Mount Wilson - Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas, NV

Mount Wilson is, I believe, the high point of the Red Rock Canyon area west of Las Vegas Nevada. I went up First Creek but there are other (I think more challenging) routes up. However, up first creek is a slog with lots of boulder obstacles that seem to be never ending, then a steep trail up to the ridge.

The Wilson slog!!!! 😂 There’s multiple other routes to Wilson that are much more technically engaging. With your skill they’d be right up your alley. Like anywhere, the more time you spend in Red Rock the more you can appreciate how AWESOME it is.

yes I read Stav's beta up the other drainage to the north (forget the name) but it seemed like without fixed ropes it could've gotten tough or too sketchy, so opted for the basic way
