I started talking to this girl I met 3 months ago and I believe we share all 5 of these deep feelings for each other. We have not stopped talking to each other since. We have hung out and spent quality time together about 6 times. We both share our thoughts and emotions to each other as we both trust each other. We ensure that we are both feeling OK that day. We share items with each other (movies, video games ect), we send each other songs that we may like and also memes. I'm very attracted to her and I believe she is with me. We both stated we do not want to rush anything and do not want to force anything out of respect of letting things happen on its own. I believe there is going to be a perfect time to truly express my feelings to her and ask her to be my girlfriend, and honestly, I'm hoping it happens really soon!

Try raising your standards for the type of people you allow to be in your life, and have a close relationship with you. Decide what you want in a friend/partner, and what you don’t want. Decide what behaviors, and attitudes you will, and will not tolerate. Know yourself, your values, and your character, and stay true to them, and stand firm by them. And then decide who you WANT to be a part of your life. If you’re current friends or romantic partner is not doing any of these things for you, if not ALL of these things, then you have some choices to make. You can either cut ties completely with those who don’t match your “Preferred Type” or you can let them know how they make you feel, and how you’d like them do do things differently, or at least ask if they are willing to try and put some effort into improving and strengthening y’all’s relationship. See how that goes. People show you exactly how they feel about you. Especially when times are at the toughest, and you are at ur lowest.
Also, the only way you can ever do this and expect others to be receptive to it, and for this to be morally okay, is if you, yourself, portray every single quality and meet every single standard that you are expecting out of others, and then take your efforts and investments into those relationships and multiply them by 2X. Then, and only then, are you justified to ask someone to meet you where you are willing to meet them, and go above and beyond for them. And keep your circle very small. You’ll be able to invest more time and energy in each relationship when you’re not overwhelmed by having to keep up with so many. Good luck.

It's difficult to identify 'deep feelings' when both partners have trauma, financial difficulties, and attachment issues. Things are improving as we agree more and are both willing to negotiate.
I had a best friend who was like this with me while I was in a crappy situationship. He had sworn off all relationships, but all these elements were there. Although we didn’t have a physically intimate relationship at all, only ever hugged, he was a better boyfriend than that other guy. It wasn’t just the deep conversations and the emotional connection, he also made sure I was eating, took out garbage for me and took me to events. Even got me nice local chocolates on my birthday.

They probably did have feelings for you, its a classic avoidant behavior because they cant really bring themselves to be hurt again so they refuse to put a label on it despite getting most of the behaviors associated with relationships. My girlfriend was like this before I wanted to go further with it but I know how to not ask for too much and yet they almost always deliver.
I know this is probably more focused on romantic relationships, but I see all these things in myself with my closest friends, and each of them have showed me at least 2 of these in return ❤

the thing is, I do all 5 of these with all of my friends…I don’t feel like I have a deep emotional connection, especially romantic, at all with anyone. I don’t want to seem cold or mean but I also don’t want people getting the wrong idea :(
I learned the hard way that none of this means a damn thing. Humans are extremely complex, because all life is. It's best to just be forward and ask someone if they have feelings for you, or if you're the one with feelings, just tell the other person if you aren't afraid to alter or lose the friendship.
I agree. Watching these videos makes you feel good and falsely believe someone is into you. I know a girl who I had deep intimate conversations with, talking about childhood trauma, her being protective, her being emotionally invested, and we had intellectual conversations, but when I asked her for a date, she made it clear she only saw me as a friend. It was the first time I felt I had a deep connection with a girl, and it hurt that she had no feelings for me beyond friendship. It also made me question my ability to gauge interest levels.

It’s ok to want a romantic relationship, but also being content without a partner is good to have first. This can easily be applied to family members or friends or a teacher or coworker as well. If you say you have no one chances are you havent put yourself out there long enough to get other people to know you better. Yah you gotta put yourself out there instead of going in your room😂
Omg this was such a helpful video for me! I'm totally into this girl, and have been for over a year, but we've been best friends for five years. I've only come to terms with my sexuality less than a year ago, and I confessed to her that I had deeper feelings for her. Sadly she said she wasn't sure she felt the same, but our friendship didn't change one bit and we're closer than ever. We basically do all these things for each other though, which is why I still get confused even after trying to get over her romantically for a long time. Only recently, I've noticed a large difference in how "protective" she is over me and how people treat me. For example if my other friend flirts with me (jokingly) she'll step in and get really mad, or move herself between us physically. She has been showing the other signs lately too and we've talked about it in private, only for her to reveal to me that she's been feeling different about me recently and is trying to figure out what that is. This video (for me) was very accurate in behaviours to look out for if someone may like you, or if you need some idea's on how you should be around someone you really love.
Edit: Its only been 11 days since I posted this, but i have an update (that no one asked for but whatever)
So I decided to bring it up again with her after watching this video so we talked about how we felt about possibly being together, and while she's still figuring out her sexuality "label" or if she just doesn't want a label, she has told me she knows she loves me and wants to be with me. We are now officially together (secretly- until we feel safe enough to come out) but it all seems to have worked out :)
I hope that whatever the outcome of your relationship with your friend is, that it is a benefit to the both of you.

