Put the old plate in a folder just in case you need it. I replaced my plates on my grandfather's 1937 modle A. And my 1969 and 1970 ford 8000's.

I don't know how you grow so much food. Must be a full time job for both of you. It's a lot of work for me just growing a few gardens and canning some of our fruits and veggies for a family of 5. I can't devote so much time to it. But I do bulk buying or get good deals and preserve food in mylar bags, dehydrate, freeze, etc. Found cherries on sale at the store and I processed and canned 5 quarts plus 10 pints today. It took a long time pitting hundreds if not thousands of cherries. LOL. So I can only imagine how much work it is for you all to grow your own food. Melody Cline

Awesome exercise in patience and persistence. Did my heart good to actually watch someone do something extremely tedious, using what you had, instead of what you needed, and not curse a blue streak. You may have thought it, but you didn't say it. :)

I watched another video you and Wanda did on how much food you grow and can each year. Wow! I don't grow or raise all of our food, but I'm building my skills to keep growing and canning more. I just started pressure canning a couple of years ago, but have been waterbath canning for years. I harvested about 90 pounds of potatoes, 60 onions, several gallons of beans, etc. so it's a good supplementation. But I can say it takes an incredible amount of skill to raise or grow most all of your food and a LOT of work. Melody Cline

Looks like you might been able to get a bit extender thing to move the drill away from steering linkage.
I would of done a quick coat of rust converter on that bolster and then quick coat of IH red before I put that plate back on there. One less place for that rust to creep back out from under there.

Danny it going to look better but by knowing by my experience of a 1948 Ferguson by replacing with aftermarket part and doing it myself not being a professional I hurt the value of tractor just because I don’t have that piece of paper. F stands for the month of June is what they told me
