Visually the game is breathtaking. Game was lacking features and, game modes on release. They did add more to single player and, more modes eventually. Ewok hunt is my favorite. *_Nothing beats the classic Battlefront 2_*

Hot take: battlefront 2 ( 2017 ) is better than the old one 2005 Battlefront did good things right but modern battlefront is much better on gameplay and overall experience
@@dude1473 Og battlefront did everything better except for the graphics and the class customization as well as able to pick from 4 diffrent weapons for every class and they had to add more saber heroes, maps and other stuff or it would of failed

The second trailer always brings a tear to my eye. There is a campaign in which you play as Iden Verso. I believe this is sort of canon, it does explain why there is a Star Destroyer in Jakku in The Force Awakens. The multi-player doesn't have a story it's just different modes that you can play. But the characters do have some dialogue when they see each other, as well as the announcer. The launch for this game was atrocious, there was no level up system as the cards you had determined what level you were, but after 2 or so years, they reworked the combat, implemented a progression system, made all the heroes and villians free (so you no longer had to pay 80,000 credits for Darth Vader) and they made this game super awesome and fun. This game was made for us, after the horrible Battlefront 1 of 2015. When this was announced they made it that all future content was free, and they did make it free. There were obviously micro transactions, but those were optional as everything was able to be obtained in-game.

Yea I played the heck out of this game because they do have all the characters. It's like getting to relive the entire story of star wars the franchise. Such a good legacy this is.

The only thing the game is missing is some imperial stuff and some graphics and other things like Ashoka,mando, Etc.
The fact that the jedi “adopt” children without taking no for an answer lives in my head rent free.
every force sensitive could be recruited by dark jedi or sith so I guess that's the justification, besides many times they are given a better quality of life compared to what they used to have

actually parents could just say no but it was seen as a great honer to say yes. And I mean think about it do you think alien species would not start rioting if they had to say yes. The main reason was because there children were ensured safety protection food and a good living space dorms it's everything you could need plus it's free and they get trained to defend themselves and other people.
@@GirlofCulture yes but luckes order did improve upon it so the Jedi were just a bit off upon what was right and like I stated you could always say no and besides the amount of Jedi to turn to the dark side because of the Jedi rules were very few as most only fell cause of power and besides many Jedi could do many pleasurable things like have sex and have multiple wives like (ki adi mundi as long as you didn't form attachments ) and even if you join the or order you could 100 percent leave at the least when you were a padowan (as seen with ahsoka) the only notable cases I can remember off the top of my head are Revan Malik (I think that's his name) (Anakin and ahsoka friend). So all and all there weren't that many who actually feel to the dark side and you could even make the argument that without the Jedi many force user who are naturally powerful in the force would be even more dangerous as they wouldn't have the guidance and wisdom (seriously think of how dangerous force users can be to the other natives to the galaxy) to use this powers for good and to defend the galaxy. I would like to continue this conversation because I'm lonely so please respond with some good arguments oh and I do agree to an extent that they created some of the fears that would ultimately lead to there downfall I do believe there was a reason why attachments were prohibited in the clone Wars era but not in the old Republic era which I could explain it if you want me to but right now my fingers are tired.

I really like this game. I often go back and play the story mode. There' s a tie in novel called Inferno Squad that is a good read. My only two gripes are that the story mode isn't very long and there's no Ahsoka despite there being a lot of other random characters.

For context Iden Verso is commander of Inferno Squad, one of the elite units of the empire that does Subterfuge and Assassination, etc. I don't know if it is still canon but before Disney bought out Star Wars some of the books stated that the Emperor kept control of the Empire by utilizing a form of Battle Meditation that is touched upon in the Star Wars: The Old Republic games.

