Excellent video!! Congrats.
very good videos man thank you.
Sauber geschafft, gefällt mir gut.😀
What kind of airplane is it?
That is one cute lil girl!! For me and my wife!!
A nice video, but the music was a monotonous distraction that I feel we could have done without.
Very good video.
great video ! but i couldn't stop drooling over the porter in the hanger lol
Too easy! Fun film.
Enjoyed watching. You look like you are having fun. Kudos.

I think there was about 1 liter of old oil left in the engine after this check.
I've been doing it for 30 years and I drain the oil warm right after the engine test.
And after draining the oil, I disconnect the kables from the spark plugs.
Then I pump the old oil out of the engine by turning the propeller.
Hi great video - thanks.
Please excuse my ignorance - what type is the aeroplane (and is it a microlight/ultralight)?
Thanks!
No carb sync? Check on leakage bore?
Nice video. Rotax comments to have the engine warm when doing oil change. I would also suggest to clean the oil reservoir. Great job!
Thx! The Engine was preheated with a litte warm-up run. And you are right - we clean the reservoir every second or third service :)
@@BobRove I never cleaned my 912's oil tank in over 2,000 hours/10 years. After uneventfully reaching TBO (and then some) I sold the old engine and bought a new one, while the engine was out I took the tank off:clean as a whistle! NO AVGAS, always mogas probably helped.
Why does the differential pressure of the cylinders see it at 50 Psi? I have the 912S Maintenance Manual and it says, approximately 80PSI.
any videos regarding overload cluch check procedure
Kinda random, but how can I get one of those t-shirts you're wearing?
Very good and to the point. No wasted time. You can work on my plane anytimeThanks
thx Oliver!
You are welcome to bring your bird to EDFL and we will have a look ;-))
I watched a coworker give himself a concussion and a few stitches because he wasn’t paying attention during a Lycombing 0-360 compression check. 😬
I notice your not using Rotax spark plugs which have a double spark gap.
We're running an experiment at the moment.
One 914 running Rotax plugs, the other is running NGK DPR9EA.
No verdict yet.
Anyone else have any input ??
Sorry, compression check must be done at 200 hrs. And where is air filter?
А так, молодец, все грамотно сделал
When I served my apprenticeship I was told NOT to use a wire brush to clean spark plugs??
Hi barrie, dont use a brush with coarse steel wires, but use a fine one with finer brass wires
I was taught to put air pressure in the oil tank to push it into the oil pump. Is that wrong?
Hi Paul, no thats not wrong - and indeed necessary if you remove all the Oil from the System :-) But the practice showed, if you do not fully drain the System, you will get back Oilpressure within seconds even without additional pressurizing the Oilreservoir. So we always change Oil the "quick way": Drain and close Reservoir and remove and replace Filter without further "Prop Turning" and "Bleeding". Works nice on many machines here and since 15 years and thousands of hours...
Hi I’m a student in singapore doing a final year project where it involves rotax 912 project and is impress by how well u guys know the engine. Is there a way to contact and get to learn the engine through you guys? I have 0 knowledge on it and it’s taking me quite awhile to learn the engine.
What kind of a plane is that?
Can i help u i am working on my Rotax powered plane in KL.
Can contact me up North. 016.2741617.
Do you need to balance the carbs at 100 hrs??
Hi Gord. yes, you can ballance the carbs at 100 hrs - no problem. But if the engine runs smooth and nice and the Left & Right EGTs are nice and even, there is no need to Sync the Carbs "just for fun" ;-))
Filter was tight.
What kind of plane is that? It is a lil cutie!
European rules ultralight FK9
Thank you
Hi, What 912 model and aircraft is that?
Hi Sergio, its an FK9 mk3 Ultralight Airplane with a ROTAX 912 UL / 80 BHP
You can tell by the colour of rocket covers. Black 80hp Green 100hp Red 912 iS
Red is 914 (Turbo), the 912 iS is also green but has additional green covers over the cylinders on each side for the injection system.
Bayraktar tb2 engine
All the time and care, then uses biggest P.O.S. torque wrench.
:-)))) yes - but this thing works not that bad and we tested the Torque settings and they have been pretty accurate
The music is too much noise. Wrecks the vid.
