Yes i picked it up on the way home! was 7 miles in woods on a logging trail! just wanted it out of the road!
Well that socks. I had that happen with the wobbly wheel ..the it was rhe back break made the everything loose. Had a fender go off on me too but it broke off. And flew backwards. Had a muffler fall off too once. I didn't even notice that and was wondering why it was louder but kept hauling ass anyway. Noticed it when got home. Long as it stays running smooth shit can be flying off left and right and im.in my zone.
Good thing it wasn't the front fender 🤔
Could you imagine cheap aluminum rim🤔
I have dead friends from the front fender doing the same thing. I keep warning BBF of this...
I get why ppl want to keep fenders on there bikes because the look good and keep Mudd and water 💦 off ur back but if u want fenders like u said get plastic fenders so u don't die 😂
Honestly knew it wouldn't live long. Front is stainless with two break aways added. Back was steel. To be honest didn't think it would bend that rim if it did go though. That was 1/8 fold stainless rims. Old ,, USA made type that was 90 pounds of a Mtb Lol
I run plastic one's they could still mess you up but i feel they're less likely to just fall off
Glad you made it safely
That rim was 1/8 folded stainless lol. Honestly fact it even bent surprised me. Couldn't imagine an aluminum rim......
I have had this exact thing happen to me, but on pavement. Let me tell you, it was a scary situation. The rearwheel locked up on the fender. I only had the front brake, but when I tried it, the rear almost slid out on me. I slid for about 2 and a half blocks before I felt it was slow enough to stick my feet down and stop it. I was going 35 when that happened, and it was almost like riding on ice. It destroyed my rear wheel and tire. The friction actually got hot enough to melt the metal of the fender. It bent the rear half of the frame bad enough that I had to rebuild my bike.
I am glad you're ok, man. We all have to learn the hard way sometimes. At least this wasn't worse.
I been saying fenders kill for years. So said why not one time. 😂 Bam! My hope is people see how dangerous it is now out of this at least. Steel Wheel can be replaced. Couldn't imagine aluminum rim....
@BuildBreakFix I will admit I also knew the dangers of running fenders when I built my first bike. When I built my second bike after that, I still had fenders on it, but I reinforced the heck out of the mounting locations and used the disconnecting supports.
Yeah yeah yeah, we always learn the hard way.this is when a multi tool comes in handy. They even fit in your pocket!
I always keep my Gerber multi tool bracelet on. That's why I said I e f'n time I leave it.. 😂
Oooh, oooh, fender bender.
Glad that you alright my dude.
Yeah me too 😂
Plus all risk is on me I love your saw builds and the fact you ride test and put in real effort its inspiring
Ty ty! I figured I try real life show results. Let people get a realistic expectation of what you end up with. Instead of a 90 year old Google forum with 90% fluff you can't physically see only hope what they post is true kinda thing. I found 50% of what I read to be BS lol 😂
I've had a front fender let go, but luckily I was going slow and could stop before the tyre grabbed it
I had a front one go once 😆 but natural selection told me to add another 😂
I'm glad this happened safely. Taking your fenders off yet?
Hell no second coat of paint good to go 😂✌️
What a great example 😂good thing it happened how it did so you didn’t get hurt definitely dangerous thanks for sharing it bro ride safe
Yeah really could have eaten rock on that one with a long walk of shame home 😂
lol 😂 don’t sound like fun lol ride safe bro
Lol a Real Fender Bender 💪🏼💯💨💨💨
The problem is with the hoop braces, never run them they are designed for a regular bicycle not a motorized bike. Think motorcycles, they use separate braces on each side of fender. If you have the hoop braces take them off, and if you need braces cut them into 2 pieces. I also use 2 zip ties on each fender as a extra security measure. Fenders are okay, install them proper with good hardware, check them regular and never use the closed or hoop braces.
Another good option is to bob the fender to where it doesn't need support.
My front one was cut in the center. Two halves bolted to a plate to the fender. Pull out of that happens. Sadly never did the back yet and we'll.... Bam 😂 lesson learned hard way. Thank God it went as well as it did.
