Thanks a lot. My question is about using special adverbs in comparative and superlative sentences. Example is it correct to say: I work hard in maths than in science or I work harder in maths than in science. Thanks from ALGERIA for your answer.
Thank you Mr. Wes for your eloquent and enthusiasm of teaching us this language of yours. I appreciate!
I want to say a BIG thank you to you. You might probably not remember this: some time this year, I think around end of April or early May. I asked you for some good stories or novels to read and you recommended Harry Potter. I finished the series day before yesterday! It is a big achievement for me; I never thought I would be able to finish those HUMONGOUS books. Thanks again Mr Wes! It is time for celebration 💃💃💃💃💃👏👏👏👏🖒👊🖓👊❤❤❤.
Every time I watch Wes's videos I want to hug him for making me more fluent.
Glad to hear that! Thanks so much. 😊
One year later, I found you. Great job! From Costa Rica
Awesome! Thank you! Glad you found me. 😃
Thank you for these lessons. I learnt English by simply living in the country rather than learning it formally, so I don't know grammar rules: I make grammar mistakes regularly, especially in my writing. Grammar mistakes are not as easy to check as spelling! I find your style clear and more entertaining than many others. I think It's because your lessons are live, which makes your delivery natural and chatty. I especially like the rule boxes as I am a visual learner. Hopefully I can also retain some of it.
What I have enjoyed so far (I've only seen a few videos) are advanced verbs and adjectives to make my writing interesting and to avoid repeating the same word over and over, and grammar quizzes that can "trick" me, so I have to think harder and justify my choice. So, I would like more advanced vocabulary and grammar quizzes but of course that wouldn't be fair on all users.
Thanks for commenting & checking out the lesson. Have a great day. 😊

Hi Wes I from Iran and I don't know how to thank you for such a perfect and excellent explanation . You are kind and the best teacher I've ever seen .God blees you
Great video. I'm learning Swedish and was looking for a decent video that isn't just a joke or meme to post on my Swedish page to show thise who think Swedish is confusing so they can see how confusing and just bizarre English is. So many things we take for granted. There are certain aspects of any language you just have to get used to and memorize as there is no rule. I'm a big believer in learning by immersing yourself as much as possible trying to speak only what you know in that language for 30 mins for example.
Hey Andy. Thanks for commenting & sharing with us.
I have been studying english for over 40 years and in all this time I should have learned all the Shakespeare theater by heart. But I haven’t!
don't sweat it. it's all a bunch of irrelevant bs that he most likely didn't even write himself, if he was even a real person in the first place
A or b both ok

Hi Wes, in the sentence, " none of the bananas ___ ripe, both " is" and " are" can be used, depending on whether you mean ' not one ' ( singular)or ' not any ( plural).

I would say, "None of the bananas is ripe." (not even one is ripe.)
The same as we say,
"One of the bananas is ripe." (singular)
Or "Some of the bananas are ripe." (plural)
I have been learning a lot from you.

I really like this way to learn English
Thank you👏👏👏
Thanks so much! I appreciate your comment. 😃
Hi Wes, loved the video and your explanations; however, I'm a little confused about the subject-verb agreement use of "none". You say that it is plural, but my grammar book indicates that when "none of the" is used, the main subject is singular and the verb is singular. I am not questioning your logic, just need clarification because it causes confusion in my head. Thank you in advance. (Grammar for Writing 1, Joyce S Cain, pp 27)
Perfect. Thank you teacher. You are the best
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. 😃
Hi. My name is Abdel-Rahman.... Thank you for such good lessons.

Hello, Wes!
How are you? It has been a long time to revisit your channel. Once I failed an English exam for a graduate master's program, I got a sort of depression-like symptoms for a while. Now I am getting back my motivation and inspiration again. Every content of your lectures is valuable and very helpful to improve my English skills. Especially Grammar is one of my weaknesses, and I've learned essential grammar today. Thank you.
I am looking forward to another outstanding lesson.
You have a really great sound man , it's an English to survive with....