In case you two forgot, this game does have a story mode that focuses on Iden Versio who is commander of Inferno Squad, an Imperial Special Forces commando unit. The story takes place between "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens", so it is indeed canon. Also, the multiplayer mode in this game is fun, especially since it includes several heroes, villains, ships, and planets from the Skywalker Saga.
If the story is canon we will have to play now 🙂
First off “May the 4th be with you” both and second the game is amazing and fun with online friends or co-op during the time being out there. As far for the story experience, you play as Iden Versio as she is character with growth throughout the story in place of New Hope Ending to StarKiller base making. If you two try it out. It might be long but fun journey to witness 😌
Her story takes place after Return of the Jedi, the Rebels destroyed Death Star ll, Luke and Darth Vader killed the Emperor.

man i remember when i use to play this game its been like what? 4 years
The campaign is indeed a solo campaign and the character we're following is Iden Versio, commander of special forces team Inferno Squad. They're basically the team you call in when you need a job getting done, they get in and out without being noticed, hence when the storm trooper said "We weren't expecting special forces." and got the response of "That's the point Sergeant." It starts out around the time of the second death star's destruction and follows Inferno Squad's path from there. (Anyone feel free to correct if I'm wrong or wants to add any spoiler free additions) Would recommend checking it out.
On top of that, if you're looking for Star Wars content like fan animations I cannot recommend enough Star Wars: The Last Stand. It is very short but it is also a beautiful animation and is well put together. It could be part of multi video reaction. I love the content you guys put out and can't wait to see what comes next.

The female character is Imperial Senior Lieutenant Iden Versio and I think she was made for the game (side note: you do get to play an other member of her squad Del), there is also a book out about Inferno Squad. In the video you watch you saw an imperial officer tell her she follows his orders that her dad Imperial Admiral Garrick Version. Oh, the game play covers the period from "Refund of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens". I look forward to Revenge of the fifth, I think I know what evil bring the Jedi did we will see. "Sadly" you dont play an Imperial for the whole campaign you also get to play for the Rebellion a few missions into it.
but you also get to play some hero characters like Luke, Han and Leia

I love this game. :D They done a great job recreating our familiar heroes and hero-ines in CGI and game-graphics, and it never/hardly feels boring to play multiplayer-modes over and over. Just like Jason Rogue here commented yesterday, some of the Hero and Villian characters have small conversations with each other when players use them in mp matches. I once used Solo in a match and another one had Leia; when I approached a hole in the ground leading to a level below, his AI said "Watch me, princess. I'm about to do something stupid". And she replied something like "You always do! And it rarely ends well". ;D That small dialogue alone gave alot of flavour to the round. ^^

The game has a single player campaign and a bunch of multiplayer game modes.
My favorite game mode is one where you start as an imperial storm trooper stranded in a jungle at night, and there are ewoks(the little furry creatures with spears) that has night vison and tries to kill you before an evacuation ship comes. If you die you become an ewok and get to torment your friends.
it's probably the best all in one star wars game but sadly its been dying the last few years.

The great thing about this game, is that you have A lot of Multiplayer game modes, and alot of Singleplayer aswell.
Not only that, but in singleplayer modes, the AI can play as Heroes or Villians and also as vechicles.
Not only that, but every DLC and updates are FREE, no need to pay.
Its a great game.

Battlefront 2 is one the best selling games out there! Over with 1k hrs almost towards 2k hrs it has been a journey. The attention to detail and the sound makes this game awesome. When I have almost 3 base classes MAX out makes this game addicting to me lol. When you have a full of Platoons with other MilSims makes it even more fun especially everyone is role playing and enjoying the fun of it.
P.S I hate allergies myself lol.
The best part of this game is the modding community is keeping this game alive on PC. We have so many cool customizations and UI that the modders make as long the mods are multiplayer compatible , you’ll love it a lot.