I can't afford to buy a billet bottom end yet I wanted a lot of vids and I think your the best budget builder yet
Ty ty appreciate that!
i was goin like 40 mph one time and i had a plastic fender zip tied to the fork. headwind pushed it down into the tire. and it got sucked through my front suspension fork. i could feel the resistance of the zip ties snapping as the fender got sucked backwards through my fork. surprisingly it was that plastic that doesnt break. I have no idea how it was still in one piece. but it was apparently flexible and its still fine.
Alive to tell the tail 😂
Ooh bummer 😢 buddy I got some bike build coming up soon .
Bikes fixed already 😂. Took me hour make new back wheel. But figured might as well show why there so dangerous since it failed
Good ole zip ties,, I swear by them never lost a fender yet
And a added plus it has the ghetto " I'm broke as a two dollar watch look 🤣🤣🤣
Lol zip ties fix everything!
Glad you did not "high side". No fenders.....or plastic only!
Had feelings back would go some point. Rim so thick walled. Folded.... Couldn't imagine a aluminum rim...
So happy your safe brother wow!!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
One hell of e brake 😂
Man that why I take my Fenders off my bike and you still have your bike lol my bike is still in the shop
I Got lucky 😏
@@BuildBreakFix most definitely was lucky 😀
If it ain’t sketchy it ain’t fun😝
😂 since when is an engine on a bicycle not out of the gate lol. Second scary part is half that build one can't figure out how to change brake pads 😜✌️
@@BuildBreakFix LOL me I haven’t had a build yet with discs😝
Good thing you didn't get hurt when mine did it yes I did it to it had just started to pull it in and it shaved my tire I check it off to learning experience because I'm hardheaded 😂lol
😂
😮 holy smokes! You're lucky your tire didn't "pop" or collapse.... and a 7 mile walk through the those woods..no thank you...glad you didn't get hurt! Now we know NO FENDERS!
Alive 😆
Thanks!
Ty ty 🪛😜✌️
2024 ain't here yet bud don't jinx us lol all fenders aren't created equal good thing u didn't get hurt 💪🏼💯
Sure it is lol Japan for example 😂
@BuildBreakFix don't get me started that place is insane I wanna go lol
@BuildBreakFix happy new one bro go get em 💪🏼💯💨💨💨💨
Any link for those Pittsburgh steelers rims I need some since I was hit by a car bro bent my crank arm gotta bang that off can't find a good vid on how to remove the crank
Take the pedals off and use two big 1" steel tubes. Bend that sucker 😆
@BuildBreakFix OK bet soon as my shoulder pops back in to place hope I don't need surgery this shyt weird bro lol fractured ankle and foot then I think my spine shifted or is outta place hospital didn't do shit had fetynol for the first time emt dudes were cool as fuk then they threw me In a corner for 4 hours lol got me a Uber home and now im just going to the Back an spine guy but what really hurts is my shoulder and foot my back is basically numb It sucks bro hope I get a good day after all said n done
@@Spacecruizer203I'm glad that your getting better 😊
Can you do a video on the hs 660 rod specs if not I guess I'll build a hs 460
I did already 😆 full timing video even.czcams.com/video/Digi619TixI/video.html
Lol heheeeehaa love the laugh 😂
Mad hat'er bro all the way! Lol top of the morning governor 🤣
@@BuildBreakFix lmao hell yeah give em HELL SiR 💪🏼💯💨💨💨💨
Hello I'm new to building motorized I'm just now working on my first one, I did not know not to keep the front fender on, is it possible for me to buy clip-on fenders that have adjustable clearance
Metal fenders always kill people on these. 100% losing bet lol everyone has tried! 😆 I'm even guilty of it has one last year about kill me trying actually. Plastic clip on a work great. Anything break away is good though. Key words are (break away)
I live in Canada used to be a machinistso I think I can manage building the bottom end can u send me the piston pin conversion kit
I stopped selling parts. So much mail theft in United States especially the borders I have up edit: use phantom 85 bottom half or Crank. Already correct size for 12mm wrist pins or a 110cc bottom half crank is also ready to use
Wow , you got away unhurt .
