I'm a mercy main and a lot of times when I see someone play mercy, I go "wtf are you doing" in my mind. So no mercy is not as easy as most says. Same for Moira, I can't even do the fade prop jumps with ease while good moira players can move 50ft in a fade like a spring pad onto second floors consistently.

The problem with mercy is she is annoying to deal with in the hands of a normal players. Her skill celling might be high but that higher lvl of play is not needed to bring value to the game. Where as being a junk rat without being a little bit skilled enough u will essentially be throwing.
So problem with mercy is she gets a lot of value for so little skill.

Tbf I think what people mean about characters with "high" ceilings is that no matter what character you play, we all have the same game to learn yea? Like you pick up doom vs orisa and it's like well yea orisa is easy to learn n you can say hard to master but... so are the harder characters? I think that's where it comes from ya know?
When I started playing back on ow1 I was a mercy main before one tricking soldier and had a way easier time on him than mercy. Difficulty is a weird thing to measure, because it’s different for everyone, and it matters what you base if off.
@Coolguysup Individual skill 100% comes into play with people on an individual level, but on a global level, you can still compare ease of use. Like tracer is still 100% harder than soldier on a fundamental lvl, but I'd argue it is harder to climb reliably on solider because he is easier to punish the higher you go. Tracer is harder to learn and play effectively, but because she brings huge impact and can be hard to play into, she can have a smoother time climbing

With the DVa bomb i made myself that stupid rule "If I can't see, it can't see me". If I can see the Dva bomb in any angle, i assume I'm dead. Does it work... sometimes, does help to see the bomb angle, sometimes
it's important to note that the bomb will still damage you if you close your eyes

as someone who really loves Moira I can confirm you CAN master her, especially in cooldown management and MOVEMENT. If you know the map well and you know how the fade works you can do really insane stuff, also throwing orbs is kinda hard to master as well, you need to understand where to send it, good Moira will send it from the sky, it's like widow trickshot.. kinda...

I wonder if it would be a good idea to add a damage resistance that stacked per person shooting at one person, say 2v1 gets 5% dmg reduction to 5v1 getting 20% reduction? Incrementally each time by 5 percent and it could be across all roles not just tank to negate that "focused down, or explode" feeling

I already have seen the flats clip once so I was pretty sure of it being the weird Los bug so I didn't care to check out how the bomb killed me, but to know that there is a certain angle where bomb has los on you even when your hiding underneath that ceiling is craaazy
On the mastering a hero part I dont think anyone masters a hero till they get out of bronze 🤣
The big box changes are a nerf to anyone that depends on smaller hit boxes to dodge, Ana, tracer, mercy, and a few other get hit a lot more.
I main Ana and people get a lot more head shots on me and I get hit by a lot more abilities even when I feel like they should have missed, so Ana just dies a lot easier and that goes for similar characters.

I'm not a tank player but I think something that would help tank out a lot is when they get below maybe 25% health they take like 50% less damage. Tanks are supposed to be tanky and they are quite the opposite anymore, one missuse of a button you're dead, one miss play youre dead. If they took less damage they would actually be a tank.

I know this was recorded forever ago and everyone has already said every point there is about it, but what if we still kept the 5v5 format, but it was 2 tanks, 1 dps, and 2 supps? and if after we try it, it doesn't work, we jsut throw in the towel and go back to 6v6?

The main problem with the skill conversation is a lot of the internet yappers dont seem to get the difference between 'skill expression should be rewarded' and 'mechanically easy characters should be nerfed to where they are literally unplayable'

Honestly loving these Diva bombs just because of how much they add to how shity the overall design is of the OverWatch maps in general all these stupid little windows and gaps that no one ever pays attention two because they are practically useless unless you can fly yet just because there's three squishies trying to spam you while a Diva bomb is falling from the sky and you happen to forget which window you're next to you're still going to die just because they designed the map in such a stupid way the same way it feels like there has never been a single map created at all with Lucio in mind
I have a genuine question. So let’s say my whole team is playing meta, my dps does terrible, I’m doing everything I can, it’s a whole team dif, yet I, as the tank, am the only one to get blamed even though tank is still not good last season. Is there any explanation for this besides tank being the biggest and most vulnerable target
The explanation is that in this game, most of the people doesn’t understand that they’re part of the problem. They’re losing a match, but it is never they’re fault, it’s someone else that is not doing dps, healing or tanking properly, but it’s never them. Even if their positioning is trash, they have 0 game sense or playing widow vs a winston sombra tracer, it’s never they’re fault. For that, you have a soldier with 12k dmg and doing 8-6 but hey, he has the damage, he’s doing ok, but he actually is shooting only the tank and never focus supports. It’s always like this

