I'm so happy I found this video, I was really focused while watching it. I wrote my answers in my notebook in order to write explanations to the words I didn't understand as well, but here are my answers! I'm Swedish and most of these were guesses, I knew some of them though.
    1: d) artificial
I have never used the word "contrived" before, but I think I had heard it which was why I got this one correct.
    2: d) fatigued
    3: b) plethora
I thought of the word "plenty" when you said the keyword was "amount", but I hadn't seen the word "plethora" beforehand so I was also guessing. Now I know what "copious" means!
    4: a) deceitfulness
    5: b) supplement
I was actually not sure, I thought it could be 'supplement' but a part of me wanted to change it, happy I didn't though!
    6: b) indoctrinate
This was wrong (I didn't know what it meant, either) and I was purely guessing. I had heard the word "abhor" before, but I don't think I knew the meaning of it. The other words were completely new to me!
    7: a) demand
I guessed, but when you showed us the quote from the movie I recognised it, but I didn't remember from what movie. I knew what "comply" meant beforehand, but I had no idea "acquiesce" was a synonym for it!
    8: a) polarize
A part of me guessed but another part of me kind of knew. When you said it was being used a lot nowadays I thought of what word of the examples you gave I recently had seen and that was "polarize". I still had to explain it in my notebook though, as I wasn't too sure what it meant c:
    9: b) thrifty
Had I known more about Marco Polo I could've guessed it right but I really know nothing about him. The word "intrepid" is also completely new for me and my English vocabulary, but now I have it both in my head and in my notes!
    10: d) unreserved
The word "demure" is new to me but as "unreserved" was the only word with a different meaning compared to the other examples, it felt right to choose it. I will surely be using "demure" often now, as I can describe myself with it as well c:
    11: b) tangible
Mostly a guess, but I see the word "tangible" quite often so I recognised it. I remember reading it often during my English lessons last year when we analyzed formal texts and academic essays so it did exist somewhere in the back of my head.
    12: b) bolster
A wrong guess. I was choosing between "bolster" and "coerce", no reason behind it though. They felt right but I didn't know what they meant, I have heard "coerce" before while watching some sort of documentary but I didn't think of it then since I didn't understand what it meant. Now I know what it means, so thank you!
I had 7/12 and I'm proud of myself, my English isn't bad but my vocabulary isn't the greatest. I'll be watching more of your videos, I find the English language really interesting so I'm really happy about finding this channel! :D

With the word "acquiesce" - does it have to be followed by something such as "to"? For example, would "I'm disinclined to acquiesce your request" or "The board will acquiesce any decision the CEO makes" be proper? Thank you!

I really like your videos. I do respect your expertise in American English. I really learned a lot from you. Please don’t use politics as an example. It hurts your credibility as a teacher.

As usual, your video is stunning. Excellent choice of words. If I may suggest, this kind of quiz could be done more often. I can assume that my English is improving since I got all of them right. However, I must confess that I gave my best guess on "Demure" and got lucky.
