thankyou!! i like to try get my point across but try not to ramble on, sometimes it’s hard to explain it without rambling though 😂
@@Joshwaa___ your amazing weather you ramble or not
Agree... and yes another subscriber.
Same here, also just subbed having watched the videos relating to Taylor's E28
A good fabricator, mechanic and welder is like the 4th emergency service.
hahaha that’s me
Nice work as a ex car body repairer the amount of work that goes into repairs regarding rust/rot most people will never understand. Very clean job gets a thumbs up from me. 👍
A man that feels my pain! thankyou!
Josh, when I was a kid in the 70's I spent hours and hours with a damp rag putting out the flames inside cars while my Dad was welding them up with oxy-acetylene... (probably helped my asthma no end) anyway it is so satisfying to watch you shape and form metal and repair the rust just like my father did 50 years ago... a skill I never inherited or learned along the way. Thanks for sharing....
I’ve been in the trade for 30 years and seen it all 🤦🏻♂️.. u keep doing work like that you’re going to never go hungry.. cracking job . Clean tidy .. pat yourself on the back 👍👍👌
I appreciate that ross! thankyou!
As an mx5 owner, I've always been fascinated with rust repairs. Definitely worth a subscribe!
Thanks for the sub!
As a former E28 owner (520i and M535i) and now struggling driveway mechanic, your work is great inspiration, keep it up!
I do appreciate that sir!!
I’m new here but wahoo, this blows my mind! Craftwork like rarely seen!
Thanks for showing the process. Coming from more of a body on chassis world these light unibody cars can seem overwhelming with all of the panel overlaps etc.
Appreciate it!
I just by looking at your videos I'm learning so much about rust repair, I took a welding course a year ago and never welded again, and now I just started welding a friends first car that is very rusty, you motivate me alot to finish it
Glad i can inspire!!!
Arrived here last week through Alex's channel then following taylors car , awesome job you do absolute geek fest for me watching , I was a fabricator / welder for a major vehicle manufacturer for many years and totally agree with your stance on clean metal before welding.. ..an absolute must for a good job ..... keep the videos coming they're awesome
Welcome aboard! glad you’re enjoying it!! appreciate the comment!
Wow, you did an awesome job, thanks for showing the whole story of the process!
You are so welcome!
As someone who is a bit older please ; wear a mask especially when grinding and double especially when removing that old rust and underbody gunk. Micro particles cause absolute havoc with your lungs many years down the line.
Keep up the great content.
i’m terrible ain’t i! i need to up my game!
@@Joshwaa___PPE, yes, fabrication, absolutely not.
You should get an apprentice mate, skills like yours are very hard to find and will always be in demand. A 16-year-old me would have jumped at the chance.
i have been thinking of it! would be great to have a spare pair of hands!
Could do with attacking those brake and fuel lines while that sub frame is down.
Great work!
subframe will be getting removed again!
Good Evening Josh. Your Excellent and Precise Narration of the Progress of this Incredible project is Amasing. Your Fabrication and Detailed Sheet Metal Work is some of the Best i have ever seen. I really am Enjoying your Series of video's that are so Continuity following each other. This vehicle, when you have completed and Finished it to look absolutely Stunning. Taylor, will be absolutely Gobsmacked how Great his rare BMW E28 will be looking.
Wow, thank you! jonathan! you’re the best!!
Extremely neat and tidy work. Factory finish. Always great to see a professional working. You make it looks so easy. And welding the underside of a car is not the easiest of jobs.
Thank you very much! upside down welding is forever the worst!
Great to see this car saved! Great Job!
Alex’s E30 touring is way Worse by looking at YCR videos.
That is a sweet repair job. I've subscribed as your vids are just so good - good background music (which I normally hate), serious workmanship and humour.
Appreciate that!!!! thankyou!
Got here thanks to this rusty pile! I'm fascinated with this sort of content, fabrication an all that. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
New guy here. Working with rust is something i enjoy also. Not enough time to do it as much as I want to. Subbed for more quality content 💪
Thanks you very much!
Dude you are so talented, hats of to you for tackling the job so well
Very satisfying too watch seeing old classics get restored ive got a 2004 Subaru Forester xt turbo and definitely needs welding too rear suspension turrets and likely inner sills aswell put fingers through the turrets 😂🤦♂️ but im determined too save it as theres always worse on the road my dads pal has a 1997 transit smiley its the rustiest van ive ever seen its been welded 10 times
I always wondered how this dark art was performed videos were very interesting thanks.
