FACTS I know it was the wwe golden era and there were a lot of goofy and colorful type of gimmicks but the repo man was literally a gimmick were he “REPOED” wrestlers cars away because they didn’t pay their taxes.
Bron Breakker can be a great legend killer. Similar to Randy, someone who grew up around the business aren’t intimidated by the legends and know all their weaknesses.
100% Bron vs Randy would be an epic match. Passing of the torch & could potentially be his big chase, knocking off anyone with a decent reputation/history proving himself he deserves that Randy match!
glad I wasn't the only one thinking it. Have him start saying everyone after his dads generation were soft, he grew up with real tough guys and he's going to show how soft they are.

The best WWE rapper is R Truth, they been letting him come out and spit a bit more lately as he walks down to the ring. I've heard Truth's albums and they are not half bad.

It really is a testament to Barry Darsow that he could transform from one half of Demolition and be all big and brutish to the Repo Man, this smaller over the top character. That is talent right there.
Ngl I have thought of that second coming of the legend killer a lot. That would be fantastic
They should bring back the evil clown gimmick
Bring back the “Savage from a faraway land”, like the Ugandan Giant Kamala, Wild Samoans, or George the Animal Steele. The typical unstoppable force impervious to pain and can be used for classic comedy trope of “the fish out of water”.
Plus, Repo Man isn’t a bad guy, he’s just doing his job.

Simon Dean was such a wasted concept. ESPECIALLY in the current influencer/IG age. He was the wrong kind of person cast as it, you needed someone who was way more Tony Perkis/White Goodman sinister, cruel main villain.
I feel like Gargano and his wife started to do this down in NXT before they added the "kids" to "The Way". The obnoxious podcast/IG couple is low hanging fruit for cheap heat in 2024.
Retro ups and downs is a great gimmick to bring back

Back when i wrestled the indies in europe, there was a guy playing Johnny bravo, he even had a knockoff theme song like the show.
It shouldnt have worked but somehow he made it, the crowds were into it, his in character promos were absolute fire, and he was good worker in the ring

I remember his real name was Petur, he was really chill and had visions of taking the character worldwide, eventually WWE.

They need to bring back the security/bodyguard. Yes, some wrestlers have big guys in their stable but they’re not sold as employed as security. Loved APA how wrestlers would just pay them for one off fights

I honestly think Bron Breakker would be a good candidate for the new Legend Killer. Or even Baron Corbin or Josh Briggs from NXT. Josh has that energy and look of someone who’d want out with the old and in with the new.
I would love for the truck driver gimmick to return.The only way that'll work is if someone actually drove trucks either before they were a wrestler.Or did so as a side gig.

Simon, if you’re still in the US by then, at the end of the month/early June, there’s an anime convention going on at my job. And there’s a local wrestling promotion (MEGA Championship Wrestling) doing a show there, where the wrestlers are cosplaying. I think you should talk to them about getting booked and then wrestle as The Repo Man!

Did anyone doubt Repo Man would be on the list. By the way, Simon Dean wasn't the only one to use the fitness character gimmick. Remember the Bodydonnas (Sunny and Skip aka Tammy Sytch and Chris Candido).

Gimmicks that are better left in the past;
1. Clowns: Matt Borne as Doink was one of a kind, and anything else would be a ripoff.
2. Superheroes: what may work in countries like Mexico and Japan can only come across here as WTF. At least I think so. Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee are exceptions, though.
3. Politicians and bureaucrats: do we really need another JBL or IRS?
4. Ethnic stereotypes: especially if we're at war with the foreign dictator. I mean, having an Israeli colonel enter the ring is just asking for trouble.
Honestly I feel like Kevin Thorn would've done fine in today's WWE because we had Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross NXT version, Edge bringing back the Brood, Demon Finn Bálor, the Judgement Day in general, Kane and Taker's longevity, and all of these people did great so yeah Kevin Thorn could've been doing wonders in WWE today who knows. Maybe a vampire stable with Edge and Gangrel and they could've faced the Judgement Day ngl I would pay to see that

I wouldn't bother with a magician gimmick. I WOULD however fully support someone bringing back the devil's advocate gimmick Sean O'Haire had. Joe Gacy would have been a great choice if not for the fact he's going to be part of the Uncle Howdy thing whenever it finally comes into fruition.
For the Legend Killer: Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, Ludwig Kaise, Otis, Logan Paul (tho I see him on other gimmicks), Jacob Fatu*, Oba Femi.
Basically went for those I know the least but look like a million dollars.
Kross with a supernatural gimmick i think would work if done without being goofy or harming his credibility his NXT run IMO walks the line well we can make Scarlett the supernatural aspect of his presentation the tarot cards and "fate" driving his fueds would have worked if it wasn't dropped faster than the flash blinks

could give the legend killer one to Bron Breakker. He can pull off the scary intensity for it and could angle it that the generations after his dad were soft and he's going to show everyone how soft they are.
Your videos really need time stamps brother, the content is very nice but if I have to leave before the video ends or if I have just a little time and I want to see something in particular is freaking impossible to know where one example ends and other starts because of your edition style.
I really think that the Influencer gimmick should be Austin Theory's gimmick. Team him and Logan Paul up.
How about a Genius, Dean Douglas, Damien Sandow intelligential heel…or a Nailz, Crush, Waylon Mercy type Max Cady inmate just released from prison, how longs it been since a corrections officer gimmick

Doesn't Stevie Turner on NXT play a social media influencer of sorts, or at least a streamer? Her gimmick seemed interesting, but they hyped her up for a few weeks with vignettes, got a couple of wins on TV, and then totally disappeared. I think she got injured or something, but then she hasn't been on TV in over a year.
