    Hopefully this will help clarify some questions about this build:
    When i make my build guides, I typically do voice recordings first, then record the game clips to sync with them, and when testing the build out, if adjustments are made to it, ill re-record the part, but sometimes i either dont fully explain the change, or explain why but rather just record the new segment and move on, ans thats something i need to keep working on. One thing i didnt mention (my mistake for not being proactive) was the idea of certain aspects of this build if the merc dies, as he does regenerate health well...but he isnt invincible.
    CBF is one of the things i wanted to have in case he dies and the Mana pool becomes drained, as having limited mobility with teleport and walking/running will destroy the build/not make the build fun to play.
    Also, nightsmoke is more so also in case the merc dies as well, especially since ES isnt fully maxed out(still can take health damage, especially if poisoned), and when the merc dies, she needs to supplement her Mana herself. Wasting rejuvs on Mana didnt seem the best option, and i didnt want "save and exit" to be the main way to save the build in difficult to farm areas, i wanted a way to possibly help get one or two casts to teleport away as a last resort option, and that's where i considered nightsmoke as the means of helping with that.
    Hopefully this can better explain my reasonings behind this build, sorry for any prior confusion. Have fun farming!

      This comment is why i really enjoy making budget builds in addition to the endgame ones. I try to have different variations so that players, veterans and new players, and people with hours to play or those who can only play a few hours a week. Regardless of one's wealth in the game with the items they have to use, i hope to have content for everyone to enjoy and find builds they will enjoy and know they can build up if they choose to do so.

      This comment is a huge reason why I have enjoyed making budget versions of builds on top of the endgame ones! Not everyone is at the same place in the game, and some players may never have tried a certain build out before but are curious to. I like making budget versions of builds to help anyone get a sense of how the build can be played and what some of the minimum needed aspects of the build would be to hopefully give anyone curious a chance to test it out, and if they enjoy it, can continue to gear it up in time, but if not, no crazy investment was made and they can say they at least tried it out.
      Im always stoked to make content for any level of player in the game, everyone's welcome here and i appreciate all of you whom enjoy the content and give feedback! Hope you have a great week!

    Absolutely love that you made this budget version video!. Not all of us has access to 20/20 torches and annis when we reach hell. And we all know that Griffons and Infinity are good but don't have the time or luck to go get them.
    The whole D2R community needs more of these budget videos.
    I actually levelled a nova sorc that has about 70 vitality all the way to hell - now at Diablo himself. So it can be done with no respecs. Baal and Act 2 are nightmare areas though. Keep your rejuvs at all times. Most of my gear was bought for perfect amethysts - sunder charm, gheed, viper, amulet.

      @switch209gaming  Před rokem +3

      Comments like yours keep me hyped for making the build guides I do, and I appreciate that you enjoyed it!
      I like having the choice of endgame and budget options as there's those, like me, whom dont have a lot of time to play but enjoy testing builds out, so a budget version may be good to not invest a lot into but still see if it's worth pushing for endgame use. However for those dedicated players that really enjoy a build, to have the endgame build guide can help them see what to expect in gear and gameplay.
      ES Nova sorc is a challenge for many to spec into, as it's quite niche and needs specific hard points into skills to really be viable without just being one or two hits from death (especially people like me that can forget to cast ES), but yes, it's possible to play through and spec into from start to finish without only specing into once hell difficulty is done, and thats dedication many dont have, but for those that do, like you, a salute your effort and can only imagine how much more of a payoff it is to see the build clear areas once the difficulty is over and you are getting better gear to make her even stronger.

    Memory runeword is very cheap to make and comes with +6 ES - you can use it on weapon swap or in stash to prebuff. If you find a nice +3 ES base staff thats +9 to ES, but its cheap enough to make that there is no reason not to make it in the first 4os staff you find and then remake if you find a good base. The % phys reduction from Rockstopper also doesn't do much since it only applies to the damage going to your hp. Flat damage reduction is much better. If you are doing p1 elite sniping on bnet, you really don't need to go out of your way for defensive stats except poison resist if you dont want to carry antidote potions. I think the big strength of ES is that due to its mechanics you don't have to worry about getting resists, which is what every other class has to worry about when farming in hell without gear. I think a 3os helm with perfect topaz is a better budget option since you aren't giving up much damage.

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      I appreciate the feedback! I didnt mention Memory or even finding an ideal memory base because my intention was to be quite budget, but also focus on "in case Mana runs out fr the golem dying", as the way its set up in this video is a REAL glass cannon. She can farm, but she is still limited in not being able to farm specific areas efficiently as the monsters either deal higher damage, or have higher health pools to take longer than what should ne to kill them, especially if swarmed and the mana starts quickly draining. The rockstopper is for if Mana becomes depleted, and i believe in either the attributes and/or the gear overlook, i mentioned that resistances arent a focus for the build aside from poison, but in case someone forgets to cast ES or the Mana depletes and the health pool starts being affected. Its more of "just in case" as a means of surviving a few extra seconds to be able to teleport away to safety or can save/exit fot hardcore players.

