Thankfully at the time, it’s all I needed to know everything about him…with 99hrs 59min extra to find and clip all this to make into the video. Doesn’t take much, or long, to see DSP for who he really is, he’s very telling of his own bullshit.

To my knowledge, with deaths web used for the initial bite, anything after would have the same negative poison effect as the poison spreads. However, once it’s switched out for another weapon, anything further getting the spread of the poison damage wouldn’t have the same negative poison resistance effect, however, anything prior bit or received poison damage from the spread when DW was the main weapon, retains the same negative poison resistance. This is a similar mechanic to how it works with a plague javazon, so unless something changed after patch 2.4, I believe that’s still the accurate information regarding DW negative poison resistance when using rabies and it’s spread of poison damage.

Very true, Ive seen a lot of players have this build made quite quickly, and then I see they didnt farm it, but bought it instead. While they have the right to do with their money as they desire, I also cant be too criticial as I hero edited this build, however, I dont regularly play this build at all. I enjoyed it for what it is, and after testing it the first time, make a guide about it, then shelved it until recently deciding to run ubers with it, and it was a blast. I have meant to make a hybrid between the TeslaDin and DragonDin, and just as you said, id probably stack those small charms together for greater damage potential, since this wouldnt be an ideal MF build anyways. They are the railings from the Right Leg Depot. You have to break them off the elevator at the entrance of the depot, and if you make them into an auto build, they won’t disappear of broken off a build. They’re also ridiculiusly lightweight so they work for builds to fly with.

That would be the biggest twist ever, he'd be actually making money if he ran some detractor channels and just highlighted his own bullshit. If he embraced his flaws instead of gaslighting and playing victim, the detractors would be fewer and far between, and he may actually be able to be more likeable... But that's beyond the realm of reality at this point.

A budget poison nova necro cannot be played with the same expectations as an endgame version could. I believe I also mentioned in video, that this was just to show how the build could play to see if players would even be interested in the build, that would give them a feel for how better gear and more damage output would work, while still giving them a fun and safe experience without worrying about the timing of the poison damage, since it's significantly dropped from the endgame set up. I do appreciate the feedback, it helps to make the content on the channel better overall, even on older videos like this one. I understand FCR isnt a huge priority with poison nova, however, I wanted to focus on the other skills having the better FCR benefit, especially if later on gearing him up with Enigma where FCR is much more important. This build is suppose to be the stepping stone to my endgame one, but still being fun overall to play without the highest of expectations since it's budgeted. I hope this helps clear some things up, at least on how I went into making this build. Again, I really appreciate the feedback.

I never did either, he seemed to have the same type of entitlement for getting games early as DSP feels he deserves his audience donations. I remember seeing him being denied the chance to play a new game and had a hissy fit when others were given early access codes.

Maybe with CB somewhere else like boots and helm it would work. Its worth a try and you can always swap gear between the bosses

As far as LightSabre for Ubers, that's something Ive never tried, but being Mephisto is quite risky to fight, especially if caught up in his charged bolts or the initial poison cloud, you may fair better with trying to get Thundergod's Vigor paired with your Wisp over using LightSabre, and then using either Black flail or anything with CB/OW to ensure Meph goes down smoothly. But if you can make it work with LightSabre, let me know, and if you make a video of it, I want to watch it! Good luck!

This build is too OP for even being budgeted, the ubers can try all they want, I go in shields swinging and they either need to run, or get the Captain America treatment!

He has magefists as there’s a specific FCR breakpoint I’m trying to hit. Granted my favorite smiter is one using Duress over Enigma, but this a teleporting smiter focused on higher FCR to not be locked when teleporting into a mob, but he still crushes everything he fights without issue. If you felt this wasn’t a fair comparison, sorry you didn’t enjoy the video, I appreciate you checking it out anyway.

No worries! He’s the only one that affects the build enough to slow it down and need extra IAS, I overlooked it myself at first, but thankfully it’s easy to stack IAS gear without sacrificing other stats on said gear to do so.