Tried to tell everyone 2 weeks ago almost got killed by a fender. 😆
❤😂🎉wow 😳
It was super sketch 😂
Seems like hs 660 is the easiest to build dont have so slot the cylinder holes bit need connecting rod information
You mean ms660? Saw build I may be confusing something else. If it's a saw build Ms460 actually is the easiest one to build. Not sure what a hs 660 is though
So what you're saying is, 'No fenders'? ;)
It all depends on how much you value life 😂
Happened to me exactly the same rear fender became a number 8, lucky no damage to the rims tire etc, front fender out straight away, installed 2 small fenders 150mm in the front and rear protect nothing but looks cool
Fender = 💀
Got lucky there dude.
Na! Kept going. 😂. Grabbed fender the way home! Shhh.... Luck as mofo lolz
@@BuildBreakFix Don't play FAFO bro, you're more intelligent than that.this was bad, glad you came thru the other side .
I had a front pop on me last summer, those are the deadly ones. I'm lucky that it happened leaving a stop sign and not on the downhill going to the sign.
Rears, not as dangerous but still plenty dangerous. Either don't run a fender or use heavier grade mounting hard ware with more rigid mounting straps, like it's a moped... cause these are mopeds.
Yeah my front one actually has a break away. Rims where old school MTB stainless rims. If that was aluminum my god ..... Would of been bad
@@BuildBreakFix having tacod a few aluminum 26s doing BMX and downhill, oh yeah that would have probably require a ride in the weewoo wagon.
? BBF IS THE 4STROKE 100CC MOTORIZED BICYCLE KIT ANY GOOD
It's wonderful. I have loved mine 4 years now never had issue. 1 pull Everytime. Takes some fighting mounting one. But after it's all done it's 👍
czcams.com/video/HmsYJ174Dj8/video.htmlsi=qGdZ0Hks38lqnN2t 2 years ago made that video still going no different except I put ape hangers on it.
@@BuildBreakFix thanks brother I appreciate it
u lucky it was the back; and not the front. it was three days ago I said the fenders are killers
Yeah front is break away 😆 I left the back. Rims where 1/8 stainless figured if it went worse the case popped a tire. But damn .... Bent that rim as well. Could you imagine an aluminum rim...... I hope the video detours some now from running fenders. I have been bitching for years about how bad they are.one time I do it bam 😂
right, just imagine I was on the highway slash driveway turning in at about 15mph and I never busted my ass lol when it twisted to the left to start the slide I was pumping my legs and I'm 48 I'll say this I don't want to do it again to old lol
Those type of fenders*
All the fenders will kill you. Seriously. Vibration fatigues the metal and it cracks. I get brought bikes here constantly. 1 fender killing a bike every 2 months I get. Only reason mine didn't go bad was the stainless steel rims saved me.
@BuildBreakFix plastic fenders that just bolt to the forks couldn't have done that. Usually it's just metal fenders with rods or spokes that then bolts to the wheel axles.
I know you took my website down and I can see why you wouldn't want to give away some secrets you've learned can you just build me a ms 660 motor I live in Canada though and yes I'll pay you
I did an entire build series even did a cut in half timing video in detail 😂 not sure what you're talking about. I stopped selling them cause I got screwed on 5 pallets of parts being sent to me that never arrived because of all scumbag thieves now
FAFO
Still alive. New wheel on try again tomorrow. 😜✌️
Word of advice the reason why this happens is cheap Chinese fenders and the bolts that were holding it together is rivets and shit I changed that shit into HeavyDuty Steel bolts also the other reason why the fender came loose is because the vibrations from the engine made the bolts fly off where the fender Mount if you look closely at it you see the bolts are gone me I don't have that problem with my four stroke engine :3 you're lucky your rear wheel didn't taco and crash most people that shit happens to
Remember safety first check out everything before you ride always
That rim was 1/8 rolled u beam. Old 60s rim lol. Thing could withstand a atomic blast lol. But damn still folded some
@@BuildBreakFix that's because the bottom bolts where the bracket connects to between the rear wheel and the fender came loose I used a long bolt and nut washer with a double nut and locks up together so it doesn't move!
Sort of like a double tie down
