Lol it’s sitting in my cart waiting for me to pull the trigger🤣. I just bought the viper and haven’t flown it yet. Nerves man, nerves lol. I like the way you make videos. You don’t just go all out you do slow flights then fast and you show the things us newbs need to see and know. Right now I’m still flying my 1.2 timber but I here this f15 is quite controllable as well. I’ve wanted a jet for many years and now with safe and AS3X they make it possible but you tubers like you also make it possible. I’m subscribing to you now. Please continue to do what you do and show us everything from mild to wild. A lot of you tubers are balls to the wall and that doesn’t help those of us who want to get into the hobby bc you think you have to go that fast to be able to fly and that’s intimidating to most. Thx again for all you do!
I totaled mine doing low altitude ailerons rolls on high rates. I salvaged the electronics and ordered replacement airframe parts for the FMS F15 Eagle from Motion RC. Replacement parts were cheaper than from Horizon and I got the paint scheme that I wanted in the first place. With the receiver mounted where the nose gear servo used to be and the absence of the big glob of glue filling the front nose cavity and with the battery full aft, the airplane flies much better than it did when it was new.
@@MerryBoozerRC yeah I see that. I was watching a few other CZcams videos just now to see where other people are putting their battery and both times they didn’t even push it back at all, just placed it the hole up front. Their flights seemed fine. I’m going to go with your suggestion
You should it really doesn’t need the wheels do safe on a switch so you can turn it off after take off. Use safe for your toss and have it at full throttle she flys right out almost on her own. Then turn safe off and party hard. I use safe on landing not because I need it but it’s just nice 👍. Remember to push your 2200 4s pack all the way back in the battery tray if you have it forward it flys like 💩
the CoG further back - hm, i hope you keep in mind that this works only if you fly with Spektrum´s AS3X, im not sure this bird would launch so easy if you choose the pnp version and do it with a normal rx...just sayin
Cameo by the club Pres! At first I thought it was Poppa Boozer sporting a spiffy new outfit but then......hmmmm when is that guy going to notice he is a movie star?
The jet suffers from severe wing slop at high speeds, don't even try banking it, will wobble up and down bad. Its somewhat anemic, noticed how much altitude it lost when he threw it, almost hit the deck, so as you keep flying, some of those hand toss, will not be so lucky, don't ask me how I know. The Safe Select is cake when landing, but for normal flying, if selected, it WILL NOT turn, the plane will keep flying straight, and if done when is going away from you, its gone...The receiver is glued! WTF?
what are your rates and do you have expo added iam a new pilot and trying to get some tips thanks love your videos and its really cool that your family supports your hobby/life thanks from Burlington,VT
Took your advice on battery placement when I got this plane, the thing is, our runway is dirt and I really don't want to tear it up. So I left the gear on. This plane needs alot of runway to get off the ground. Wonder how it hand launches with the gear on. ?
And launch is really easy just make sure he at full power when you throw it and have it in safe mode and almost flight self out your hand the gear won’t make any difference for it
Merry Boozer RC I ordered a turnigy 4s 2200 today off eBay. My timber 1.2 recommends a 4s as well and it has done great on a 3s but I’m certain a 4s will wake it up! The reason for ordering the 4s today was mostly for the f-15 I will try both tho. It wasn’t as expensive as I thought it was gonna be I believe I paid $38 total but I have quite a few 3s 2200’s on hand so that was convenient. But you are right it will perform better on the 4s. According to Fedex the f-15 will be here tomorrow I’m excited. I hope it’s fairly simple to fly 🤞. Thanks again for the reply. And keep doing what you do!
Hello Merry Boozers 🤙🏻 Hey Wesley... Do you think ?? It can be hand launched with its ordnance package on ?? I painted my ordnance pods bright orange to see better 😂
Greetings, very good video, I wanted to ask you how difficult it is to fly it, it is very sensitive, very acrobatic, or is it allowed to maneuver, I have so far flown pure high-wing and delta-wing aircraft but I would like to try one of these, I would appreciate your opinion.
What brand 4s battery were you using? I am somewhat new to the hobby and my first jet. And tried my maden flight last week. By hand launching it. It came stright down after five feet or so. It set my cg right at 88mm like the book says using a venom 4s 2200 mha. And a 3s 2200.
On 4s it n safe mode with the battery pushed all the way back in the battery compartment with full throttle it should fly out really easily. I think I was flying on admiral 4s 2200 but your venom batteries should be fine. They are a fantastic brand now if this one is to nose heavy she will pancake
Merry Boozer....how can you slide it all the way back when their is a foam block sticking up keeping it from sliding back any further than an inch and a quarter or so?
@@MerryBoozerRC there are two short raised stubs on the bottom that keeps the battery from sliding back to far unless you lift the bat up and slide over the top of it.
The p-15 lipish is faster and flight time is longer. But the F-15 is bigger and much easier to see. They are completely different planes as far as flight characteristics but if I can only choose one and the price wasn’t the issue I’d probably get the F 15
@@MerryBoozerRC Yep, I know the issue with visibility with the Lippisch... I've painted the wings in signal orange and it's still hard to see ;) - Thanks for the details, I really like these small Toss and Boss edf's and will certainly get another one next to my P.15 and the 70mm FMS Scorpion.
A-Jay Zimmerman in safe mode you cold probably fly it but it wouldn’t be what I would recommend. Really you shouldn’t start with any jet. I recommend getting realflight simulator for your computer get good at flying on there first then start with a beginner friendly plane.

