Your video was extremely helpful sir. The wife husband duo was a pleasure. God Bless 🇺🇸
Put the old plate in a folder just in case you need it. I replaced my plates on my grandfather's 1937 modle A. And my 1969 and 1970 ford 8000's.
I really enjoy watching the rebuild keep the videos coming
Cool i like that you explain as you go 👍👍
I don't know how you grow so much food. Must be a full time job for both of you. It's a lot of work for me just growing a few gardens and canning some of our fruits and veggies for a family of 5. I can't devote so much time to it. But I do bulk buying or get good deals and preserve food in mylar bags, dehydrate, freeze, etc. Found cherries on sale at the store and I processed and canned 5 quarts plus 10 pints today. It took a long time pitting hundreds if not thousands of cherries. LOL. So I can only imagine how much work it is for you all to grow your own food. Melody Cline
It is very time consuming.
Burch Store tractor parts has a lot of good quality parts for cub implements. They’re not cheap but good people to deal with. Love your channel!
Nice Cub, I have a 1951 Farmall Cub that I do a lot of mowing with!
I had a 1949 super A 10 sold it couple years back stupid mistake
Feel for you Mr. Danny. Used to do that almost every day and it definitely can test your patience drilling those out especially in hard to get to areas. Looks like a fun project!
Love the attention to detail.
Good morning!
screw rivets you can remove them if need be i use them all the time..if you need more of those let me know I have boxes of them..
Will do thanks.
Awesome exercise in patience and persistence. Did my heart good to actually watch someone do something extremely tedious, using what you had, instead of what you needed, and not curse a blue streak. You may have thought it, but you didn't say it. :)
Wow made in my city nice work on refurbishing the plate
Definitely takes time and patience
Hello
The first tractor I operated when I was 6 years old was a B Farmall. Raised on o farm in Texas.👍❤️
I watched another video you and Wanda did on how much food you grow and can each year. Wow! I don't grow or raise all of our food, but I'm building my skills to keep growing and canning more. I just started pressure canning a couple of years ago, but have been waterbath canning for years. I harvested about 90 pounds of potatoes, 60 onions, several gallons of beans, etc. so it's a good supplementation. But I can say it takes an incredible amount of skill to raise or grow most all of your food and a LOT of work. Melody Cline
Enjoy the cub video's. I want to get one myself
🌞 Good morning Danny and Wanda very interesting tool kit I enjoyed watching this video 👍
I do the same thing...Improvise overcome and adapt using a tool for what it wasn't intended for...
Looks like you might been able to get a bit extender thing to move the drill away from steering linkage.
I would of done a quick coat of rust converter on that bolster and then quick coat of IH red before I put that plate back on there. One less place for that rust to creep back out from under there.
That sure took a lot of patience. Can't rush jobs like that.
No time and patience
Where did you get the new ID plate made?
Morning y’all
A yellow handle Case knife is like tool box in it self.
Can you put the link up for the letter kit...sorry don't know the name...that's nice
Morning Y’all , that looks nice , steady as she goes, good job !
I hate drilling out anything. Just did easy ones on a 99 firebird window motor. I'm praying God forgives me for the things I've said when drilling out bolts. Lol carry on you two.
A drill bit extension would have work if you had one it would keep the chuck of the drill our of the way but you got it anyway. Have a great day. 🙂
Could you please tell me what size the number & letter stamp set is your using to stamp the tag, thank you.
You order a new plate but you didn’t say where you ordered it from.. Steiner?
No matter what the project there is always one screw that causes a problem.
Yup always 😂.... I just ran into that same issue today lol... I set up my daughters tv mount today and everything went smoothly until that last dang screw....
Isn't that the truth.
Yes!
I'm pretty sure you can get the cultivator parts you need from agri supply. It's been a while since I looked on their site but I remember them having the sweeps and wedges and probably the rest of it. Nice looking cub.
I ordered some things from them and was disappointed they all said made in China.
@@DeepSouthHomestead there isn't any new stuff being made in the states.
the i turned sideways is used for the dash
Not rivets, thems drive screws.
LoL there we go being politically correct.
That's a really cool tool set with the letters on it... What do they call that kind of kit?
It's a letter and number stamping kit can be used on metal or leather.
Where did you get those books for the Farmall? I would like to get those for my husband for our Farmall
They come as a set on Amazon 4 different book's.
@@DeepSouthHomestead thank you I will go look for then
Would it have not been easier if you just pried the aluminum plate off with a screwdriver and pulled the rivets out with bullnose pliers? just asking????? Lol I love watching your videos.
They were rivited to tight to the tractor. I thought of it.
👍
Danny it going to look better but by knowing by my experience of a 1948 Ferguson by replacing with aftermarket part and doing it myself not being a professional I hurt the value of tractor just because I don’t have that piece of paper. F stands for the month of June is what they told me
On the cub Farmall the letter on the series of numbers on each part stands for a particular year.
wHY DID YOU MAKE A NEW PLATE????
The other one was the wrong one.
Great job Danny, where did you order the new plate?
From Steiner's tractor parts.
My new ID plate came with all the same numbers as the original. Didn't have to punch anything on it.@@DeepSouthHomestead
👍💝
Are you going to try to get the paint off the old plate? Just curious.
No it's no good I just threw it away.
Use two hammers 👍
Danny that plate is upside down, 😊 just kidding.
U bent it that last hit
Yeah got a little carried away.
Why are you changing the plate.
It's the wrong plate. The front end is off an older tractor.
You needed an aircraft drill bit. In that size, they’re pretty common in 6” length.
I can send you copper/ brass rivets for free I sell big packs of them on eBay
Why change the plate?
Someone put an older front end under the tractor with the wrong plate on it . Had the wrong information on it.
