like to experience them.
That's why Decker stock is so high. 😑
How long will that last with Hokas?
Skechers were the chunky shoes originally? They aren't now. 😂
So far I have not found a pair that is good for my poor feet😢.
I have severe osteoarthritis on both feet.
I'm an avid runner, and Hoka peaked in 2022. It's now declining in popularity for athletes.
Not according to their stock. Been soaring upward since lockdown started
Hokas have some weird indescribable comfiness to me. Theres nothing fancy or new about them tech-wise, they're just balanced. Light, comfy, semi-stylish. I got the Clifton 9 wide version triple black, kinda wish i got the goretex version as I'm living in Northern Ontario. Next time.
A friend of mine has them but I don't wanna spend 100€+ on shoes
Tell Hoka to make an all white Clifton 9s high top
Insightful!
Skip this and get ON running, count my words.
Hoka is helping heal my plantar fasciitis
They're great for hemorrhoids too.
The Nike model of success!🎉
They’re so narrow I tell u. Even their widest fit are narrow and hurt the medial longitudinal arch. Had to sadly return them :(
Never heard of it
Hoka shoes are very comfortable
For the money, I prefer L.L. Bean sneakers, just as comfortable, more durable, cheaper and made in the USA!
They are now at Ross and tjmaxx, and have NEVER caught on with the "urban/hip-hop" i.e. Black/POC community, who universally find them to be generally corny "wypipo wear", so, I won't be shocked when they are gone
How is this a business "strategy"???
I've never heard of these. 😂 This is defenetly an ad.
I must be under a rock. Never heard of these
Because they are the best
That has been said about every brand of shoe.
Made in China. Typical
@@im_agine852 Yeah, but Zuck here got paid to say it.
Expensive here in phillipine 200 DOLLARS plus
Ads are getting smarter- south park
I likes ma Hokas. They are expensive tho.
I love Paragon 😂😂😂😂 oldest brand of India, bachpan se 55 years
Simply the best!
Because people want expensive shit they can't afford, they see celebs wear them and it becomes a trend. No shoes should be £250/$314 just ridiculous price tag. Max I'd spend is like 30-50 quid.
jesus they are expensive, no wonder i never seen them
What's a Hoka?
This is definitely an ad
Somos el mejor pais de chile😁
They also fall apart well just like Nike and adidas
Their shoes have midsoles? No way!
It's the Gymshark leggings of shoewear, made for performance, for real athletes.
The shittiest running shoes I've ever had. DO NOT BUY THIS! After 2 months of running on grass both shoes started tearing and after 10months I had to throw them away. Never ever buying this shitty brand again.
Never heard of them
Yeah they are for anyone over 40
Sheesh comment section is relentlessly negative. My Hokas lasted two years of extreme use in all terrains and conditions. Super pricey, but worth every penny. I got recommended by a former nurse girlfriend who was on her feet all day.
Paid comment.
@@joeybaseball7352 i wish
Why so expensive?
Same way all market caps go up stupid fast? Bag holders!
Is it slave labor that keeps the cost down?
Lol, is this a sponsored ad?
Don't forget about Russ (Hardest Geezer) to RUN THE LENGTH OF AFRICA in this brand... fantastic marketing
Never heard of these
I hate 5 min ads!
Taken away from Nike hahahahaha yeah right no way
Saw the cardiac cath lab nurses wear these during my rotation and got me a pair afterwards. Very comfy and now all the nurses and attendings I see wear this (or On or Nike Vapor Fly).
