The way Falin's body is animated this episode is incredible. It actually looks "realistic" despite the fact that no real animal has this kind of anatomy. The wings work correctly in that they actually fold DOWN and can't really stand up like you often see in artistic depictions of winged but four-legged fantasy creature, and the place where they join the body looks "correct" when they move even as the front legs move around at the same time. The front legs also function beautifully while being a weird cross between a bird's and a theropod's, showing the range of movement and usage accurate for that kind of hybrid anatomy. The windup for the tail strike is also just perfect. Trigger definitely did their homework - and then some - for this episode.

Notice the detail of how Fallin stared at the Undine? like she was curious about what she was seeing? and how her hand was raising towards Kuro like she was gonna try to pet him because he's a dog (kobold)?
Small details like that to show that a bit of Fallin's personality is still in there with the Dragon's. That sense of Curiosity she has like Laios' is still alive.

I don't think they'll directly clear the air about the treasure bugs since last ep Kabru decided immediately that it was probably a misunderstanding and didn't care anymore. I think his concern about Laios is pretty valid though

11:53 ‘Black’ magic is colloquially forbidden/taboo, likely directly _because_ it’s absurd-powerful and overpowers normal magic rules (due to drawing its raw power from a dimension where infinity exists). That’s what Marcille was explaining two episodes ago.

one thing form the episode i thought was really interesting was the contrast between laios and kabru. a couple eps ago kabru was fighting the water monster creature and wanted to aim for its vital organs but didnt know where they were, meanwhile against falin he aims for the throat, the lungs, kidney and throat exactly. compared to him, laios knows pretty exactly the anatomy of monsters and even when he doesn't he can quickly figure them out to take them down. this is interesting to me because kabru hates monsters and is obsessed with people, and only knows how to fight people, whereas laios loves monsters and has no care for human society, but excels at monster slaying. its a fun dynamic they have.

Like I clEarly don’t know what you don’t like about me, how do you expect me to read you? I’m not a mind reader, and they always at some point explode at you and grow to resent you. I’ve lost friends over this and have been bullied afterwards by said friends, I’m always so lost after.. if they had told me then I would’ve tried to for example, stim less around them, talk about a certain subject less or act a specific way less around them- but you know what I’ve learnt? Dark Magic is just a common term to define Ancient Magic which is too powerful and could be misused.
So, it's likely that the people governing the Magical Society banned it's usage, so that they could keep it in order. From a normal person's standpoint, he's right. They're fucking with things that have grave consequences. His beloved's soul is mixed with a monster's that is being controlled by the Dungeon's Lord who's super powerful, far beyond any person in that group. He's being realistic about his choices because what Marcille did is illegal and punishable by law and he only sees what they did to Falin as unnecessary suffering.
If you didn't catch it, he doesn't see Laios as capable, hence his doubt and outbursts, not to mention that he's tired, hungry and just not in a good state of mind. His actions are understandable at the very least.

9:45 true, but look at what happened to her.
Basiclaly black/dark magic is magic against laws of creation/life itself, hence the latter many elves and gnomes want to know about why this dungeon doesn’t fully let ppl die. In lore the world literally died at one point because of that magic until eventually brought back to life.
To add why shuro is so aggressive on dark magic use, if I remember right the reason the islands was made is because of dark magic. It used to be a continent or one big island until literally shattered by someone using that magic.

11:45 it’s called black magic on following things.
    1. The creator is a huge crpg (control/computer rpg) fan. Games like dragon age, baldurs gate, pathfinder, divinity original sin and so on. Baldurs gate is part of dungeons and dragons.
    2. Because it’s part of dnd old dnd used white/black magic terminology because well… it was the 80s, creator Gary gygax pretty much didn’t hold back his views of women and other ethnic ppl (this was in forum posts around late 90s/early 2000s. He passed around 2008), plus at time the ingrain mentality most Americans (mainly white) have in society so that shaped what dnd is. Black magic is destructive/cursed, white is healing/blessing. If you use black magic by default society see you as dangerous while using white magic you are useful to society.
    3. Same logic for dragons. In dnd there is chromatic and metallic dragons. Metallic are good while chromatic are bad. What’s difference?
Chromatic: gold, silver, bronze, and similar colors.
Metallic: black, red, green and such colors.
Chromatic are viewed as helpful/more valued fo civilization be knowledge, money, laws and such. while metallic is viewed as dangerous to civilizations and not valued so adventures are encourage fo seek and kill them on sight. See a pattern here?

What does this have to do using it?
      - dnd arrived to Japan late 80s, magic terms come from that.
      - dnd became ingrained in japans themes for fantasy so they use that to this date. Final fantasy also have use of black/white magic wifh classes like black and white mages.

Shuro frustrates me for two reasons.
    1) Because he reminds me of kids who didn't like me for the exact same neurodivergent tendencies.
2 (and the bigger reason)) Because while he finds these traits of Laios's personality loathsome, he loves Falin for the same reason. Only difference is Falin can read social situations, mostly because she's friends with Marcille.
It's not fully explained but that scene with the caterpillar?
Shuro loves bugs but whenever he tried to impress girls with them, they ran, grossed out. So seeing Falin gaze in wonder at a bug surprised him. She also doesn't behave like the women he's normally, as we see with his retainers.
In the manga omake, Laios asked a magic mirror what everyone he's met would be like as the opposite sex. Female Shuro would've fallen in Laios.
In the most possible reality, Shuro loves the idea of Falin.
And at the end, Shuro and Laios come to a better understanding. Because Shuro doesn't hate Laios, but ENVIED him.

@mila2394 yeah, Shuro gets the hate for the wrong reason. It's fine if you hate him, but don't get him twisted like that. He does find eating monsters freaky but he doesn't hate Laios for loving monsters.

Laios never respected his personal space but Falin gave him comfort the entire party doesn't have. And they are two different people

Yes, Marcille and Laios might have done things in a bad way to save Falin, but Shuro doesn't have the right to talk big like that to them. That time wasn't easy for them too. Where was he when Laious had to find a way to save Falin from the dragon? Was he around?
I felt bad for Marcille. She was just desperate. She didn't deserve such hate.