Bro your work is amazing ❤ I’m definitely coming to see you when I need stuff done Iv got a classic mini that’s in need of a little bit of welding, hopefully we can try getting something done together ❤❤❤ keep up the amazing work bro 🎉🎉
This is like therapy! Very relaxing and satisfying to watch. You are a true craftsman.
thanks!!!
Music to griding noises mix much better 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
That cross from one side to other was cool
haha thanks
So relaxing and it's so nice to look at a car and say you know what safe and sound!!
Couldn't agree more!
Wow what a nice job you wouldn't even know that has been repaired nice one bud
Great to watch a master craftsman at work.
Thankyou sir!
Watching a skilled craftsman ply his (or her) trade is a beautiful and joyous thing to see. Please keep making these videos 🙏🏼🙏🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Excellent work, with some great top tips thrown in .keep up the great work 👍can’t wait till the next episode 🤣
More to come!
This makes me seriously want a unit and a ramp! Been doing this kind of work on my back with axle stands for years and its horrendous! Great work mate!
thankyou! i refuse to work on the floor anymore haha
Great video with excellent fabrication and welding skills too.
Glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant again you have a gift to be able to fabricate and repair like you do keep on doing it I’m so impressed 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I try my best!
Outstanding work mate.
Brilliant vid again... really enjoyed that. Amazing work.
Thankyou!!
Came from Auto Alex channel to follow Taylor’s car, new subscriber and notifications turned on! Will be watching other videos on your channel too, keep up the good work buddy love the content 👍🏻
Hero! thankyou buddy!! very much appreciated!
Great video. I haven’t heard of Gravitex before. Would you recommend it on the underneath of a fairly newish car to preserve the underneath and slow down potential rust?
Great video. Great welding skills. Great channel. So much detailed explanation of what you are doing is brilliant 👍
i try to do it in a way where i’m not rambling haha
Absolutely mesmerising to watch
Great work mate, I like the welding work from start to finish it's the transition between rot then not rot.
kinda therapeutic to watch huh’
Top top quality work mate, looks amazing 👌👌
Thank you 👍
Absolutely awesome, wish I had the skills to do this.
Made a rainy miscible morning spectacular! Very nice work
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's class work man👌
Great job so far Josh well done 👏 👍

An excellent fabrication job! Taylor will be happy!!

Great to see the process and skills in this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loving the channel m8 great content!!
Glad you enjoy it!
Loving the welding work love the welding content keep up the good workmanship mate 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, will do!
Holy moly my guy putting in WORK!
Someone’s gotta!
Lots of great tips and impressive video skills with just a phone. Really puts in perspective the amount of work involved in rusty s### boxes.
thankyou!!!
Another great video. Have a good week. Marc from Australia.
Thanks marc from Australia 😎
Increadable welding quality .. are you self taught? The difference between the bodged welded repairs and your repairs is amazing. Stunning work on one of the best cars ever made...
Mainly self taught yes!!
thankyou!!
Wow.. I've subscribed anyway and look forward to seeing much more top quality repairs made..
I've watched a lot of dodgy repairs on CZcams but you have got welding skills and fabricating to match. I am looking forward to you getting more kit and streamlining the process. I watch YCR , and love their reuse of railway track. Actually really useful chunks of steel. Their sculpture of steel tubes of all sizes for curvy bends is clever. My BMW live started with Dad's 1602, then I bought a 2002 Touring, a tii mk2, a 528 then a genuine M535 for £500 😂, I now drive a G22 M4, wish I had a workshop.
Great vid, great repair…respect 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im also a new subscriber. Fascinating videos mate ill be following the progress! Nice workmanship marra!
thankyou!!! appreciate that! enjoy your stay!
Well it's no Yorkshire Car Restoration job, but it does look like a solid repair.
Yeah i’d hope they would be better than me seeing as that’s their specialty haha, Rust repairs aren’t my first choice of work in the workshop, but i can get it done!
I've seen this a few times where a channel i watch subs out some work to a different channel, now usually i wouldn't bother watching, BUT! I seem to have a soft spot for this thing and i like watching you work man, new sub and im sure ill watch future projects 👍🏼
Appreciate that! i know what you mean too!!
So far doing a great job keep it up oh and by the way love this channel
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the underseal info 👍 look forward to the full underside getting done. Do you use cavity wax?
