Boy I miss these early videos, and vintage blocks, 😉 things didn’t have to be perfect, your Mickey Mouse watch, easy breezy uncomplicated manner, and vintage blocks! Ive learned so much over the years with your videos. . . Even Your cutting mat looks like mine. I Finally got a new one! Those were simpler days when You didn’t have to have the most expensive irons, gadget’s, perfect everything. You just needed a good pattern and cute fabric. It was fun watching this again. Like visiting an old friend,
I have been watching your tutorials for a long time now. They are all fantastic ... This one was up-loaded approximately 10 years ago. Love to go back and re-watch them. You were a great teacher back then and still are today. Don't ever stop teaching us all the things you have learned. A newbie or a seasoned quilter can always learn something new or how to do an old pattern an easier and quicker way. God bless you.
So glad I found your videos. I watch them while I am making the project. Helps me with the project. And I have been quilting for almost 25 years.
I was glued to these videos for years. I'm so happy they are still here.
💁🏻♀️Awwwww 🥰, i love seeing these older videos...I remember loving you then and i just keep lovin you more ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this wonderful video! Classic Jenny - clear, concise, creative, warm, friendly, and inviting.
No unnecessary stuff, just what you need. ❤️
Jenny I love this video. I hope this is one that you remake this year for your anniversary. I know the points are classic, but I'd love to see how to do them with round fan blades
I've never done a quilting in my life. But after I watching your tutorial I think ill be so addictive to quilting instead of cross stitching. Love your all works.
Jenny, you are amazing! Talented AND willing to share so much knowledge. You have saved me more than $100 tonight!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Wow... found this video..! You've been sharing all your knowledge for 12 years... !! Thank you...
YEARS ago I inherited a pre-cut fabric quilt kit. I didn't know at the time it was a Dresden Plate quilt. I started with sewing all the "petals" together then stopped because there were no instructions! Now I know what to do with it!! And it will be a queen size quilt for my grandson soon to be on his way to college.
Thank YOU Joan was given templates at quilting group but not instructions you are a Godsend for beginners at quilting. Xx
MSQC is always the way to go for a really good step by step and easy to follow tutorial! Thank you!
Awesome, Cathylee Melchin!! We love positive comments like this!! :)
Wow Jenny, your channel had evolved so much, but you're still so endearing. I love your tutorials.
I just wanted to compliment jenny on how much she has improved the way she does tutorials. I don't really quilt, but I enjoy watching her tutorials a lot, she's fun and watching her quilt just cheers me up a lot.
I didn't think I would ever have a go at a Dresden plate but I think I just might now. Thanks Jenny :)
I think I like the "old" Jenny better. But I truly love this tutorial on Dresdens. And the camera angle on this older tutorial is wonderful. So much easier to see what you're doing.
Never in my wildest dream did I ever think I could make this block. After watching the tutorial, I think I can. What a wonderful learning tool this is. Love this site!
Love you right back! You can do it!
My Grandmother made Dresden Plate quilts. I remember them on our beds when I was a little girl. Grandma would make them from our worn out clothes. She even made one using old neck ties! Recently I made the baby quilt from one of your 4 part tutorials. It wasn't difficult at all, thanks to you! Now I am ready to start this Dresden Plate technique. Once again, you've made it look do-able! I can't wait to get started! Thank you Jenny for making these wonderful tutorials! I simply love them.
I watch a lot of tutorials on sewing/quilting for inspiration and to learn. This is the second Dresden tutorial I have seen and this is the way I envisioned doing it. My obsession is half square triangles, but I am wanting to branch out a bit and try the Dresden. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Jenny!
You made the Dresden Plate look easy. I'm going to try it this weekend. My husband always wants me to sit and watch TV with him a few hours at night. I can do the handwork and make my hubby happy at the same time.
I am NEW to quilting but have completed the blades for 2 complete dresdens and I am HOOKED. I love it I have to finish them. I LOVE MSQC! You are my FAVORITE! GO, Jenny!
How times have changed!! I watched this today and was amazed that you hand-sewed the pieces. I've made a few Dresden plates and, except for one project with only two plates, have sewn all the pieces on the background with my sewing machine. I would never have the patience to hand-sew them on enough blocks for a whole quilt! and I like the look of using a blanket stitch around the edges.
I love how u have such simple snd easy tips that saves time and still has a great end block. Ty so much for making quilting enjoyable
Thank you for this tutorial. It made something that looks difficult so easy. I can't wait to try it!
I did it...I never sew before and I did my first dresden..Thank you so much for your tutorial.
I just finished the Sunburst Dresden from your tutorial... I think I will add these small ones all around the quilt. Thank you for some great ideas! :)
Dresdens might be my favorite. Thank you for sharing
Thanks. You always make those hard to do bocks, easy and doable.
So glad you're enjoying the tutorials! :)

