I never thought about buying a BMW until watching M539 Restorations and now I own one (and learning how to maintain it thanks to Sretan)
I’ve been saving for one my whole life and never made it to owning a bmw , do you have any advice ?
@@brendanngin9939 I bought a 2002 E39 that was decently maintained so the price was low and the ongoing maintenance won't be as bad. If you can save $5-7k you can find good ones out there!
I am exactly the same, I have purchased an E39 that is very broken and I also bought a non runner BMW E91 that I managed to get running after using Streten's tutorials that is now my daily driver. Happy Wrenching!
Same. Everyone knows the bmw reputation, especially high mileage cars, but Sretan demonstrates that if you are willing to learn, patient, and have space, you can maintain it yourself and save a ton of money.
Sreten is inspirational, genuine, sharp and amusing. He absolutely deserves the success and goals he reached!
I enjoy watching Sreten's CZcams channel more so than any television series currently available. It's so difficult waiting two weeks between his episodes. I've been around from the beginning and have watched all his vids more than once.
M539 is the best CZcams channel!
I found the M539 channel while going down a youtube rabbit hole searching for repair vid's for my old 2006 X3. I was, to be honest, about done with BMW's believing the mythology that maintenance could only, should only be done by trained, certified techs. Sreten's channel rekindled my love of the brand, and DYI (done correctly), wrenching. Working on these car's is now not a chore, but a hobby that I share with my oldest daughter who is restoring an E46 touring.
I had always assumed Streten had a background in BMW repair, it’s amazing he self developed his expertis.
How Streten only has 400k subs still blows my mind , such a down to earth guy and each video is like a feature film absolutely addicting, been watching since project Dubai

Sreten is the best BMW youtuber there is. He truly fixes these cars as they should be from factory. He doesn't skip steps or take short cuts. I truly enjoy his videos.

It is because of Sreten and M539 - Restorations that my love for BMW was rekindled. I recently purchased an E46 after binge watching his CZcams channel and he made me realize I needed another BMW in my life. Working on a complete repair and maintenance with all OE and OEM parts just like he does, he is a huge motivation to all of us that love BMW. I cant wait continue to watch his progress and where he takes his passion. Thank you Sreten.

Yep, I am actively hunting for an E60 550i M Sport because of him as well. Seems like a good balance between performance and not dealing with an S85 lol
I Love watching the Videos from Sreten, But now i love even more hearing Stories from the beginning of the CZcams Channel and of the Love for Cars he Developed over the time and working on them! Thanks to BMW Group Classic for uploading the Podcast and for inviting Sreten to it! Its always satisfying seeing and hearing Sreten Talking about Cars, -Microfiber- Towels .... Sreten has a really unique and interesting story and has developed his own fascinating strategy for buying, selling and restoration of BMW'S which I think is excellent. One day Sreten might have to write a book on this subject so people like me can learn all this stuff. The videos are really great and somewhat humorous. Giving the love Sreten expresses for the E39 M5 and E60 M5, due to their engines and being 4 door cars... He should definitely experience an E28 M5!
I really love the Sreten's enthusiasm and humor.
Moreover, the knowledge he transmits on the M539 Restorations channel is really good.
I have learned many small tricks and tips regarding car maintenance in general, which I passed on to my own cars.

I agree with you when it comes to the looks of the E60.
It is still my favourite BMW of all time the 530d is indestructible and the M5 v10 has a sound nothing in its class can beat.
I watch Sretens Videos since project Dubai and I‘m still excited, when a new video comes out.

I have been following the 5M39 presentations of Streten for some time now. What always amazed me was that he always found the right parts. Moreover, it turned out that he mainly relies on the factory manuals.
I currently have a 1987 E30 325I, a 1988 320i convertible along with a 1989 Z1.
Where can I find those factory manuals and the right parts.Please help me to keep my cars on the road.

Apart from the ontopic BMW thing, which for sure is the best, I watch Sreten with popcorn every time but, 18$ / h as an IT guy in LA ? That's a very low rate, in EU as a contractor with decent experience you get 35-40 E / hour and even more if you are a senior guy in this domain.
