Longines timepieces draw from this expertise and illustrate the durability that is the brand’s signature, as well a consistent desire to honor history.
That is a beauty indeed. I'd love a Longines moonphase. Thanks much for showing us this one.
They have so many great models to choose from , one just cant go wrong with any of them Matthew
Thanks for calling this watch to my attention. Reminds me of the Omega pie pan dials, and Globemaster models today.
I see where your coming from there with its curved dial and single sub dial , even the hour makers are similar
Thanks for a great review, well done !
Thanks Joseph 👍🏻
Great content as always - keep up the reviews.
Thank you Sir :)
Cheers Sir :)
You and Teddy convinced me to get it. Thank you!
Cheers but I think he pulls a bit more weight than my little channel Sir :) Ps nice watch enjoy
@@ClickSpringReview small channels matter too! I dropped a comment on yours and not his. Cheers!
Thank You :)
Longines are doing a cracking job atm... But, I can't help but think this watch would be better if it was smaller still and time only. The loss of the moonphase module would slim things up a treat (+/-10mm) and a smaller face wouldn't need the moonphase to break up the negative dial space. But the quality and finish is certainly there. At 36-38mm, ~10mm thick and a plain three hander this would prove serious competition to JLC for 1/3rd the price. But I'm so glad Longines is back in the game.
You may like this other one I reviewed from Longines its under 10mm but does come in at 39.5 czcams.com/video/PucHHMEg98s/video.html
love longines and a lot of people (at least the country I live in), don't give enough appreciation to this historic brand.
nie review as usual
Thanks Sir its great looking model its just a shame it gets so much hate down to its thickness
Very good review. You're right about the automatic text. I can't unsee it now. Also the clasp should be better. Deployant for a dress watch always
Ive just got some Artem sailcloth straps with a deployant clasp, in for review now they are very nice and would of work well believe it or not with this
Cheers and thank you 🙏
Another great review. As others have said, it does look very much like the JLC. It would be fun to compare them both side by side on the hand. Would current brand ranking win over price? Looking forward to the Junghans review.
Thanks Sir , Unfortunately its hard to get hole of JLC I may have a word with Ryan and as if I can review his Reverso at some point
Hi Barry, this reminds me of the Master Moonphase, although the case design is different. The movement is clearly the same though, and with the Master series you can see the decorated engine ticking away. When I tried this at the local AD I wondered how it would look if the date/Moonphase display was replaced with a tourbillon... although I don't see it happening. But even so...
This is a nice piece Barry, if you're in the market for a dress watch with makeup...
Thanks for the video, have a good weekend, cheers, Bob 🍻
I know many knock this model for being to thick but all a dress watch is supposed to do is fit under a shirt cuff and at 12mm I believe this one does that. I like your idea of a tourbillon :)
I do like this one but do prefer there Master Collection 190th Anniversary I reviewed a few months back
All the best matey
@@ClickSpringReview 👍👋
Make no mistake, Longines are making great affordable watches, better all round than more expensive brands in my opinion.
They can do no wrong it would seem 👍🏻
Longines is crushing it. And the Legend Diver 39mm is imminent.
Thats one I hope to review soon Phil
really?? LLD 39mm???
@@Wvk5zc The LLD is 36/42mm The Longines New 2022 Legend Diver Model

I’ve just remembered I’ve already reviewed it The Longines New 2022 Legend Diver Model
czcams.com/video/_N2vfIKLV3k/video.html
@@Wvk5zc Yes - Google it and look in 'Images' for the leaked catalogue page. Reportedly is real.
Their prices are certainly on fire!
I've had few vintage ones in the past, but I resent being scalped these days.
it's a 2892-A2 with moonphase complication, the price is not crazy for something of this caliber. hell TAG and Tudor will sell you SW200's for the same price
Breitling will sell you a 2824 for almost 3K
“This brand…”
Fully agree with you on most details but looking through the loupe I found their QC is not quite on par with their prices and ambitions to fight Tudor and those brands above them currently.