I never thought I would make a dresden plate quilt, but after watching your tutorial I had to start one and it is going great! Thank you for all your tutorials.
I love you guys! You share, and then of course, I buy more. Thank you for answering questions I didn't even know I had!
Nice video. I was watching someone doing a half of one of these, which I thought might be cute on a purse. They were doing decorative stitching on it, and I didn't catch how they put it together in the first place. You're a good instructor. Nice to listen to. Thanks !
I'm new to quilting and a friend did her first dresden plate. She sent me this link. This is the best tutorial I've seen. No need to look elsewhere. Thank youso much! I can't wait to get started.
I am new to quilting and I have been SO drawn to this pattern and I kind of chuckled when you said you never thought you would make one.
I never thought I’d be able to make a Dresden plate either before this. Thank you for posting! You are a good teacher.
Thank you , I am half way through mine right now. You are a clear instructor; and you have helped me a lot.
I love the Dresden plate tutorial because it was my first attempt at something more than blocks and the tutorial made it so easy. Thanks!
Thank you ! Have you ever tried sewing a used fabric softner sheet behind your circle ? It makes awesome appliqués ! Just make a little slit on the sheet and turn it inside out !...and press !!
I had forgotten about using those used softener sheets! I’m rewatching Jenny as it’s been quite a few years since making my first one and I made several mistakes (that no one even mentioned a better way) back then. I love MSQC!!!
As always, a great tutorial!! I just got another order in today with some bright “happy” fabric. I thought it would look so pretty with some other fabrics I have. By the way, I really love the personal cards in each order. Thank you to the MSQ family for making each order so special.
Nice tutorial. Needed brushing up on how to do this. Thanks for the lesson!
I can do this! Just watching you, Jenny, gave me the confidence to try this lovely block. I love handwork, but have never done any appliqué. Thank you!
I have watched many tutorials on different sewing projects.
BUT have to say your one is by far the BEST to watch as well as listen to .
Very easy to follow visuals and easy to follow vocals .
LOVE IT AND CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE ONE !!!
Will have a look at some more of you videos for sure :D
Thank you so much x
I have an old picture of my grandma's Dresden plate. it is on 4 wooden boards stretch all out for quilting. it looks fun
After watching your tutorial many times, I have just finished the dresden plate quilt top made from 'Happy Go Lucky" fabric and hope to have it quilted in the coming weeks. Thank you for such a great tutorial and for explaining the process so simply. You are a wonderful teacher.
Thank you jenny; You sure made made my day, now I can go back to my sewing room & start my Dresden Plate,. You are so gifted, Margaret Rose
Thank you. It makes me feel better. I looked at it and I think it is the outside I can get to lay flat and with the center circle, it will look good. Appreciate your advice!
Can't wait to try this quilt. I will try to make my own template, Jenny is just the best instructor. I've watched about 50 of the Missouri Quilt Co. videos. they are all great.
I am new to CZcams and I meant to give a thumbs up to the last comment. So sorry.
Anyway I totally agree with you. Great instructional video. She goes slow enough for beginners to follow and is very good at explaining how to do each step. I'm inspired!
Thanks for the tutorial. I just started to quilt and making a Dresden block seemed like something impossible . I'm confident ill be able to make one now. I'm very excited .
OMG I think I can do this perhaps out of a layer cake!!! Thank you so very much, you have given me hope to quilt again. After my husband passed I thought I wouldn't so anymore as I had lost my partner of sewing and shop hops! I lost a lot I cant go buy fabric anymore but I have a lot that I can sew. Thank you I have went through your videos I have some good ideas now. Was hoping to find a Lone Star from you. The other here are not good or at least the people doing are boring!!! Thanks again.
Thanks so much for watching! And so glad you have "hope to quilt" again!
I just love watching your old videos! :)
I had no idea that a Dresden plate "block" would be so easy to make. I can't wait to try it! Thx!
I made my 2nd quilt using this tutorial. Thank you so much for your AWESOME tutorials. My dresden turned out beautiful and I am getting ready to start my next one! I love ordering from your shop. Very fast shipping!
I've been surfing YT for a good beginners quilting video, and I think this is the BEST! Thank you so much for this clear, concise tutorial!
I loved this tutorial. I am so encouraged to try it! Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. Blessings.
I've bought the fabric, I've bought the ruler, but still didn't understand what to do, UNTIL I watched your video. Thank you so much. A picture is always worth 1000 words, but a video is worth a billion bucks!
I love your videos. They are unbelievable easy and confident building. Thank you Michelle Bustamante

