    India is really a unique country. One says that a bumblebee flies because it doesn't know that it breeches all aerodynamic laws. As things go in today's world with religious and ethnical quarrels, India shouldn't exist. But India does exist and it prospers. Give it another 50 years in the footsteps of Modi ji and India has lifted its poor classes into a productive life. India is a popular country all over the world and I want to see it take its rightful place in the geopolitical world. We need a strong India. 🇸🇪♥️🇮🇳

    While happiness is a highly subjective, unquantifiable state of mind, it is interesting as a native of Mizoram that these so-called studies repeatedly find Mizoram at the top of the index.
    That being said, significant factors that contribute to the 'happiness of the people of Mizoram' are deliberately or unintentionally left out here. Linguistic homogeneity is one, and the rich, evolving Mizo culture and tradition and its emphasis on social codes of conduct such as 'Tlawmngaihna' which is literally embodied by large NGOs like the Young Mizo Association (YMA).
    Apart from its thriving civil society, deep love for music and sports, close-knit and active community life, and relatively clean politics, the prevalence of high literacy allows the general public to consume media and produce rich vernacular literature. The prestigious Mizo Academy of Letters (MAL), for instance, selects Book of the Year, from all the books written and published in the Mizo language in a particular year using set criteria.
    But most importantly, the most significant factor which the study purportedly left out is the fact that Mizos are Christians and a large part of their social life revolves around the Church which provides Church-goers (the percentage for which is quite high) platforms for regular praise and worship, partaking of the gospel in various forms, observance, and commemorations, and involvement in related activities.
    This help regulates society in the most intricate manner and reduces inequality, stress, misunderstandings, marginalization, discrimination, and loneliness for the individual to a great extent. I hope someday such studies comprehensively and critically look at all these variables and not rely on one or two interviews to arrive at generalizations that often paint a false picture due to simplified results. It will also help if the study is also critical and in-depth so that a better understanding of why people claim to be happy despite issues and challenges in their day-to-day life.
    Mizoram definitely has its pitfalls and many areas to improve upon for such happiness to be sustainable. These things need to be highlighted too. Ka lawm e (Thank you).

      Well thanks for listing all the factors that these news guys haven't mentioned according to your perception. I may agree partially with it but that's ok. Your argument of happiness based on a particular religion is kind of illogical to me. Because when I look at the case of Bhutan which is not a Christian state, but still one of the happiest country in the world that kind of shatters the argument. That's just my opinion.

    • @somtey
      @somtey Před rokem +1

      @@try_dc6366 I don't claim Christianity in general as a cause of Happiness but rather a huge factor in the Mizoram context. The Church is a stabilizing institution in the average Mizo social and religious life. Mizos are staunch Christians in the same way Bhutanese are staunch Buddhists. But note that each religion in both these cases is highly indigenized and practiced in line with their own culture and customs. Both Mizo and Bhutanese societies are also more or less homogeneous. So that's there.

      @@try_dc6366, it is indeed Christianity the greatest factor of all for us state in particular, the way Bhutan finds happiness might not be generally related to religion as much as we find happiness from it, depending on the economic and community relationships and conditions, and individual relationships and social environments, so it is infact for us, Christianity the main reason that kept and maintain our mentality, to cope with everything in our day to day lives, which falls on such index of measurements used for measuring happiness as shown in the video.

    Simple answer. Mizoram is part of India geographically. That's where the similarity ends. It's culture, language, history, religion, traditions, race is different from mainland. Hence, they are not corrupted, racist, filthy, biased, conniving like the rest. Another example, Nepal has so many things in common with India and so suffers from all the evils of India. Whereas, Bhutan does everything to not be like India and is a very happy country. Go figure.

    Now everyone's attention will move to Mizoram and chances of investments, people will begin to buy more real estates and the inflation of properties and goods peaks up due to high demand and finally the indigenous Mizoram people will face struggles and end up in an unhappy state. The world is being ruined by these idiotic statistics.

      Luckily our previous leaders had set up a good act and law which prohibits people from other places to freely do such action. So, no worries on that 😊

    Q: Why did Indian army massacred innocent Naga mine workers on their way back from work?
    Q: They were mistaken for Naga separatist group called the Liberation Front of Nagaland
    Note: India is the country with the most separatist outfits, 300 plus altogether, fighting for separation from India. Not forgetting the feared Communist Maoist Naxalites freedom fighters

      That is the problem with too much of democracy and freedom.Must learn from Chin a to oppress all separatist crooks and muslims who have too much liberty to wind up several false allegations against the govt. because they are dreaming of Islamic rule.
      Also India is the country with 2 jackals side by side in the north trying gobble up Indian territory and feeding all these separatist outfits from the underground.