How so? I’ve seen countless forum discussions, as well as within comments of different build guide videos, going over which weapon is best to compliment the Exile shield. With that, I wanted to give demonstrations to show runs with each weapon so viewers can see the difference in the gameplay experience, and determine which would be better for them, if they feel any of the weapons is better than the other overall.

I love last wish, if only it had IAS on it, it would be close to a perfect melee weapon.

Nobody asked for the combo in my community post I made for this video. I used only the run I showed in the initial build guide, then 2 examples from comments of different weapon options.

I’ve done a run prior with only minimal gear, especially no unique or set items, and though it did work out for me, the process was so bad back in Plugy…I decided to not to replicate it for D2R where it struggled against the Ubers without minions, and having them in D2R would only make it worse. Also, I don’t make online/ladder specific content, now that the Devs have D2R in maintenance mode, and with the base game of Diablo 2 being two decades old now, there’s no reason to hyper focus on the barest of gear builds for the newer players, since the vast majority no longer play/are interested compared to when the game originally came out. For those veterans whom have been playing for years now, I would expect them to have equal, if not better gear, than what is showcased in this video. If there were enough asking for bare bones gear set up for a smiter, I’d do it, but my content defaults to those whom have been playing for years now as the base audience, who want to expand and try different builds with gear from their secondary builds and/or items they have traded for/are going to Charsi if they don’t find someone who wants them.

Well I am a veteran player and push leaderboards in d2r and plugy so if your audience is towards long time veteran players thats me lol. I guess everyones definition of "budget" is different. When I think of budget gear for uber smiter I think of a 4 pdiamond Akaran targe with a black flail LOL. day 1 uber killer.

@@Ern-su7sb I do have a follow up video showcasing different weapon options for a budget Uber smiter, and one of them is a Black runeword flail. However, like I mentioned, I don’t focus on ladder reset/online, I try to make content that is more broad and with the mindset of people who want to try something new, and would use either leftover gear from leveling up their primary characters/minimal farming/quick trading, as nothing shown in this video is expensive or questionable to farm for. For me, budget is gear that isn’t fully optimized, but still gets the job done. Rarity plays a minimal role in the decision making for what is “budget” for the task at hand, however the obvious exceptions are made for items seldom found by the majority. But an item’s usefulness is not defined by its rarity, such as Tyreal’s might is the rarest item, however almost never used aside from showing off its been found. However id never consider it for anything budget because it’s so hard to obtain. But the items I showcase aren’t difficult to drop/trade for, and the follow up video I made, simultaneously to making this one, will show much more budget options, and I focused on heavens light for this video since I never made a video showcasing as the weapon of choice.

That’s awesome, I’m stoked for you! I honestly am a more cautious and defensive player myself, however, I wanted to try something different and the more offensive approach was fun, however sometimes survivability would be questionable. I have a budget Uber smiter video coming out next week, that one I believe was done more cautiously because it’s not endgame gear, then the following two videos will have different weapon choices for each build, and I know the budget weapons one is definitely very cautious in play because the build is quite fragile.

I appreciate the feedback! I don’t play online, and the reason I don’t is because I maybe have 15 - 20hrs/week to dedicate to making content, including playing the game to get the clips, then editing, doing the voice over, thumbnails, and so on. If I started making online characters to use instead, I’d maybe make a few videos a year, and that’s it. Also, online is fun if doing so in parties, of which again, because of my lack of time to dedicate to the game compared to others, I’d end up needing to be carried through the game to keep up, or I’d be so far behind each ladder, I’d never catch up. But something you mentioned is also a big reason why I hero edit: D2 has been out for decades, so the overwhelming majority of builds are no longer “new” and the expectation of those simply grinding for themselves to just have fun with their favorite build is that, they maybe have already spend years trying to max it out however possible. If you look at my catalogue of content, I make two versions of the builds, both an endgame version as well as a budget version. I do so to make sure that anyone, regardless of their time or wealth in the game, can still have the chance to play the build and it would still be fun. I completely understand those that are dedicated to the online play of this game, however, I’ve always been a single player focused person, I don’t want to rely on others and/or compete in regards to ladder, as I don’t have the time and I’d obviously never have a chance to fully make my builds how I want, so I hero edit to show the potentials of the builds I make, this way players can see if it’s something they are interested in or not, and can take on building them up from there.