Thank you :) going to put one of these in the middle of a pincushion.
I came back to this tutorial today because I had a dream about the Dresden plate...now isn't that funny? It must be a sign, so I am going to make one for Spring using different shades of yellows and tan/brown for the center face. Thanks Jenny, you make everything so easy, even the outlook on life. Huggles to you!
Thank you so much for the easy to follow tutorial.
As always perfect tutorial .Thank you Jenny

Thanks Jenny. You have so many good ideas for quilting projects and you make it so easy to follow.
Just completed my Dresden Plate and it was so fun! I used a Kashmir V charm pack and it looks great. Thanks for posting the tutorial.
I am so glad I found your tutorials on CZcams. I love your "epiphanies", makes me think I can do a larger variety of blocks. I'm going to try the easy 1/2 square triangles with a carpenter's star block.
Never had the courage to do a Dresden till date. But now I will

I have completed the dresdan plate and I am over the moon! Can't wait to make a table runner for my best friend. Your videos are great. Can we have more please?

I first watched this tutorial several years ago and learned to make the Dresden plate. Since that time I've made a lot of them and still love that pattern. Thank you so much for your tutorials they are awesome, just as you are awesome.
Happy Thanksgiving
Janet
Thank you for the information. Always love your tutorials .
So excited to try this. Thanks for making it easy.
Great tutorial! I am very new to quilting. Still getting all my supplies to start my first project and I have to say ALL of your videos have been so informative. Thank you!
I've just used this tutorial (and my Dresden tool) to make a couple of pillows for newborn twins! Thank you so much for the video, I'm really happy with how my Dresden pillows turned out. One is a sun and one is a star :)
That's a really bad suffocation hazard for them.
+lucyjayjw Do you think she's going to let the kids sleep with the pillows?
i love it!!!!i'm going to give this a try, this will be my first time at sewing, it looks lovely and thank you so much.
Ohmagosh!! I'm a beginning quilter and always admired this pattern, but it looks a bit complicated to me, so figured it would be a long time before I could tackle one of these. But your tutorial is fabulous and I'm dying to start on one. I think the Dresden is soooo pretty!! Thank you so much!
I always enjoy your tutorials and I always learn from them!
Thank you so much Jenny. I feel inspired by this and always learn something new from your tutorials, it looked so difficult I would never have attempted a dresden before
My hats off to you girls at Missouri Star Quilts. Now that I have satellite internet, I'm finally able to watch your tutorials. Fabulous. Thank you for all the help you give us quilt-a-holics. :-)
SOO COOL!
Hi Jenny. Another great and informative tutorial. I bought this ruler some time back from your company and now I feel inspired and educated enough to actually give it a try. Love all your tutorials. Please keep them coming. You have taught so many of us and you make it seem so doable. Thanks! Hugs, Suzy
Sorry, I should have added that I love your work - your dresden plates are really fab.

I just love watching these easy to follow videos!! Missouri quilting company rocks!!
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I'm new to quilting and have been wanting to start my Dresden Plate quilt, but was a little daunted by the edges of the petals, but I'm so excited about the petal tip! :)
Excellent tutorial! I've been wanting to replicate a Dresden Plate quilt my grandmother had, after watching your tutorial I am much more confident I can do it. Lois Heron
I love this video as I'm just learning how to make a 1/4 dreden plate block with a heart to close in blade ends. I am using your technique and hopin I get it right.
Bravissima grazie con te sto imparando moltissime cose
Ti auguro tanta felicità ❤️elena Italy
This has inspired me to go look in my fabric stash and pull out some fabrics and have a go. I like the template too so will look on line to buy one. Thanks so much for sharing your love of fabric.
You are absolutely amazing!!! I watched all your tutorials on your Dresden projects and made two Dresden turkey's in a weekend. I followed the first turkey you made. I couldn't find the pattern, I think because you did the video so long ago and I'm just jumping on the quilting wagon now. So I just made the body, face and feet templates out of cardboard and voila a turkey lol. Thank you so much!! I live you gals xoxo. I wish I could post a pic of my turkey but don't know how. I'm sure if I could get my 9 year old to sit with me long enough she would know how! Thanks again!
Love your tutorials you make look so easy
That was great. I have never made a Dresden pate as it looked so complicated... Can't wait to give it a try. Thanks !!!!!!
What a great idea! I was just pondering how to do this and searched and found this (one of your many great tutorials ).Thank you
I love your videos they are so easy to follow and you give such great tips. Thank you so much for making them for us.
You and this channel never cease to completely amaze me ! I've taught myself to quilt, mainly from your awesome videos ! Thanks again
Thank you, I just made my first Dresden plate and as this wouldn´t be enough I handsewed it. And I really hate handsewing. I made a paper template because its hard to get one of yours here in Germany on a saturday night. I am so proud and I think I put it on a pillow. Thank you very much.