Yes we do!
Top work! Be careful with your hearing though, noise cancelling does not equal noise protection
Thanks for the tip!
Another awesome video bro! Love it!
🫶🏻🫶🏻
another great video as usual, good to see the views getting up there :)
Ahh it’s a good feeling! thanks man!
Awesome repairs and nice to see someone taking pride in their work.if you have a "one beyond" shop near you they do 3 1in brushes for a £1 👍
Good tip, we don’t but yeah, i need some of them as the big brushes in the multipacks i get are pretty rubbish haha
Great stuff mate just your tacks were miles better than the previous RePair😂
i wish i could of replicated that great repair, clearly i am not good enough!
Awesome work on that beast of a car.
I'm sure the previous owner is proud of the work you're putting into it..... as Taylor is too.
Now....... about my E28...... ;)
i have e28 depression already haha
Bloody good job Josh, just watched both episodes of Taylor's Beemer, had to sub the channel.
Some really good tips in this one, but what impressed me most was the way you used the mig light as a maulstick to get an even seam weld, it was so good right upto the point you set fire to it, hahahahaha. No but seriously I recommend using a mig light where possible, but using it the way you do is great advise to anyone.
Awesome, thank you! appreciate the sub!
Josh - how much does this cost to get done approximately? Always intrigued re: costs for welding and adjusting.
I find these so entertaining almost relaxing to watch (probably the exact opposite of actually doing it lol), such a sweet repair tho 👌
You’ve nailed it on the head there 🤣🤣
Nice job mate, been watching you do the Sierra, I'm an old bastard with stuffed lungs, please wear a mask to protect yourself.
Ok so from now on any welding I need doing I'm going to you, fantastic work amazing 👍
Is Gravitex good for underselling/protecting newer cars too? Is it only good over primer or can it be put straight on after wire brushing?
good or everything! it’s very good at doing it all, which is why i like to use it
Sills on a 2 post lift are not a good idea, I have done some then, when the car is back on the floor the doors don't shut lol. 4 post is the way, even if you have to borrow one to get some good tacks in.
This is some awesome content! You are showing people what you can do with little professional tools! Quick question, on 13:22 there seems to be a hole left ob the subframe mount, or am i going insane?
you’re going insane :)
Amazing work !
Excellent vids, thank you! What would the actual consumer price for work like that be?
thankyou!!
Rust repair is usually done on an hourly rate!
Hi i might have a silly question, so if i understood correctly, the primer you have can be welded over? Why not then paint the patch panel beforehand, so that when you weld it in place its covered with primer on the other side aswell?
Cheers
Good question
Yh silly question
The surface that your welding to needs to be clean to weld to , you can't weld over any paint he only painted the inside to protect it as I can't paint the inside after
I painted the inside of the panel before welding, then painted it after i welded it, it is weld through but there is nothing better than a clean bit of unpainted metal to weld to, even if it is “weld through”
Love your work, I would be interested how much this would cost a regular paying customer and would it be viable ? ….. of course “content” and exposure is priceless
Well done josh it looks good
thank you!
Excellent repair
Thanks 👍
Followed across from Tailor, glad i did, Quality Work ......
Welcome aboard!
Hi Josh. Loved the video thank you for sharing with us. I’m actually considering giving you a call about the sills on my classic Mini!
Out of curiosity, how long did the repairs in this video take you?
Thanks for watching! it’s a lengthy process and defo a lot on camera that isn’t seen, trying to tackle the video and make it interesting and be good enough is hard too haha
Terrific video, I’m sure your underseal product is great, but that vintage BMW should have the sand/beige coloured underseal. I spent years touching up the underseal on my M3 with black… only when I had the underside sandblasted did I find the true colour.
Nice work 👍 better than factory and stronger
Wow, thanks!
Love your recent videos
Thanks!!
Fantastic workmanship. 👌🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job. Please repair more old BMWs and Alfa Romeos. Thanks.
That's the plan!
Impressive! Nice work. 👍🏻🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
- Do you work with CAD?
- Yeah, i do! Cardboard Aided Design 🤣
Came from Autoalex's channel, but in for the E21. I used to have one, sorely, sorely miss it still! You work is great, where are you based?
Thanks for coming over! there’s a video on the e21 monday! i’m in Cambridgeshire
Quality work mate 👌🏾
Thanks you !!