I suppose the main reason I get dirty on offline build guides with things like grief and exile is that people just hax the items or give themselves unlimited zod and ber runes and then the real achievement of the build (getting all the stuff) is gone and they may may as well just edit hax their character to have 10 zillion damage and sail right through Ubers or whatever. Ive played since 2001, and resisted going online for a lot of years but when I finally did start doing ladder seasons it really opened up the game for me. Items must be found or earned, and of course there is trading items with others which has its own satisfaction. Offline playing is just "Oh I'll dupe a couple more ber runes. Ooooh the grief was a bad roll I'll just hax it to a perfect roll" and then the game can get really lame. Anyway enough of my whining, I do respect that you made a comprehensive and useful video on the build. Now go join the new ladder start and start living my friend. 😎

Stupid take. The build working or not has nothing to do with where the items came from. Where do draw the line? You could easily say that using an online character doesn’t count because you could have traded for the gear from a botter. It’s just stupid as it has nothing to do with credibility. A build either works or doesn’t.

@@wizrom3046 You and I do agree on quite a bit, but the main factor for me would be: time.That's the literal reason I wont play online characters during ladder season because, again, due to IRL aspects such as working, spending time with family, and taking on additional interests of mine, im maybe given a 15-20hr window per week to make content, and trying to keep up with one video a week, depending on the video's complexity, that time could be completely used up in just making the video from concept, all the way to posting it live. I completely understand the idea of online being more "pure" for many, especially in dueling being many player's true "endgame" content, but I do play specific characters that ive been grinding with and leveling over the years, and I do that away from recording anything. I've used this channel as a means of exploring builds and concepts I never got the chance to try out, or showcase, and thankfully with hero editor, I can make them possible, as well as show them for others to hopefully enjoy and take steps further to improve on. I enjoy the grind and excitement in dropping something really GG during a run, but nowadays with balancing life and this channel, I have to do what I can in order to keep up the consistency I want, and this channel isnt my means of making money, it's just a fun hobby I take up to explore my creativity with my editing for videos, since I never really could do so with my skateboarding videos from when I was younger.

@Purriah It's not a "stupid" take, as I do understand that there are those who feel offline is cheating compared to online. Being I use Hero Editor, I can agree to a fault on that, but I just make videos to showcase the build's potential, just as you said to see if it works, or not, for the task assigned to it. I've had many people discuss with me online play is more fun, and with groups of friends, im sure it's much more fun, but when I discussed with someone recently why I dont play online, they said to just go to a D2R item site and buy some high runes and make the builds online...my response was, "how is doing that any different than using hero editor, besides id then be paying online for what I can get for free offline?" I just make videos to show different builds, I dont play the vast majority of what I make on a regular basis. After 20+ years of playing this game, im more interested in just having fun with seeing all the builds I missed out on vs leveling individual characters to try to make them online, I wish I had the time to grind for the builds like I use to, but I gotta handle IRL business which takes up the majority of my free time.

Why do you want to use auradin gear as an avenger? Vengeance damage only comes from the main weapon damage and no other +% modifier applies to it. So you basically do half the damage with your attacks by using even a high end HoJ instead of an Eth BotD BA. Also, even a supermaxed holy fire aura (HoJ + Dragon) has very low tick damage compared to Holy Freeze or Holy Shock. Your dual dreams do 95% of the work. In short, Vengeance is not a very good skill no matter what you do and Holy Fire also has low damage against Ubers even with perfect gear and full syn. That's why your build doesn't really work against Ubers.

If only plague had LR on striking vs when being struck, it’s one of the aspects of that runeword I think the Devs really screwed up.

The defense honestly is the last thing I think about when I’d consider making that runeword. Ideally, you should look for a base with + to either rabies, lycanthropy, werewolf, or anything else you feel is beneficial for the build, depending on if you go pure rabies, or a hybrid set up. I didn’t get an idea based because I hero edited mine, as well as wanted to show its potential without extra + skills on the helm, but yes + skills will only emphasize the builds potential that much more than to not have them on a pelt base.