👋👋👋 to know on hand launching! I'll try mine out Tuesday! 👍
I can’t wait to get mine. Awesome work dude. 🤙
Lol that was the most obscene landing. Put these receivers in all my toss and boss jets, which is most of them - SAFE is a godsend for hand launching.
Cool flying slow with the nose up like that. I have to try that when mine arrives.
Definitely high alpha is really fun

Ha I'm doing the same thing, I just have to wait for the fms parts to come back in stock, can't wait for the gray scheme!
Wow that landing blew me away!!
Love the look of that plane. Great video as always man.
I flew this one for my buddy it actually flew pretty good for the size the safe select it stabilization does work good surprised how easily it landed
U r seriously good pilot !!
Thank you 😊
You answered my question in the first ten seconds. Amazing.
I haven’t flown it yet but wondered where the cg was with the 2300 4S.
Thanks
All the way back lol 😂

Great landing. Thanks
WOW, One of the best videos i've seen in a while. Great job.
Looks like it flys great I always enjoy eflite products great right out of the box
E-flite opterra is horrible
E-Flite Has some really good planes I actually liked my opterra but that plane wasn’t for everyone. She was a big girl
I love it! I’ve got one but haven’t flown it yet due to nose wheel steering problems. I’m going to pull the gear off and toss it!

Great flying plane 👍. Love your videos and passion. Going to add the 15 on the want list. Hard to put the UMX TIMBER down. 🤐😀💝
This is my favorite by far although I do know it's a more expensive one but looks like it is worth it to me 😁. ✌🏼😎✌🏼
Now I need the new F-16 that came out yesterday
It’s actually not more expensive.
It’s only $198 bnf

I had the sky camo I didn't realize that when you plug the battery in in Safe you have to have the plane level I turned on safe it nosed in 😝

For this airplane I don’t use any expo. I also fly on 100 % elevator travel and 100 % alarons with as3x on you need 100 % travel
ich habe meinen Erstflug noch vor mir , fliegt ihr mit Expo ?
Oh ya
i love it

Looks like your club President needed some air time. Great flight. Are these compatible with Futaba Tx?
You can perches the PNP version of it and add your Futaba TX. But the as3x receiver only works with spektrum
What if your using a 2200 3s? It will except either. Slide it back just as far as well?
It would be under powered I recommend strongly 4s 2200

Yep full throttle with safe and if you have a friend have them toss it for you
next plane....
Hey nice flying. What kind of material is the runway made off? i would like to get one for my club as well.
It’s the stuff used to keep grass from growing at the greenhouse. It’s called geotech

It’s actually a relatively easy but still a jet. If you fly it with high rates it rolls like a drill bit

Sweet plane!
have you seen the new F-16 version now from E-flite?
Yep looks awesome need one of them now two lol
@@MerryBoozerRC
Right! get one!
Merry Boozer....how can you slide it all the way back when their is a foam block sticking up keeping it from sliding back any further than an inch and a quarter or so?
My 2200 slides back so far you can’t even see it anymore strange I don’t recall ever seeing a stop in it???
@@MerryBoozerRC there are two short raised stubs on the bottom that keeps the battery from sliding back to far unless you lift the bat up and slide over the top of it.
To be honest I will have to look at mine it slides past the battery hatch opening on mine I do know that and it’s a high Alfa machine now
Great vid! How does it compare to the P.15 in flight time and speed?

Your c.g. location - is it within the manual specs or aft ?
I push the 2200 4s all the way aft on it can’t remember the cg measurements
Can this f15 fly as slow as the f16 70mm with out staling it? Is that Corsair a 1600mm
No the E-Flight F-16 is still the king of High Alpha and yes the Corsair we uploaded this week was a 1600
Merry Boozer RC thanks for the response