Well, she can't string you along for too long while also sabotaging and getting in the way of other potential relationships you might have. She'll have to make up her mind soon enough or you might miss out on another opportunity.
@@joelkelly3225 I understand that, and she seems to as well. I have tried to move on from her a while ago, but only recently has she started to realise a change in her own feelings. For her, its a lot of personal things which has been making it a little difficult to figure this out and honestly all she asked for was a little time and patience, which I feel is perfectly reasonable. She has told me she would never want to get in the way of any other relationships I have and she has expressed her concerns of what some of her actions could do to affect my life, which i really appreciate her realising and she's definitely trying to calm down and figure out things for herself. You have made a very valid point though, one that I have thought about, but at this moment in time I'm perfectly fine with waiting to see how this turns out. It isn't severely affecting any of our other relationships, and if another opportunity for either of us were to come up I think we'd be pretty chill with it. Thank you for the comment though.

@@onnie1036 I can't be close because that means I'll have to open up about my problems. Nobody wants to hear that so I get left behind. I don't mind helping people through their issues if I can, but I never expect the same to happen for me. If I have a problem I bottle it up. I'm just a helper.

I had this problem as well for the first 15 years of my life, then I met a guy and we instantly became very good friends. We trust each other with our lives.
Basically what I want to say is that you can have a lot of friends, but even a hundred friends are nothing compared to just one true friend (speaking from my own experience).

To the all it won't ever be me commenters, it takes time, being vulnerable, and dedication to build this type of relationship with someone. And it requires they also put in that kind of commitment to it to make it work. And unfortunately it doesn't always work out but it's better to have loved/been loved than to have never tried. If one person did than another will. And for those you have yet to have your moment. 1) don't waste time on one sided 2) chin up and keep trying just focus more on personality and in time you will find that special person. Just keep working on you and building your life and meeting people and it will happen.

Watching this gave me a huge smile, my boyfriend is the BEST! HE IS SO KIND AND UNDERSTANDING.. he doesn't push me to do anything, and he always ask when I wanna be hugged or even rub my legs, or hold my hands. He ask more things like this but more seriously, like depression and my hard trauma. He is so patient with me, and I love him. Knowing we do ALL OF THESE together just makes me feel even more loved. We are even planning on marriage and having kids together, but.. that's a huge stepping stone haha.. 😅

Im absolutely affirmitive, noone would ever possibly develop feelings for me.
I remember giving someone 4/5 of these. I was vulnerable and told him. But I felt invalidated and said I shouldn't be feeling that way and shares his own story. Like he never got mad at his mother, so I shouldn't too. I really felt invalidated. I withdrew basically ghosted him. He's a nice guy but I can't with him. Another guy on the other hand, he'd always listen and really protective of me, comforts and reassures me whenever I needed. We talk everyday before he sleeps even though I told him we don't need to talk everyday because he's too busy and tired everyday but he insisted we talk.

Even though I've yet to experience this since I'm only 15, but I feel I will be the one developing deep feelings if I ever meet 'the one' for me. I tend to be very subconsciously affectionate towards people I care about, and all the things that were mentioned in this video are things I see myself doing with people I care about. I'm just hoping that I find that one person for me, cuz when I fall, I fall HARD, and I want that to only be reserved for that one person

It makes me wonder if a certain co-worker back when I was stationed in Korea had feelings for me and just kept it to himself because of certain irreconcilable differences in beliefs and values. But when a customer came in and started acting off and said things about me that weren't true while he was off and then was told by a supervisor who knew we were close friends, he was furious! It wasn't until the day I was at the terminal, waiting to fly back to the states that he had told me he found that guy and had put the fear of God in him and only another Superior knew about it! It never would have worked between us because I'm a Christian and he isn't, but I know he truly cared about me and I did appreciate his friendship.