      I’d personally try making this build once you get the sorceress through hell with whatever build you want prior, such as focusing on lightning, cold, or fire. But once through and can respec, start building her out. If at the bare minimum of 60, I’ve had plenty comment they started working on this build even in hell difficulty, but some skill points will be lacking for certain skills such as telekinesis and static field, and potentially lightning mastery (depending on your gear which all can vary).
      It’s never too early to start focusing on building it out; however it will be considerably weaker with less skill points to use, but if focusing on areas she can handle with few to no lightning immunes, you could level her pretty well and get her to where she needs without a huge time investment.

    When you are talking about the belt Nightsmoke, the damage taken to mana wouldnt do anything with this build I think. Damage taken goes to mana means that if you lose life from an enemy hit, you gain a percentage of that dmg as mana. But since you barely take any dmg when you are using energy shield that makes it kinda useless.

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      True, but the ES isn't optimized at the highest level it should be, and nightsmoke is more of a means of considering if the merc dies. I tested this build all over the game, and being as budgeted as she is, the areas i showed where the "safest" areas she could farm without too much threat to her survivability. However i wanted to take into consideration players may take her elsewhere, and i tried cows as the endgame build i made prior handled cows well...this build didnt, and my merc kept dying. If he dies, unless using Mana pots/full rejuvs a lot, her Mana would drain quite a bit and I wanted an additional option even if it meant helping her get 1 or 2 last casts before she would die to be able to possibly escape. Energy shield does the majority of saving her, but if the merc dies, she becomes quite vulnerable and i wanted to prep for that just in case.
      I havent watched this video in quite a while, if i didnt explain that, that's my bad and i apologize.

    • @rodolfokennis7793
      @rodolfokennis7793 Před rokem +1

      @@switch209gaming what he means is that @5:40 you mention that the ES is already doing what Nightsmokes ability is doing “50% damage taken goes to mana” but that’s incorrect. The 50% goes to mana as he mentioned, 50% of the damage taken from your health goes back into your mana pool. ES absorbs the damage taken with mana. I think he just wanted to clarify in case of a misunderstanding because the way blizzard worded that paragraph it can mean either and a lot of people confuse the meaning ✌️

    Do you think nova is a better starter then blizz sorc for new ladder reset? I have just tested both with similar gear and while nova is faster on trash it lack blizz damage on bosses or its like personal chose between farm focuses on between keys and gems vs unique items? I have noticed nova is not as good on clearing chaos and baal, but it might be just gear I have used was purely for blizz

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před 5 měsíci

      I'd say Nova is faster and better for mob hunting, however Blizzard is still pretty broken in comparison to nova, as well as it has a smaller variable in the damage it can do, so you know what the damage will generally be. Nova, being lightning damage, can vary from just 1, to thousands, so anything in between is fair game, so for better consistent damage, especially against bosses, Blizzard is the way to go. But Nova is still really fun, and is great for those lower level mobs, or even some farming such as Pits or Eldritch/Shenk.
      I hope this helped!

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      You can switch to this build in the 50s, but being that low of level, id recommend more points into telekinesis over lightning mastery to help you stay alive easier. Itll sacrifice damage, but with decent gear and a good merc to help with your Mana consumption, you should still be able to kill a lot on players 1.
      This build plays better at higher levels because specific skills need maxing or close to max to be more viable, but you can spec into it early and work up to getting more damage output and better survivability overall.
      I hope this helps, if you have any other questions, ill be happy to help answer them however i can. Have fun playing the build!

    Some questions/comments:
    1) Why do you need CBF? It does not reduce cast speed so it's not that important IMO (only if you care about movement speed)
    2) The "Damage taken goes to mana" does not reduce the damage your life pool get, instead based on the amount of life removed, you get back mana in the given percentage. If you meant this then (IMO) you were a bit misleading in the video.

