- This is my unboxing, assembly, and first ride impressions of the Segway X260 Dirt eBike (electric dirt bike) - it's incredible! I love how quiet and clean it runs, but still crazy fast and powerful with that massive battery and motor. Estimated range is ~75 miles, top speed approx 46 MPH (75 KMH).

I bought a SurRon, one of the last Red ones. I love it! I think I would have gone for the Segway because of the App feature. Only problem, I had been away from motorcycles long enough that just scanning the options list I thought SuperMoto was something to do with Motocross, so I checked the box and got 17” wheels and road racer tires. Better for the street but a little slippery when chasing the dog. But I love it. I don’t think the belt option was available when I ordered. I’ve had mine @ an indicated 75 kph. I had an Onyx RCR @ the same time, but sold because I never rode it, I’d always grab the SurRon. I’m old and don’t weigh much( #;130) and the suspension on the SurRon is much more appropriate for me. Also, it just looks like it is more professionally designed and built. Thanks for the video/review.

I normally remove kick stands. don't need them on electric bikes no fluids to leak out.

Your brake levers can be moved in quite a bit. The expectation is for one or two-fingered usage only, and the outer two fingers stay wrapped around the bar

I just unboxed and put together a Sur-Ron Light Bee yesterday. It is so similar in so many ways - even the 2 ratchet straps exactly the same 2 colors. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the parts are interchabable.

Not yet. You go camping for a weekend and can only ride it one day? Maybe with a few spare batteries, or a large panel array on an RV and a spare battery to charge while out. Also a ICE motorcycle will still blow it away for performance. Not saying it won't be fun though.
The biggest issue I see is $5K for a bike that will probably only work for 5years, while I have a cheaper (when new) 1998 motorcycle that I still ride and functions perfectly. Put 15K miles on that and let's see what is left. They are neat, but still a niche market bike.
Dude has RC airplanes, electric scooters and a Ryobi riding mower... we are the same. lol I never owned a Segway product until my Ninebot electric unicycle and I have been sold on Segway products now.

On looks alone Segway looks to be on its way back....Just remember though that my Ewheel Veteran Sherman can hit 50 mph and the range is over 100....That is not to take away from the rugged looks on that bad boy but it would be more of an offroader mountain trail bike deal rather then the everyday pavement commuter. Perhaps Mountain Dew should be notified and a few Tee shirts printed up. 😊