Recently I've been spending a lot of time helping this special girl with her dissertation. Search for relevant literature, test the reliability of the data-gathering instruments, the works. idk man, im a girl and i started liking this one guy in my classes, we don’t know eachother, so i decided to gather all my courage and talk to him! I felt nervous making the first move and telling him i want to get to know him and ask if he wanted to hangout in a platonic way, but he said he was taken. It was a lie though, he doesn’t have a s/o. It does sadden me because he is a really nice guy and i don’t know what caused him to lie to me. Sometimes in class we would make eye contact and smile, and even when i asked him if he wanted to hangout he smiled a lot. Maybe he’s shy? idk..

Love is very unpredictable 💕. You might not have found romantic partner in your life yet but it doesn't mean that there couldn't be one for you... You can end up in the greatest relationship in couple of months, year from now or in couple years. Personally I did experience something like this when I met my boyfriend on Tinder just before Christmas last year and now we have been in relationship for 10 months 💕. And this is my first ever relationship that started when I was 19. And I'm sharing this to let others know it is okay to experience your first relationship later in life and not having your first kiss until you are in your early twenties (or even later in life). And the most important tips about dating is to be yourself and stay safe! 💕🥰

You might think this sounds weird but I had this classmate that I’ve liked for years. She became my best friend and then when the pandemic hit we were always texting and calling each other during quarantine. One day I confessed to her about my feelings and she ghosted me for a while until like a few weeks later she admits that she did like me back too but she was just too nervous to tell me. We stayed friends. After the pandemic was over and we went back to school we never hanged out again she has her own friends to hang out with and so do I. If I ever hang out with her it’s rare and awkward. But when I see her in the hallways she smiles and waves at me. When I get back home I see that she texts me a lot saying stuff like "I regret not talking to you I really want to but I’m nervous." Or "I wanna hang out with you so badly but we’re so awkward with each other." And I’m just so confused on how she feels about me sorry if it makes zero sense English isn’t my first language

This is easy, she likes you though she gets super nervous around you. When people have a lot of feelings then we also have the same amount of nervousness. So she might stutter her words or get confused a bit around you this is the nervousness coming out. This happens more the younger we are, we get better at hiding this the older we get. I would say to keep on messaging each other and keep things normal between you. Try not to over think or worry that she dosnt like you. (This is normal) waving and smiling means she likes you at the very least so take that as a good sign. I wish you the best
In my experience, these kind of actions are simply a ploy on the part of the other person to get a quick sense of validation. To most people I have met, I have been a tool to be used and discarded.

Dating apps work but they can be pretty shallow. Personally I would go to social events/ places where I can meet people similar to myself (libraries) as it’s more personal and logical in my mind.

@Psych2go When things get hard, she shuts down, gets distant, and doesn't seem to want to work towards fixing things. She's asked me what she can do that I need from her because I do so much, and all I really want from her is to communicate with me better. For example, if something is bothering her, even if it's something I'm doing, I want to know so it won't be a problem anymore, but she keeps saying there's nothing she can think of. She's ignoring her own feelings and thoughts to try and keep things good, but that will lead to resentment. I want to be there for her and do anything I can to make her life easier because she's so busy and tired all the time.
I don't want to start to think that one of my best friends likes me, even though he does all these things I feel I would get friend zoned.. I really am not sure, I wanna ask someone about it, but they would tell him.. the other day I asked if anyone had any food at lunch, since I was still hungry after I ate, and he gave me his granola bar, I think he was just being nice, I really don't know, does anyone know if he might like me?

I’m into a girl at the moment, but it’s hard to tell if she likes me back. When we talk together in person, she’s super cool and funny and we have really deep and late conversations (mostly after our anime club which is on Thursday and Friday nights). But when we make plans to get together, it’s hard for me to tell if she just thinks of us as friends or not, since I know she is a bit shy and hasn’t been in a relationship. But it does feel we’re hiding something from each other since we felt awkward when someone joked we were a couple. Does anyone have any advice?
Try hinting at the idea to her. Find ways to do it indirectly without making it awkward.

And after someone joked we were a couple, she seemed a little embarrassed but it looked like she didn’t mind? I’m pretty sure we would have talked way longer yesterday but I had to leave like 30 minutes after
@@jonscallion8576 tbh i think theres a very good chance she likes you because as you mentioned she hasn't been in a relationship before and you also said she is shy so she's probably hiding her feelings from u. As scary as it may be you're going to most likely have to be the one to make the first move lol. Maybe try acting like you like her just a tiny little bit more to make it more obvious to her that you may like her in case she hasn't noticed anything already but be careful with that. At the end of the day if this stretches too long and nothing happens id just risk it and maybe ask the question cuz whats life without a bit of risk ? Im not the expert on these topics tho my personal experience with this kinda stuff is 0 😞🤣 hope this helps , wish u luck with her mate 😉