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      Hello and thank you for the feedback!
      She has CBF as a means of considering safety. I tried having her go through several areas of the game (more than i showed in this video), and in some instances she would teleport into/around a mob that could burn her Mana (i believe her ES was only around 71%? This video is older and i havent watched it since uploading), possibly to the point where she cant teleport away ( i know Mana burn is fixed, but she still can have it drained a lot, even fully, depending on where a person would take her to farm), she wouldn't become a complete sitting duck from not having both forms of movement be effective to escape without immediately save and quitting.
      And for the damage taken goes to mana, i made the set up with consideration of both with and without the mercenary. With her ES nowhere near maxed in what is absorbed, if he dies, Mana pots would be necessary to either continue the run, or to use to escape and TP/use a way point to then get the merc back. Anything to have Mana somewhat be supplemented is crucial (again i only showed where she worked best in for my testing, but because of how budget she is, she was vulnerable in more places than she wasnt), and to have anything go to Mana would help with the potential to keep her "safer" without the merc, as he does regenerate health well, but in the wrong places or if swarmed around, can be killed without much issue (i tried in cows...big mistake).
      To sum up my long winded answer: despite i gave my opinions on where she would survive well at, i wanted to have ways of helping her survive better in case things go wrong as this build is budget and more fragile than other budget builds. Her merc is very important to having her Mana stay supplemented, but if he dies, she has means of staying alive without having to use up/waste rejuvs to keep her health/Mana up without him, and she also has mechanics used for safety if her Mana Is drained, not saying they'll fully save her, but more as last resort ideas before "save and exit" would need to be used, especially if playing in HC.

      Yes, telekinesis needs more investing into. If at lower levels than the Sorc i showed is at, for viability and survivability, id recommend focusing on the energy shield synergies over lightning damage. It will tank your damage a bit, but if you end up dying a lot and can't utilize your damage anyway, survivability is the main issue to address.
      This build is more so more viable at higher levels, but can be spec-ed into early, but is a fragile character to play without getting energy shield buffed to allow you to do a lot of damage in time.
      I hope that helps and makes sense, if you have any other questions ill try to answer them how i can, otherwise have fun playing the build!

      Yes, I stated in the video this was a players 1 build, maybe players 3 at most for those who want to push their limits.

      This build was meant to be as close to minimal budget as possible. I wanted to show that, with items that are not optimal, the build can still work well and be playable for those wanting very little investment, and/or want to transfer over gear from other caster builds and quickly spec into this build and give it a go.
      I couldve made it better with switching some pieces around, but i had a few in the endgame version i made say that they wanted a very budget version with gear thats easier to obtain, so i tried coming through in that regard to show its still playable on a mega budget.

    If this is a budged version I am mickey mouse... What you dedicated fans don't seem to understand is that after hitting 60, new players that have no idea or didn't look up on the internet in deep about how to... they have 10% of items that you just show here.... Your inventory full of med to high level charms are a no no for this build, no offense, not for this video title anyway.

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      What new players do or dont do is up to them, not myself or any other content creators whom make videos. The charms i have, Ive spent time rerolling them and gotten some of my best ones, not all of them had to drop, but can be rerolled, which to my surprise, not as many as id hoped realized they can do. They also can farm areas where their build does best at for better survivability and better clear speed. Or they can have a dedicated farming character and once the items they want drop, they can respec and build their new character from there. There's always options, so if someone does take up on said options, that's great, if not, that's fine too, but this build was simply to show potential for a budget version of what everyone always aims for in an endgame set up, and from there, they can upgrade items as they drop to become an endgame set up.

      unless you play a few hours a week....this build is budget, all the gear can be easily self found or traded for very little. The + to skill grand charms and 7% mf small charms are harder to find/craft no doubt but it's something that can be attainable for most players. If you don't want to farm or trade then your build will only go so far....if you still disagree then at least take note of the mods you want to prioritize on items for this kind of build and go from there

    killing bosses with this budget setup is crap

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem +3

      Its not meant to be a great boss killer as its currently set up. This build is a glass cannon and more meant for farming areas with large mobs, such as Eldritch, Shenk, Pits, some terror zones such as Ancient Tunnels, Stony Tombs, and the River of Flame. This build is to show she can be viable with sub-optimal gear and can still be a good budget farming character for areas that are better suited toward her strengths, and with monsters with lower health pools.

    Would this be a good beginner build? Like baby new 😂

    • @switch209gaming
      @switch209gaming  Před rokem

      Imo, this would not be a good build out the gate for beginners to play. This build is what youd spec your sorceress into once you're at a high enough level because it does require specific skills to be high enough in points for the build to be effective, even the build as it is in this video pushes it for being viable in certain areas.
      If you're looking for a sorceress build to try as a new player to the game, Id go with a blizzard sorceress, as she's easy to spec into, isn't incredibly gear dependent, and is quite powerful early on and only gets more powerful as you gear her up, even a budget blizzard sorc can be amazing and fun.

    A frost act 1 merc with insight bow is better than an act 2 merc simply for positionin purposes. The act 1 merc dies way less, and with ES you can just pop an HP potion here or there as the tripply prayer hp recovery is minimal at best. You get more crowd control as well with an act 1 frost merc. My 2 cents

      What other gear would the merc use here? Budget that is.