This game is a Dream game. So immersive! Play it in 4k, on at least a 65" TV, w/ surround sound.
The story is relatively short, considering the release day price. But, it's been a few years now, and should be discounted down to a worthy price. But, Battlefront has always been about the Team play.
We need to upgrade our entertainment system with some surround sound 🙂

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is probably the best or at least my favourite multiplayer Star Wars game being able to play in any era of Star Wars in any place on any side, Star Wars Battlefront 1 was okay but it was missing a lot and didn't get much content, but they made Battlefront 2 way better, although it had a terrible launch with some pay to win loot boxes and needing to grind the game for hours just to unlock one character (the heroes/villains) they later fixed this though by making loot boxes unlockable only through playing, and all characters became free and got a few content updates with new characters, the game became really fun, unfortunately these changes didn't completely revive the game, there are still a fair amount of people playing but not a whole lot.
There is a Story mode for the game, i don't remember much about it except that you play as a Stormtrooper named Iden Versio after the events of Palpatine's death and the Death Star exploding.

It's kind a sad what happened to this game, but also very necessary for the future of gaming.
The lootbox debacle and the sorta, I would almost call it revolution gamers started to fight back against the cooperate way of predatory monetization, was needed to slowly shift our world in the right direction again.
Also talking about the story. You basically start out as part of the empire, fighting against rebels. It was so cool and the whole selling point of the game, but then they went back to the same old, same old. And our main character joins the rebels. I was kinda disappointed about it, but the fact that we had that little taste in a game that was only going to be played for its multiplayer anyways was very sick!
Also the game still looks absolutely phenomenal.
You can only push people so much. But damn if greed won’t try to push as far as possible to see what is allowed 😒
I hate shilling for EA, but I love this game. There's nothing quite like running into battle, looking around and seeing your troops of storntroopers or rebels running side by side with you

This game is included in a starwars pack on steam on sale for May 4th. I bought it last may 4th at something like 85% off I think it was. Still havent worked through my game back log but I mainly bought it cause I want to do the battle front single player story and I really wanted the star fighter game since I loved Rogue Squadron.
On the woman from my understanding she is a unique character that was never shown before just to present the empire side of the story mode

Story Lore!! No/Minimal Spoilers!
Iden (the main character if this story) is canon. This game released alongside a book which contains lore surrounding Inferno Squad - the Squad Iden is commanding. It's an elite, Special Forces Squad that's often given high risk missions. Usually by Admiral Versio, Idens father.
The story follows the downfall of the Empire and the Emporers final order. I don't want to give too much away incase you guys play it but his final order is kinda messed up.
You do meet characters like Han, Leia and Luke too.
It's also worth noting Iden was probably the best Pilot in the Empire. So she's kind of rivals Luke in terms of skill. She also comes from an Empire controlled planet - so her view of the war is warped by propaganda etc. You'll see her home planet ingame - it's amazing looking.
The game kinda ruins some of her lore from the book but considering how the Empire ended up... I can see why they chose to do certain things with her character.
The DLC section of the story or "part 2" explains how the First Order gets its troopers and also ties into TFA and The Last Jedi - mainly by finding out how to destroy a Dreadnaught, which is then shared with the resistance. Poe goes on to destroy one in TLJ.
There's actually a few little tie ins to the movies in the story which is nice.
This game is a great and easy starting point if you want to know what happened to the Empire after Return of the Jedi. It's very brief but kinda sums a few things up nicely in a more general way.
If you want to know even more there's a series of AMAZING books called the "Aftermath trilogy" that delve into it. I HIGHLY recommend those books. They're phenomenal.

I LOVE this game when i first saw the trailer i was like HOLY CRAP and then i was hoping for a villain to come out at launch but he didn't but he did come later down the line and it was general grievous so stoked he came to the game

The campaign is single player! And there is some split screen arcade modes for some couch co op fun! Also the squad in campaign was referenced in the mandalorian! Her squad is inferno squad

The betrayl of when iden and del detected the empire to join the rebelion on the 3/4 mission was unreal at that point i just wanted to play as hask. Like why make and ad to the fans that you'll play as the empire in this game but then make our character join the rebelion and fight for the rebelion for the rest of the campagin.
All these years and I'm still malding over the campaign

Unfortunately the last update for this game was April 29th 2020 and that was when the game really started to take off in popularity. It had loads of potential but EA just decided pulled the plug. There is also no sign of a Battlefront 3 coming anytime soon as EA’s contract with Disney and the Star Wars license is ending in 2023, so we can forget about that.

