This eflite f15 is truly one of your best edfs in my opinion as well as affordable and very simple to fly. You all make some amazing products no doubt! Thank you all for you great customer support and all your hard work!

I used fibreglass tape to re attach the nose section to the body at the field and works great.

Happened to my F15 on launch. I am handicapped so its difficult for me.
Tried to fix it, but that did not work. I wish i still had one, i liked it a lot.

I use bamboo kitchen skewers and sharpen both ends. Also a little flexible which helps.

Could of done with this a few years back when HH/PZ released their first Habu EDF jet, also my first EDF,bad landing i guess and the nose snapped off, fixed to what i though at the time was a good job, only to come back after the epoxy had gone off and the nose was some what bent lol, live and learn, still have it and fly it would you believe and often look for another blank fuse but no luck. 😏😞
Thanks for sharing HH,much love and respect from another RC pilot in the UK.

Keeping the excess epoxy is extremely important. It's a no brainer for me, but I usually use Loctite epoxy that comes with a stir/apply stick and spatula combination as well as a cup. The stir stick and cup have some sort of coating that's non stick to epoxy so they're re-usable.

I love my F-15 it's a blast to fly, however it has developed a slight whine at times any clue what that might be? I'll fly it till it dies! I absolutely love this plane it flies awesome!

Great job on the fix I crashed mine also.

I have a "currently crashed" F-15 (same Eflite 64) and it seems they all break the same way. My stepson (no hard feelings, we were both learning EDFs) nosed mine in hard. The damage was in the same area, but much more extensive. A couple of inches from just aft of the intake L.E., to about the centerline of the pilot was reduced to foam beads. Not a puzzle I wanna put back. Solution? Bite bullet, buy fuselage, graft on new front end. The question is this: since I'm going to have to sever the entire front from the bottom of the intake forward, what are everyone's

I had similar damage to mine when I went full WOT into the ground :( Mine broke at the same spot, but also damaged my intakes and kinda cut into the intake part of the fuse. Using Hot Glue, I never got the nose quite back to being straight, but it still flew! (Until it decided to fly into a tree, but I got it back 17 hours later with minimal damage!)

Great video! Can I ask what size carbon rod you were using so that I don't order the wrong size? Thanks much

Sorry, everyone's thoughts about using bamboo skewers (Hail Flite Test!) In place of carbon fiber? I have the bamboo, and it's incredibly resilient for its weight, and carbon fiber gets proxy if it isn't really required....Opinions?

First 1 got 5 flights before going to foamy heaven , fixed 2 times 3rd was not fixable fell from sky 50 seconds short of timer

LOL All our fears! My wing edges look like yours and I've wondered how to fill those gaps. And where does a person get carbon rods? My viper wing is cracking to from those bouncy landings.

I have a quick question how come the one that is being fix is missing the tip on the right rudder in the beginning of the video then at the end the one that is being flow has it on it? So did that have to be fixed as well? Or you just replaced the plane with a newer one in the flight video!!!

    • @zubuxstein
      @zubuxstein Před 4 lety

You are looking way too much into it. At 8:34 of the video shows a missing piece from the right wing, the same piece missing on the fix airplane.

I see this bird broke a lot from trivial things. Many you tubers are putting that nose together. I've now had mine snap 3 times, yes on error. But seriously a porpoise shouldn't break the nose. I've seen harder landings with other f15s and no issues.

Funny when he rolls it over to continue gluing he states not as much material. Perfect design choice there Eflite, use less foam at a high stress area. #designfail

Please put spars the full linear length..!

It's a good idea to wear gloves when working with epoxy, as it can irritate the skin.
