An Inside View of RWJUH’s State-of-the-Art Central Sterile Processing Unit

See how RWJUH is preventing infection and keeping patients safe with its state-of-the-art, custom-automated Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Unit. CSP is responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of thousands of devices used in medical procedures each year. The unit’s automated system is unique within the United States.
The new CSP unit is part of the recently completed Phase I of RWJUH’s ambitious Surgical Services project. Phase one includes five new state-of-the-art operating rooms (ORs), including the state’s only intraoperative MRI and one hybrid OR, which is designed to allow flexibility across different surgical specialties, enhance collaboration among surgeons and offer patients better access to life-saving technologies.