One brand to never look at through a loupe or place on a timegrapher is AP as one would not believe just how bad they are plus GS are not all they are cracked up to be
Very nice watch. I do prefer the JLC ultra thin moonphase but I realise the JLC is 3 times the price
If money wasn't a factor I'd agree Sir
yes,i buy one .but the other color.
i think its very good.and the price not very high^~^
thank you for show it to me
Anytime Sir glad you enjoyed the review 👍🏻
While I agree that this isn’t a watch to take swimming, it can handle far more than just washing your hands. It has been tested to three bar atmospheric pressure. That’s more than you’ll ever need for daily activities and even surface swimming if necessary. Water problems are usually caused by old or damaged gaskets, and have little to do with the water resistance rating itself. Great video 👍
Hi Tickerman, Its an interesting point but unfortunate the meter system is very misleading , As yes it has been tested to 30m but thats with no dynamic pressure applied to it , So at just a meter if you were to move the watch around vigorously it could exceed the depth rating due to dynamic pressure being exerted upon the watch Sir
3 bar means do not get it wet! It does not mean you can take it 30m
@@dorningartsit does actually mean that it can handle water at a pressure of 3 bars. Your bathroom sink has maybe 1 bar at full pressure so you my good sir are absolutely wrong
How do you feel for the thickness ?
It look a bit thick for a dress watch
Its not to bad at just over 12mm , of you replaced the OEM strap with a thicker one it would appear thinner I believe
3:00 you don't need to worry much about this as this watch have safety mechanism
Hi Sir it comes with a card saying not the change date between these times as it can damage the movement
Without watching the video fully I’m going to guess the one problem is the thickness and flatness of the watch case. It is very handsome 😊
No its the way they right Automatic on the sub dial , just why ?
Every knocks this model saying its to thick but all a dress watch has to do is fit under a shirt cuff and this still does that , I really cant understand why it gets so much hate ?
@@ClickSpringReview I don’t hate this watch but I do feel a dress watch looks more elegant if it is thinner. Hamilton’s 38mm Intra-matic at 10.3mm thick works for me, I just wish it had a seconds hand
I just had a look at the Hamilton and its a bit of a looker , I'll have to see if I can get hold of one to review
@@ClickSpringReview Another looker from Hamilton is the jazzmaster Thin line a little thicker but has the seconds hand
Blue dial for me
They didn't have the Blue one in unfortunately but I do agree it looks great
Do you think there’s a steel bracelet out there that could fit this watch?
I'm pretty sure one of their bracelets would fit it but not sure which one
Its possible I'm sure
How easy would it slide under a shirt cuff?
I found it ok with one of my shirts ps good question 👍🏻
With no problem at all I'd say
What is the reference # of this model?
Its in the description Danny L4.815.4.72.2
@@ClickSpringReview Thank you!
Its always in the description
its a looker, but 19mm straps
Normally I'd say the same regarding the strap but it works with this one matey
12.4mm. No comments.
12.4mm is pretty good at this price point 👍🏻
The case is not proportional IMO 38.5mm all dial makes it a dinner plate ! Either thick bezel or smaller diameter to balance thing out
I didn't mind it myself as I have a few 38.5mm from Sinn and Nomos and find its prefect for my wrist size 7.25inches
It’s nice and as elegant as JLC but looks too thick
I find as long as it get fit under a shirt its ok
The JLC cost an extra £8000 more almost 4x more
Completely disagree about the automatic lettering
Thats fair enough TXA
30 m only :(
Its a dress watch not a diver so thats normal 👍🏻
Its not a diver watch Sir
JLC homage. If you‘d buy a Steinhart or Pagani Design, you might buy this one, otherwise not.
True but the JLC cost around £11.5k makes the Longines look like a real bargain doesn't it, Its amazing both brands are almost 200 years old
@@ClickSpringReview Sure, looks like a bargain just like a 150€ Pagani compared to a 10k Rolex. And for 3k there are lots of high quality swiss watches with an original design, including many amazing Longines models, just not this one. So why buy a homage?
There are always going to be crossover models there is only so much you can do when it comes to watch design, unless money is no objective, Look at how many companies you can say copy the Submarine plus my chrono with 3 sub dials look similar , Just look at the JLC Geomatic chronometer looks like a Paket 5227 or any other 3 hand watch .
@ClickSpringReviews I don't know or care about Jlc but Sorry, as Longines...along with a dozen of Brands Don't Even exist anymore. Just like RRoyce, Bentley, Maserati...etc, Don't Exist Anymore. They Are Legendary Names Bought, Abused and ridiculed and used by Huge parts Bin Sweatshops to Fuck people out of Huge money for mass produced Junk that's No superior than a $100 Watch or a $25k Honda that will Never be in a Shop Every week like those Cars ! Talking from painful experiences Here!!
Hi again , I have to disagree with the car brands as they never stopped trading but were just taken over with new management, You could say this about Bugatti but if VW hadn't of resurrected them we would never of had the Chiron which would been seem for the automotive world . This is why I believe choice is good
Too thick. What a waste
what size did you want it to be Russell
