Yes, I work as an assistant in a dentist and they should really care for them properly because they are expensive as heck đ
really?? how expensive??
also, what's REALLY so special about them??? what is the diffeence between them and a precision set of pliers??
@@Zeeboklown they can go up to $1,000 just for one. Depending on what company that makes them. What makes them special is that there are special coatings that is used for these instruments to be completely sterile. Also, when it gets washed through a mechanical washer/disinfector. They are being washed with high level disinfectants (soaps) that also break down blood and mucus (perfect example, snot) based proteins (stuff like HIV, Hep A B & C, so on and so forth). Plus, it uses a special lubricant to prevent any quick rusting to damage the instruments.
@@Zeeboklown also, regular pliers are made with different metals. I've had a tooth pulled WITH anesthetic an NO pain and that shit traumatized me! I can't even comprehend the pain without anesthetic.
Same here, it was the worst!
That was my childhood and everyone wonders why Iâm terrified to go there.
When I had a tooth pulled I felt it when they pulled It out. Ever since then I have anxiety even thinking about going to the dentist, because that split moment was agony.
I'll tell you that if your tooth has an abscess that there's no amount of pain that the dentist could ever do to compare to what you'll feel with that tooth left in your head or without a root canal.
Pulling a tooth is never as painful.
Sadly for me, I have a super high tolerance to anesthetic and have to have more than the normal doses, and even then I can usually feel something still. Damn red hair.
I had a tooth abscess last year and needed a root canal. Seven vials of anaesthetic and I could still feel the root canal. The abscess leaked and my face blew up like a balloon. Messing with that stuff could actually get you killed.

As someone who has had teeth taken out....why? Even just getting the anaesthetic which is done using a huge needle being jammed into the nerves of your gums incredibly slowly is painful and then sometimes it doesn't numb all the way so you have to get more injections than necessary, and then when actually pulling the tooth out, bruh the whole pulling and everything and pressure around your head and how it is actually really aggressive is hell - and them when the anaesthetic wears off it makes you wish you could just pass out
