*_How did you do on the quiz? Let me know here in the comments._* đ€
Can we say in the quiz in stead of on the quiz??
I have 2 mistakes. Thanks to your detailed explanation I got what I did wrong. Thank you
I made only one mistake. And was surprised because usually, I make them more..
Excuse me, I still donât understand why âboringâ is the answer for the question you first mentioned at the beginning of the video. Sorry for about that.
I have obtained 8 over 10 in the quiz.
The punctuation is wrong in the first example. âWhatever you do.â is a dependent clause; it is not a complete sentence, so the period makes the test question awkward and confusing. As for the third example - Iâm not sure where to start. Once again, you have a punctuation issue. For the answer you are providing, there should not be a period after know. It should be âI donât know where I should go.â However, since you *do* have a period after know, you have made the first line into a stand alone phrase: âI donât know.â Therefore, it is possible to use âWhere should I go?â as a follow up question.
I noticed this, too!
And I wonder why the author did not comment on this point...
LOL Burn.
haha yep.
I agree, though I also dispute the "have studied" Vs "have been studying", I would say that either is correct there, but I reckon he couldn't think of a better example and went with that. I also wonder whether it's a poor question, more like "guess which answer I mean".
I could say:
I studied Italian for several years.
I have studied Italian, for several years, now.
I have been studying Italian for several months.
All of which are true for me.
If you put a period after "I don't know" then it becomes a complete sentence and you can't follow it with choice A. You'd have to choose B because it's a complete sentence. If you remove the period then choice A is correct.
I hear you there, however, as the second sentence ends in a full stop, it's shouldn't be answer B as that would make it a question. i've not watched until the answer, just giving my take on it
I agree 100% @Lisa H
exactly.
You are a gift , for sure ! Thank you , Wes, for always having a fun lesson đđ»đč
I really appreciate it. Thanks so much for commenting & taking the quiz. đ
More of this advanced grammar lesson Wes! Super helpful. Thanks!đ€©
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the quiz. đ
There's a punctuation mistake in the noun clause. There shouldn't be a period after the first clause. Therefore, the correct answer is. Idon't know. Where should I go? or I don't know where I should go go. In the second case there's no period between the clauses.
100 percent correct. The test was easy .I know I could have passed this test in 6th grade.I had a truly great teacher !

Thanks for this amazing class. â€âș
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the quiz. đ
I would use "despite" instead of "inspite of" making progress. Also, as a technical writer, I typically don't use the verb "hit" for keyboard actions, I would use "click the Like button."
In spite of = despite
I made two flaws. First one was the first inquiry. I chose bored instead boring. That was somehow baffling for me. But you facilitate it sir. And the second one was the question about leaving New York. Which I chose "to". Thanks a lot master. Love you and your facilitation
You did great! Thanks for commenting & taking the quiz. đ