You guys should definitely watch the clone wars television series. Whether or not you react to it is whatever, it is rather long anyways, but it’s my favorite thing ever and I’ve rewatched it over like 3 times ever since they added it to Disney+.

Man, I started playing again today and it’s crazy that you two reacted to this the same day. Only regret I have is I bought the celebration edition which gives you everything. I’m not complaining but it kinda sucks since I have nothing to grind for besides achievements.
Did it come with the Princess Leia, Endor and Bespin Leia skins, Tatooine and Hoth Luke, and New Hope and Hoth Han? I can't recall since I also bought the Celebration edition once it came out because I was tired of farming for credits, and I wanted the 501st skins for my clones.

I’ll tell you that the campaign story for this game is playable online/offline, you play as Iden Versio, and she’s a leader of an elite squadron that does secret missions. I love her character a lot due to her having to make tough choices. Also if you remember the Mandalorian Season 2, and remember Bill Burr’s character talking to the Empire officer about Operation Cinder where he lost a lot of men, fun fact Operation Cinder happens in this game and you see the atrocities that the Empire committed and how Iden Versio responds! So it’s really cool.
Honestly her being special forces and what happened mid-way through seemed weird to me and kind of ruined the whole experience. It really felt the second half was rushed and she didn't get as much development for a turn like that compared to her partner. Then again, my expectations where higher with Star Wars content then they are now.
It’s cool that the mission is canon and it has already tied into some stuff we’ve seen 😀

The single-player campaign was fun but short; it was later expanded a little with some DLC that tied into Last Jedi. The multiplayer was the meat of the game and the big draw for me was the space battles; they weren't as involved as the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games but were still fun. As you earned points through play in a match you could cash them in when you died to respawn as an elite soldier or ship, or for a higher cost a unique hero. The controversy over EA's loot box scam soured a lot of people on the game though and it struggled to recover its player base.
Yeah once you lose your audience it’s tough bringing them back 🤔
The game does indeed have a Campaign. You play an Imperial Soldier by the name of Iden Versio. I liked the story and really enjoyed the game play. The multiplayer is great to, but I'm not a PVP kinda person.
Glad the campaign is good as we would like some more Star Wars to play 🙂
There are two different campaigns one of them is during the empire the other one is where she is now in the Resistance

You guys should definitely watch The Clone Wars. Not necessarily for a reaction, but it's some of the best Star Wars content.
We have begun watching it. 🙂 Recording our reactions as well but not posting them all to CZcams as it’s a long series and we edit all our own stuff so just don’t have the time. But figured there would be episodes or arcs that people would want to see us check out 🙂

This game had a bumpy start but Dice pulled through and made it one of my favorite SW games ever. I love the OG BF2 but this game just had so much fun stuff and was cut by EA too soon, and for a less worthy game(Battlefield whatever) but it is what it is and I’ll forever love this game🔥🔥🔥
Yeah Iden was made for this game and is canon.
Also this game became awesome, still had issues but awesome. It launched a complete mess. And finally when it was hitting its stride it was canceled during the pandemic and to reallocate resources for another game at the studio that had an even worse launch LOL. I still play it from time to time. So much unrealized potential but the fans have really taken it and ran with it on PC with custom servers and tons of MODs.
I do believe a trailer is missing, then release of Anakin and Doku had its own trailer if I remember correctly.
Yeah someone else had mentioned that trailer. Bummer it wasn’t in the compilation we watched 😢
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames might have been because I don’t think it was a full cinematic type trailer. I think there was a cool scene and then an in-depth look to the gameplay of the “chosen one”
