  • Korean wave reached the northeastern state of Mizoram in the early 2000s. It was one of the first places in India where the South Korean pop culture influence first made its mark. One thing I have noticed about the Korean influence in Mizoram is that, the popularization of Kpop, has led to an increase in the number of men who express themselves in ways traditionally associated with women. Kpop men may not be the best representation of a masculine man, I don’t believe that most or even a majority of them are gay. However, in Mizoram, the influence seems to have manifested particularly among a group of men who adopt traditionally feminine mannerisms and dress as a result of Kpop.
In a state like Mizoram, where peace is often taken for granted and the economy is in need of reform, there is a need for a revival of traditional traits of masculine men so that the state can grow and prosper in the coming years.Cause when sht hits the fan, all the female who promote gay men will be wanting the masculine men to save them