@@austinhunt6566 It is super dumb but you have to play with A LOT of dumb people. At least I started to understand when I am the problem and it's ok to say it, I mean, I can't play perfectly every game so who cares. But there's people who never make mistakes apparently lol
Today I had a Winston in my team playing into a junker queen reaper sombra team, we never had cover bc he always got destroyed from them but he typed something like "hey I have the highest dmg in the team so I'm not the problem" WHO CARES about the dmg, he's not tanking at all but it was a healing diff.
I'm even tired to argue with these people, it's fc useless

If Orisa wasn't meta, tank would be 10x better
Play with a silver Mercy and then play with a high rank Mercy ans you will see the "easy to learn har d to master" in action. As someone that hit masters on Mercy and is in silver at thr moment after giving up one tricking like a noob, and is also unable to play much, watching silver Mercys is pain. They dont focus heals on tje right people, they dont damage boost effectiveley and they rez like a bot and hard feed.
Try and climb to masters playing only Mercy ans you will understand how much value you have to squeeze out of her to have impactful value.

For moira though yes you can min max stuff but comparatively to everyone in the game shes absolutely not hard to master. Compared to ana lucio gengi etc moira has less than 10x the things she csn do to differentiate a average moira from a master versus the other characters i mentioned

Honestly, I really enjoy watching these, but I no longer play Overwatch. It just stopped being fun for me. If I play Tank, I feel like I'm not even doing anything. If I play DPS, I feel like I can't kill anything because the supports save the enemy in the nick of time. Finally, if I play Support, I feel like the team wins or loses based off of my performance. Game just didn't feel fun anymore. I do enjoy watching these though and will probably continue watching these until you yourself decide to stop.

@@WizzleTeats69 Actually, this comment is the energy you're talking about. I only talked about how the GAME felt for me, but it's also partly the community (i.e. YOU) that made the game unfun. While I did get games I enjoyed, most of the time I would get yelled at to play a certain way. So I decided that instead of playing I didn't enjoy and throw abusive language at people, I would just stop playing and play a different game.
Before saying mauga is op , or really good, u don't understand, in ranked , nobody wants to lose , which means they will swap as hard as they need to , to make sure they win, and that means , reaper Ana zen , bastion sombra , all on one team , you don't get to play mauga because of the dps passive and all the antis , u literally can't play, well u can , but that's why people are incorrect when they say he's busted, and super easy to play , he's simple to under stand and hop right on to play him, but in ranked, choosing him means ur selecting the hardest difficulty match because u will fight with all the odds against ur favor
You could just swap off mauga and even the odds , but at that point , the strat with mauga is to swap off mauga ?

@Rohndogg1 he is the simplest tank , all he does is run , shoot , and shoot to heal , 3 things going for him , very 1 dimensional, the easiest tank to counter , so yes he is boring , but playing him , this ehwo say he's easy to play , yes he is, super simple to understand how he works , but he's hard to play against a team of 5 counters, and people don't understand that , they just hate losing to a mauga , but realistically, if u don't know how to deal with a mauga without countering , that's a skill issue , because there's several ways to deal with him , anti , sombra , discord, bastion reaper are just the most obvious answers , but there's several more

I know many (or even all of) these are pre-recorded and it is the right thing to do but what's the point in prerecording and then publish tiktok reactions that refer to omega old topics, patches ecc.? You record AND publish right away . It makes sense even from a buisness perspective since you can stay on pace with the "trending" tiktoks at that specific time so they come up and get reccomended more often. Now all searches and interest in the S9 patch is gone or fading away and way less people will even get to see your videos.. mind blowing to me..
In my opinion, the heal debuff should not activate on low damage. Like for example when a Moira tickles the enemy tank from time to time, that should not reduce the tanks healing.
It wont cause moiras not a DPS even though people play her like one
An actual example would be a single reaper pellet, or a single tracer bullet. The opposite is also an issue, though, like with hanzo, who gets virtually no benefit from it.

In my opinion, the heal debuff should only activate on higher damage. If you are just tickling a tank occasionally with Moiras grasp, the debuff should not activate.

Easy to learn but hard to master hero in OW means it is an easy hero, but you need to master playing the game to be good on this easy hero.

I swear flats has no reading comprehension sometimes jesus christ. On the "easy to learn hard to master", the guy makes the point that there's nothing inherently that makes heroes like Mercy HARDER to master than OTHER heroes, therefore just making them easy.

So they're just gonna release all these heroes and just put it at 5v5. Where we have to counter switch every fight yeah no thanks. Just sounds like a worse version of call of duty.
And as a mercy player yes being the last to die is big but man it sucks sometimes when they’re all dead pressing their need healing key.
